Is there any way to find set-up tips that were on "old" site? Just picked up a used JS1000 (YES!) and wanted to set it up according to instructions on site - which have disappeared in redesign! Let me know if there is an alternate place to look or if I am SOL... Just got tix for 8/11 show with King's X and Dream Theater - oh my God, what a show that will be!!!!

Shell - It was me with the naked audience bit, NJ Beast try it and see if it works I'm sure it will help. Once you get your first track out of the way nerves should be dropping.

Austin - I don't know how old the joke was, it was one of the rare clean jokes my husband told me.

Have you heard this one.

A lady goes to the doctors with skin off her knees, the man next to her says" how did you do that", the lady says "doggy fashion" the man said "you'll have to do it normal style now. "Yes" she says "But the dog's breath stinks" ha ha

ENGLAND PLAYING TOMORROW AND MICHAEL OWEN IS FIT. COME ON ENGLAND.

Steven4578 - Stu isn't working with Joe this time around. He has his own solo projects that he's busy with.

jezzabelle - The presale codes aren't for website users here... It's probably a code for a local radio station or something. The codes are usually very easy to guess. They're usually the call letters of the local radio station or a word from the band name or album name of what is being promoted... They're pretty easy to guess.

drafter37 - I'm sorry to about your father...

akreepish1 - I think they called it a double harmonic scale.

...Austin...

JEZZABELLE- it won't matter what the code is...ticketmaster won't sell tickets until the day of sale, credit card, internet, nothing...i called like a month before they went on sale and they told me no exceptions but they knew what concert i was talking about so im not sure what you need the presale code for? just go down to your closest retailer (wharehouse music, tower possibly) and wait till the doors open and get your tickets...we got there right at the moment they opened and the first 2 rows were sold out already so people all over are in line at other retailers, but the good thing about ticketmaster is as soon as you decide what seats you want they hold them right then as "sold" so they arent taken before you pay for them! but a word of warning...if you do go down the first day they won't show you the seating chart!!! not sure why, so know what seats you want and how the seats are arranged at the venue before you go....good luck!

edit: by the way, anyone who wants the ultimate amp to playback SBM's SACD-ness look at http://www.stereophile.com/showarchives.cgi?253

it has 1-bit/2.82MHz sampling rate A/D converter and 2.82MHz Direct Stream Digital input for SACD playback....$15,000...empty those piggybanks!

Hey GutterBoy lighten up, maybe if you weren't such a stiff you would see it's all in fun. This site was meant to be lighthearted. Don't be such a pussy even though you are one. Anyway i love you Joe, even though some of your dorky fans like GutterBreath try and police the site. Keep on kickin ass Joe.

Hi Joe, Would you consider to come to Belgium during your European tour in July? Your gig in Gent back in 2000 was fantastic, and I would really like to see & hear you again. So hey, just come to Belgium on July 17th to share your strange beautiful music with your Belgian fans. It's the best way to travel from Amsterdam to London anyway, ... and I'll buy you and the band a drink after the show. Promised. Hope to see you guys soon! Geert (without any doubt supported by all the other Belgian Satriani addicts)

Thanks Austin, it is indeed a Double Harmonic scale... quick correction though, we have to call it a DOUBLE MIXOLYDIAN HARMONIC, since the identical tetrachords both start on what would be the fifth of the harmonic minor scale

ex., E F G# A B C D# E, E F G# A --- the upper tetrachord of B harmonic minor, B C D# E --- the same of E Harmonic minor...
