Vetteguy43 - It doesn't really matter if you tap with your pick, as long as it works for you. It just means that the tapped notes will have a slightly different timbre to most people's. If you watch the LISF video/DVD you should notice that whenevr Joe taps, he seems to prefer using the pick to tap all that really cosmic, full-on widdly tapping - watch the solo in The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing and you'll see that. But for the more "subdued" tapping, like Always With Me, Always With You and the breakdown of Satch Boogie he uses his middle finger. It really doesn't matter.
Local Dude - Yeah, that would be cool. I am indeed going to the London show on July 18th, so we could meet up there for sure. My other jam-buddy Danny J should be coming along too. I'd love to get together for a jam some time; it's the summer hols soon, so any time would be good really. Let me know. Where abouts in Sussex are you?
PhrygianDominant - I checked my mail and apparently I have none. Been having a few problems with it recently though...
3 - 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the Brazillians...

Shepherds Bush in exactly 33 days time. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait for the new album. How about making a live album on this tour aswell like last time. "Joe Satriani Live in San Francisco" has to be the best album that Joe's made yet. Live albums are just so cooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the classics on them. Love'em. Oh yeah, SBM is just going to shake my house to its foundations when I put it on to my CD player. You just have to play "War", "Time Machine", "Back to Shslla-Bal", "Memories" and "Hordes of Locusts" on the tour. My ultimate favourites!!!!!!!!!!! And all the other stuff which you played the last time you came to Shepherds Bush. I was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah and loads of the stuff from the new album. See you on tour. I have to win the aftershow pass. England won today. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm also plating "War" on Monday for my performance section in my school exams. Fingers crossed. MINDSTORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Yamboy...
The site looks & works Gr8! Ignore the posts that would rather have the most current posts on top, this new way makes MUCH more sense. If they use the "mark this as last post read" feature they should have NO problem.
NOW... Can you find out what (if any) Satch/DT dates are still to be announced???
Thanx... John aka =o|-[

I've just dicovered the new site, cool, sober. And what a surprise: Sleep Walk, a The Shadows cover ! What a great idea ! My first contact with instrumental rock music (I'm not so old, it was my mother's records!). I'm growing impatient for the realease. Unfortunatly in France radio stations don't give any interrest to instrumental rock music ... F%^k !

QUANTUM; I agree with you about the 4 hour post thing. I think everyone has enough respect for the site and others on it to not abuse the system.
Also, someone said "who plays bass". Well I CAN PLAY BASS". In the mean time ....

Naty - I work for local government, not very exciting really, the people I work with are fun though and yes I agree totally that humour in life is a must, without laughing there is no point. I used to work for an insurance company, very stressful, but the people I worked with were a great bunch of clowns which helped enormously. I wish life was just like an Austin Powers movie or Monty Python.
Phyrigian Dominant - you must have pots of money if you can stay on line during the game.
Anibur where are you, have you fallen off the planet.
Webmaster, I agree with some of the others, can we have the lastest post at the front, bit confused at the moment.
Goodnight everyone, LOL Sharon.

Joe, what ever happened to T Ride? I saw them open for you on the Extremist tour and was blown away. Their CD is still one of my favorites. You always introduce me to the coolest stuff. You taught Jeff Tyson right? Do you still keep in touch with Charlie Hunter? That dude rawks too.

Quantum: I don’t know if the webmaster can do something for tHaT guy that posts crap, there’s freedom of speech, even if in the wrong mouths is a tragedy!
PhryDom: a food? It would be a sweet we have in Italy, made of two or three layers of “lady’s finger” biscuits soaked in coffee stuffed with a cream made of an italian soft cheese, sugar and egg-yolks. It’s energetic, food for body and soul, just like Joe’s music is for me. These funny questions are only seemingly superficial, I like them, they make imagination works! Thanks for supporting Italy, hope they’ll play like England did today! You have dogs, but do you like cats? A lot of people that love dogs can’t suffer cats, I love cats but I like dogs too…

I don't mean to sound like a know it all, but Sleepwalker was originally done by Santo and Johnny. That is one good song. I'm a little late on this, but its cool that Joe warms up with Beatles tunes, they have some great guitar songs ("While my Guitar Gently Weeps" is one of my favorite songs ever).
