Hey Joe I am really excited abuot the new tour comnig with King's X and Dream Theater. I want to know if there is a way I can send you an Mp3 of some of my work as a fellow musician. Ask Doug Pinnick about me. He's an online friend and we e-mail back and forth alot when he is not touring.
I wish I could see the tour, but I don't know where the closest show is gonna be.

GUITARS..... they drive me crazy, too... you said "more on this later".. you always say this JOE, but you never tell us more.... :( TELL US MORE!! ... see... you must be practicing hard for the tour next month.. wow, i would be psyched, too!! new material to play!! WOOHOO!! play some music that you haven't played on tour before. experiment with this tour a little bit. you don't have to be the same every time. well, i guess it's a little late for that kind of advice. well.. anyway. if joe satriani was a food, i guess he would be... umm.. raspberry jam. i guess. either that or a delicious cookie. see.. there really is no food that is short, bald, italian and a mean guitar player.. that's the problem.

IbztoneYou're Welcome. At full volume the high pass filter has no effect. All frequencies are present. It only works at low levels to clean up the sound.
FunkyMoFoThe JS2000 has a fixed bridge. It looks like a floating trem, but it's not. They used the same saddle adjusters and tuners, they just fixed the whole piece to the body of the guitar. Look on http://www.ibanezrules.com/namm02.htm for up close pictures. And check up Rich's page while you're there. He has some amazing guitars for sale. He even has a burnt blue JS that I have never seen before!!!!

Ah Joe finally pops in! I was listening to a few EOC tracks today. I STILL can't get over that mixo solo at the end of Champagne? - one of the finest solos I have ever heard! So uplifting. Amazing phrasing (ha that rhymed), and proof that Joe has more feeling on the guitar than any mere mortal. I can't wait for the new album, as Starry Night has also demonstrated what that solo in Champagne? and many others have already. I wish you good tour, and I will be sobbing uncontrollably as you are not going to be visiting Boston in September, haha. I'm pumped for the 25th!

gruskada - I know what you're saying too...but record companies are weird sometimes. It seems like in general they'd rather have a song that'll fit a lot of formats, instead of a song that "hits you really hard". It kinda stinks, but oh well... There isn't much that we can do.
Appie - That company went out of business a long time ago. I don't know if the page will ever come back.

At the moment, I've blocking my jacksons floyd for a fixed floyd feel like the JS2000. It's cool, cause you never fall out of tune. But it also sucks, cause it creates a little extra string tension, tension. To improve tension and tonal responce, I removed the locking squares from the nut, but then tuning became a huge problem. I installed a set of new strings with a professional whinding system to the tuner posts, which improved intonation somewhat.

Joe, I know how it is with guitars. They have an attitude all their own. You know you are always welcome to send one of those stubborn, non user-friendly guitars my way...haha. Good luck on your tour...try and get to Minneapolis next time around (maybe on a G3 tour?)......thanx....Dave

Ooooooowwwwwwwwww!!!!!!! I feel good...
Yeah! Stress was high, expectation was low, requirements seemed difficult yet straightforward... UNTIL it came time to do the deed, and edited
YEAH!!! Gotta love it when very important tasks are easy.
I wonder how I can go through 23 pages of new posts to see if there's any blue text? Okay so I know there was one and I found it, but in future...
Only a week until new album...
Damn Straight, you're too late to discover...

ice9mike: That burnt blue JS is available in like every other country, but the US. I don't know what the deal is with that, but that guitar looks awesome.

Masamune - You say that the tension on the strings is increased when you block your floating bridge? One thing you have to keep in mind is that when you bend a string on a floating bridge, the bridge gives in a little. Yes it's easier to bend but you have to bend the string further to hit the desired pitch. ........ It's interesting how when asked for the reason of a fixed Edge, one of Joe's reasons along with liking the sound and feel of a fixed bridge, he also mentioned how he likes the sound of the Edge. The Edge/Lo Pro are made of speltered metal. Perhaps it gives it's own tonality as a body wood would.

Hey Joe- I just wanted to say that you and your band are nothing short of phenomenal, and that I am going to try very hard to catch the Aug 26 show at Pop's in Illinois. What are the chances of me getting my beautiful white JS 1000 signed while I am there? It would be such an honor.... Thanks, Jay

http://www.baseballjunkie.net/features/archives/000101.html ..... A short mention of Joe. Nice to know some people recognize him. .............. Oh by the way, YA YO - I have been lsitening to SWTA lately... wow. I mean all the guitarists in the 80s try to be the fastest, most aggressive player etc... but on this album, Joe ends up accomplishing all that, while making sense out of his music. Crushing Day. My God. JOE PLAY CRUSHING DAY!!!!!!
