I had no idea Joe picked up influences from Lauryn HIll :)
And yea, by the way, I had lots of blips and clips all over my listening party. Did anyone else had that problem? But It might as well have been the dial-up from my computer

Joe... hope you read this... I just listened to the new album over on the listening party webcast and I think its brilliant! I've been a fan of yours since about 92/93 when I was 12. Started playing guitar when I was 11, and you've inspired me to keep it going and I've learned alot from trying to play some of your songs.
Saw you once back in 1995 in Sheffield, UK and I hope to be seeing you in Birmingham, UK on the 19th of july (hope there are some tickets left).
P.S. to the webmaster: the new site looks great!

I agree with the last post - Although I was doubting it before I heard it "Strange Beautiful Music" is possibly the most fitting title for this album. I am not quite through it yet, but those three words sum it up perfectly!!! WEBMASTER - One suggestion for this board: could you maybe add a feature where we can enter someone's nickname and get a page with all their posts on it? Cause if I want to find a post by a specific person, I don't want to have to scroll through every page, especially if there are 20 of them!!! Thanks.

I have just listened to Starry Night and it send chills down my spine. It is the now my best Satch song... My best album used to be Crystal Planet but I feel all that is now going to change.
Joe, any chance of a guitar duet with Brian May for the UK? He could be your gate to the UK singles charts!!! Excellent work and I cant wait to buy the album....
Matt

Hey Joe,
My name is Travis Harrison. I am a writer/filmmaker living in colorado. At your convenience I would like to arrange a meeting with you to discuss the options of your writing and performing the original score for a film I'm directing in a couple of years. I would also like to discuss with you my first film which goes into production, if everything gets arranged in time, in July 2003. It's called The Search for John Lennon and, quite simply, we have designed the most interactive and grand marketing campaign in history for it, with out ultimate goal being the raising of funds to privately finance the American Education system. I implore you to give me thirty minutes of your time and I promise you won't be dissapointed.
Thanks for your time and even if you ignore this, keep making that guitar cry. If I had your talent, the world would never know because I would never quit playing long enough to leave the house.
A fan.

JOE, Just got SBM and it is a total masterpiece. I don't know how you can outdo surfing but this album is very close. Actually I've had the album for a month now so it has soaked in quite a bit. I just wish I could get the other two bonus tracks. My favorite tracks: The Traveler, Chords of Life, Starry Night, Belly Dancer, and What Breaks a Heart. JOE, you must play Belly Dancer on the tour. At least play it on the Concord show Aug. 11th. The outro solo on there knocks my socks off.
To those who rumor that Crushing Day is too difficult for Joe. I think its BALONEY. In fact, I heard an interview where Joe specifically answered that question. He and his bandmates "cringe" when they play the song and are bored with it. I can't believe other Satchaholics haven't addressed this yet! It is only by popular demand that Joe is bringing the song back on tour. I hope I've set the record straight once and for all. Have a good day Joe.

Liquidguitar- thanks. I knew that rumor was a stupid fake anyway.
I just called my local best buy again, and the dude said there's a late shipment of new releases coming in two hours! I'll call again. perhaps SBM is in there.
Crossing my fingers,
Daniel

Got new album and after the first listen I can tell I will be playing my guitar for hours and hours. The thing I don't get is I live in Fargo which has quite a few guitarists and the media play here which is one of the biggest record stores got two copies of your album? I bought one and it was the last so I said something to the clerk and he bought the other one when it came in and said there were only two. My girlfriend said so what you got yours, but I feel you are missing out on possible sales by it being off the shelve at this store after only two hours since release.
