anibur- nice to see you, to see you nice.
Plum Loco - great news, very exciting, so are you moving in with April? Scary but exciting... good luck with the whole thing anyway.
New Last Jam- (it just happens to have come on)
Those who like trundrumbalind will like this one :) It's not 5/4 all the way but one of the main riff is. It's also got a fair bit of whole tone scale goodness. Kinda sounds like it should be on both the Crystal Planet and the Not Of This Earth records... in my opinion.

Hey Joe...
I've noticed that since "Crystal Planet" (at least since then if not before) your CDs already come precoded for certain systems. When I play the originals in my car CD/MP3 player (I've made copies so I don't ruin, or so nobody can steal the originals) the CD name & artist name, & the track names show up. Anyways... when I play "Strange Beautiful Music" the CD name shows up as "Stranger Beautiful Music". So much for SONY's quality control :^)
Gr8 CD, Can't wait to hear it live on Friday the 13th

Hey,
Can anyone tell me how Joe gets that kindof hollow/being inside a glass bottle-type sound on his guitar for the main melody of Crystal Planet on the LISF dvd? It sounds sssssooooooo smmoooooooooth:) I love it. Rock on Joe!!!

SBM is incredible. I can't stop listening to it! I keep playing it thinking I'll get sick of it, but it never stops playing. Oriental Melody is absolutely beautiful and a great way to start the album. A masterpiece! Belly Dancer is definitely one of the best songs on here, it would be amazing live. Starry Night is more emotional playing by Joe, a great tune with great playing and I LOVE that tone! Chords of Life is very unique. It isn't my favorite on the album, but I do like it. Mind Storm, well, it's Mind Storm! Sleep Walk is mellow and creepy - in a good way! It gives me chills. New Last Jam - I love that 5/4 riff!!! Mountain Song is an awesome song. A driving beat and interesting arpeggiations make it memorable. What Breaks a Heart initially weirded me out a bit, but when I heard that ska-ish part for the first time, suddenly it was all worth it. Now I really like the entire song! Seven String is a deadly riff, it's got a great chorus and, my god, that solo! Hill Groove is definitely my thing, with it's upbeat and happy jam-like sound over a groove with more of a swing than Joe tends to have. The Journey has an INCREDIBLE beginning! The rest of the song is good too, but as soon as the track starts I am caught up in that guitar playing. The Traveler is cool but I don't have much in particular to say about it. You Saved My Life is a beautiful laid back way to end the cd. Bravo. Sorry for the long post but I LOVE this album!!!! Great tones.

Michelle..I liked your story about getting the new disc..so thought I would share mine. I took lunch around 12 and got the record store..only to find the bear walls..and i'm thinking why couldn't they close tommorrow..? just wanted Joes cd..not to browse...just in and out..done. So then I had to hit another store in the mall...ended up being late getting back to work..but Mountain Song..on the JBLs mounted in the production studio in which I work was worth the boss riding me..he was like Joe who...? and I said you see...this is why I hate you so..he left and I blew the door of the hinges...and got paid to listen to Joe the rest of the day...!!! oh yes I did

Sparrow - Oh yeah the tag. I remember now. I have seent hat before I think thanks. About Joe donating His 'Black Dog' JS1 to the Hard Rock Cafe, I am pretty sure it was the one by Niagara but I don't remember how I found that out. It is the actual guitar.
...I still haven't heard the album. ORDERING IT TONIGHT.
JS Clone 1 <---- Definition of insanity. Symptoms: Chronic drooling, paranoid, talks to self.
Causes: SBM not being shipped to Canada until September and having to wait the few days for order shipment.
JOE - The Clones will be in the front section August 31st. You can't miss us. See you then.

ethn - Yeah, my favorite song is Why. So you are right, we do agree on some things. I just think it's weird how we're so far apart on some other songs. LOL. That's the cool thing about Joe, though...he has a lot of very different music...everyone can find something that they like.
evbro - How can you have nothing to say about The Traveler!?!?!? Come on...the wah is awesome. :-)

I´ve been listening to SBM for3 days... I love it
It´s more melodic than the previous records.
I really think that is a great album... I don´t see why many ppl think that Joe´s playing in thi record is sloopy.
I want to hear more carefully to write a carefull review
But so far... is GREAT!

Whooo...happy Saturday...new computer on order, should arrive by Wednesday. That would explain my strangely beautiful mood.
MAN...I just realized it's 2 and a half months until the Pittsburgh show. And I really want the backstage passes too. My JS1000 is just starving for a signature from the man himself.
Gotta love the new Chili Peppers video...hope their new effort is as good as Californication (sorry if this kind of music doesn't interest people here...)
Well, the European leg of the SBM tour starts in about 2 days...good luck to Joe and the band, and to our European friends on this board, be sure to enjoy the shows and tell us all about them.

Hey what the...
I went to edit my setlist, only to find a lot of songs I never included in the first place!!
I mean, I'd have to be crazy to put Flavor Crystal 7 on my setlist (sorry Joe, I just don't like that one).
Anyone else had this experience before?
As far as SBM, I think this is the most mature album Joe has put out. Very tasteful, restrained and yet it offers wild solos like the one in Belly Dancer. What Breaks a Heart is amazing. You can hear a broken heart in those mid-song screams. And it's also fairly easy to fake your way thru it on the guitar, so it goes into my top 5 list of BEST SATCH SONGS EVER. In all, another great album from the master.
Hi to all, and to all a good night. Later.

Joe,
Your new CD really rocks, it is destined to become another Satch classic album. Anyway, I have a question, why do you include additional songs on the albums released outside of the US? I feel shut out. Why should we, fans living in the US, pay an arm an a leg to get a hold of your imported version of the new CD? Are we not "worthy" of the additional songs on the regular release?
