READ ME!! Holy shit! you've got a lot of messages. How r things? I started listening to guitarists like yourself about 3 years, playing about 5 yrs myself. I use the trusty pentatonics and some other major scale that stretches roughly 9 frets, and I use the diminished scale for that distinct classical sound. What else can I do with my guitar? I reckon i'm gettin pretty fast but what other large stretching scales can I use for a build up in a soung, you know the ones, the strings are muted and if u play it fast enough it sounds almost like a machine gun or something? Oh yeah can't wait for Dublin gig july 21!!!

Joe, I've been playing guitar for ten years or so and I have a question. Where do you find the majority of your inspiration? I'm thinking of doing an instrumental project myself and I thought I would go to the best for advice. Thank You

about the stage fright thing, here's my advice: its just keep going, don't give up....ever. If its really bad, and you think you've made a complete idiot of yourself, and you can never show your face again......that's the one you have to follow on from. The next one will be better. However bad you think it is, 90% of your audience will be wishing they could get up there and do what you are doing, half as well as you do it!! The other 10% will be feeling pleased because they will think that there's more hope for them ....so you see, you can't lose really!(Unless you give up...)
michelle :) good thinking!
ps. Where's AVARICE these days? Scared off by the new layout???

PhryDom --- thank you so very much!! you rock..!!
Fenrir --- As evident from my posts, i support the threaded message board thing. Jon (webmaster) informed me that Joe prefers the T2J this way. But i guess that's a bit of a pity, cos the guys here all seem to know each other well and could talk about many other Satch-related or music-related topics. I'd hate to post off-topic on T2J.

JOE- Well what can I say? I reall ydon't know other than thanks for the music as always. Yeah guitars drive me crazy to when they don't wanna work right. My ax series seven is giving me some pickup probs and I think it's because I manipulate the toggle switch alot, or the transformer is blown. I'm not sure which. MY new seven how ever, RG series that Dino Cazeras plays(did i spell his name right?)
works beautifully. I mean the action was set almost perfect right out of the box when I bought it. I still keep me a little six string around, but I have a little grx series for that , but I want a js100 and an RG six for like my live gigs and stuff.
well gotta go JOe. I have work to do.
gilamonster-I just want to say hi and I'm sorry that the file was to big for you to recive. I'll work something out to get you a full length cd though when I'm done writing somemore songs for it. Talk to me later yuo have my e-mail.
BYE Satch fans and Joe.

Is there any way to find set-up tips that were on "old" site? Just picked up a used JS1000 (YES!) and wanted to set it up according to instructions on site - which have disappeared in redesign! Let me know if there is an alternate place to look or if I am SOL... Just got tix for 8/11 show with King's X and Dream Theater - oh my God, what a show that will be!!!!
