Hi Joe,
Can I ask you a favour? If you're In Holland, please, please, please do you want to sign some albums for the following: G.I.F.T. (that is the Guitar Instrument Founding Trust) an initiative of the National Guitar Awards. The organizers of this event, give support to guitar talents and music schools by providing them guitars (sometimes the education) when they're unable to finance this themselves. An important factor for funding these activities will be the auction of signed guitars by world famous guitarists and will take place via the Internet. The lucky winner is getting this guitar at the final of the NGA which will be held together with the Night Of The Guitars (Ask Steve Vai who joined last year). Why albums instead of a Guitar? I found out that you already signed an Ibanez for a contest... The National Guitar Awards is a National Contest for guitarist in several age categories... our ambassodor is Adje Vanden Berg. Next year they're going International... so what do you think?????

Can't wait to see him in San Diego in August. It will be the 8th time I've seen the master.
I'm thinking this might be his best show ever, because of the addition of Dream Theater.

Hey - first time poster...I already know there's somebody with the name Psycho_Monkey, so I'm waiting on activation for a new screen name (PSUKCAT13)...but I couldn't wait to post. JOE - you're a hero and totally changed the way I look at music and the guitar. Your playing showed me that the guitar itself can draw even more emotion than the human voice. I guess I'll give a little background info on myself since I hope to become a regular poster. I'm a 16 year old guy from West Virginia (yes, I wear shoes, and no, I don't live in a trailer). I play my Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 (emerald green flame top) or my JS1000 (black pearl finish) into a MESA/Boogie Dual Rectifier halfstack. I'm like Joe as far as effects go - very simple. Morley Bad Horsie wah, AKAI Headrush Reverb and Delay, Boss Stereo Chorus Ensemble, and Boss Flanger. And no, I'm not a spoiled brat that got gear spilled on him by mommy and daddy -- I'm a chef at a local restaurant and paid for all of my gear on my own. One question for Joe for now - Why do you use the Boss distortion pedal instead of using the natural amp distortion from your Marshall stacks? Thanks guys...later.

Hey Joe, i am going to see you for the first time when you come to Houston and i was wondering if you play any cover songs during the show. I have the G3 cd and some of my favorite songs are the last 3. I love the cover of "Red House". Also, have you ever done a Beatles cover, i'm a huge Beatles fan also.

Hey Jon... Hey Joe.... I noticed that you guys still have original guitar gallery from the old site... I think this needs a change as well... I know Joe has some new guitars that the fans really would like to see... The Chamagne coloured JS2000 with the stationary Low Pro Edge... The JS1000 Y2K Crystal Planet guitar... and also, how about that JS 7string too... Make it happen....Please!

Hi everyone. Well, the new site is cool and the new T2J is even cooler. No four hour time limits either...haha.
(test)
This is bold text . This is a link http://www.satriani.com/.
(end test)
Also...everyone that liked the old T2J. This is much better with the oldest posts first. You can mark posts as read, so you can always have things in order. It's much easier like this.
xrob - I think the 'edit post' function is there just to correct typos and stuff. If you have anything new to say, you should probably say it in a new post. ;-) Also, Joe's vocal song will probably continue to be Big Bad Moon. It'd be cool to see Red House or Going Down every now and then though. Or I BELIEVE! Hehe...
Zsolt77 - I'd go with what the venue says the date is. If you're still confused, check www.pollstar.com or maybe email the webmaster directly.
antwon - You can get new merchandise once the tour starts...
York - Go to the tour date archives and read my review for the 7/1/01 show. I listed the sets for all three performers and the jam...it was the same for all shows.
ThePsychoMonkey - Welcome to the site!
Vetteguy43 - Joe does cover songs during the G3 shows, but not on his own tours...
...Austin...

Just been listening to clips from the new album. As a result of this I will be getting a CD player fitted to my car but fast. My dear friend Joseph, you have no idea how grateful I am to you for adopting my previous online suggestion that you produce an album of sweet melodic guitar love ballads!.
Anyway, I've just jacked in a job I've hated for years and have a TICKET for the show at Shepperd's Bush on the 18th July, so I'm feeling pretty bongulous.
It would be cool and very well received in London if you played "God save the Queen" at the gig, after all our dear departed Jimi played it at the Isle of Wight all those years ago and her royal highness has just celebrated her golden jubillee, and Brian May played it at the recent palace celebrations. When you last played Shepperd's bush ( and as I said to a guy in the gent's "bathroom", " a genius at the height of his powers"), Brian May himself came in to dig the gig, he was in the top left hand corner of the auditorium, I expect he popped in backstage for a remenisce about Sevilla
Anyway, thats enough from me, thanks for the new album which very obviously from the title and some of the clips is "respect due" to the master "its too bad that our friends can't be with us today" and thanks for doing 3 gigs in England. Take care of yourself Joe. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER.

fyi, i have confirmation that the italy show is indeed on the 5th and passed on the url posted to joe's tour agency to look into fixing. i did just get an update of dates today so i'm going to load any changes/new shows shortly.
sleep walk is the only tune with fripp on it on the new album, and man is it a beautiful textured performance.
rumor mill says joe will be singing something other than big bad moon and that matt adds some sweet harmonies. at least that's the way it's sounding in rehearsal. you never know how things change on the road, but either way, joe's fans are in for a treat with this tour!
also, i've updated the color scheme for the talk to joe page :}
