Hey GutterBoy lighten up, maybe if you weren't such a stiff you would see it's all in fun. This site was meant to be lighthearted. Don't be such a pussy even though you are one. Anyway i love you Joe, even though some of your dorky fans like GutterBreath try and police the site. Keep on kickin ass Joe.
See, that comment was a phenomenon generaly referrred to as a joke. You know, a lighthearted comment intended to make people laugh. Now, repeat after me: he was only joking. Very good. and now: when someone puts a winking smiley in their post, they're probably being fecetious.
Now, take a step back and perhaps you'll see that you should "lighten up" and understand that it was "all in fun."

I was just thinkin' about something when I read the post above mine......to be called a virtuoso............wow. That is really amazing. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, both guitar Virtuosos,. Martha Argerich, Tamas Vasary both piano virtuosos. These 4 people amaze me. To have essentially mastered their respective instruments so that they can do anything they desire. If they hear something in their head, the play it. Not too many of you guys around, hehe. Well done.

How's it goin', Joe. I'm a sixteen-year-old guitarist and your music has really inspired me to start writing my own music, but I have a feeling that I'll never get to experience your live show, because I live in an overlooked area of the country. I live in Olathe, KS, not too far from Bonner Springs and a Verizon Wireless Amphitheater (formerly Sandstone), so I'm not in as remote a location as some. I looked at your tour dates for this summer/fall, and the closest you come is Chicago. Can I ever hope to be able to see you live without having to leave the state?

alien32 - If you can't make it to a show, I'm sure you could get someone here to buy you a sweatshirt (if they end up being sold) and mail it to you if you pay them for it. Most of us are pretty nice... ;-) Ask again once the tour starts...maybe I will be able to help you out.

i was looking over at cdnow.com at satch stuff and on the live in san francisco dvd review it says this -
This performance finds Joe Satriani, the former Frank Zappa guitarist and rock star in his own right, burning through a set of the guitar pyrotechnics that made him famous. Twenty-five tracks are featured, showcasing this remarkable musician on both harmonica and guitar. This performance could be supporting evidence for Satriani's claim that he "invented" modern heavy metal guitar. ~ Rob Ferrier, All Movie Guide
zappa's guitarist? and i don't think joe would ever say anything like "i invented modern heavy metal guitar" i think that was yngwie if anyone said it...ughhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unlucky England... well, not really unlucky, although the refereeing was severely questionable to both sides, it went pretty fairly in the end.
If England had been at their best they would have won the game. But they weren't. Still, there are a few world cups left in most of them.

Hello Everybody, two great concerts last weekend here in Portugal (Lisbon and Porto) of DREAM THEATER !! ALMOST 3 hours of show, the concert in Porto (North of Portugal) was the best, the sound and people were fantastic. Both concerts were diferents, except that they played all 6DOIT (second CD) in both. In Porto Mike Portnoy and John Petrucci had given a few autographs at ROCKMUSIC STORE, Johm is great, nice person; Portnoy is a crazy cool guy :) ! People prepare to great concerts in USA, you have luck, DT and Joe togheter on stage, enjoy, all the best Alex from a small but sweet country (except my soccer team, good luck for you guys in worl cup) Bye take care.

Joe, you've opened a whole new world for me and my friends. I have an idea for your next CD title: "Heaven's Sounds" 'cause when I listen to your music...well, you can figure it out...Karmatic Heaven! Keep up the good work!

I must say Joe i have been listening to some of your demos you have here of your new album. This is not a good way to treat your fans! You can't tease your fans like this by having songs here before the cd is released it just sends us mental caus we hear the songs and know that to get more we have to anxiously wait till its released. Although the wait is long it is extremely worthwile! Your new songs sound unlike anything you have done before which is something that never ceases to ammaze me! I can't wait till the cd is out here is Australia and i know that i will be listening to it non stop! Congratulations on the new album! It is nothing short of a masterpiece!

Well it's cool that we are finally going to get some Joe Mail. We haven't had Joe Mail in a long time. Hopefully it will be loaded.
WEBMASTER :
I noticed that we haven't had a Satch question and answer segment for a long time, now I know that he answers sometimes in the T2J section, which is really gracious of him. But I think it would be cool to have another Q & A session since it has been so long. If you could set up a time for a half hour and do a live thing where we would know the time to be at the site and whoever gets in would get to ask the questions, than post it on the site...... Again I know this is asking alot, and I know you and Joe are very busy people since the tour and new album is here, but I thought it would be cool, since it's been so long since we have had a Q & A. Thanks Jon and Joe
4 more days til Music Bliss..............

I was looking through the cover of Steve Vai's 7th song, where he has written stories about the tracks. Ánd when I come to think of it, I would really enjoy to hear the stories behind the SBM songs. Of course they certainly of a very personal character, and perhaps Joe wants to keep the songs like that, but still... What do you think?
Ya Yo sounds like some unhappy mixture of Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen, lousy reviewers...
