In my humble opinion..EOC is a testament of creative genuis that is Joe..album after album..it is just as well thought out an executed flawlessly..as everything his fingers go on..period...he has always raised the bar on guitar playing for me..and I am fan of many players..a more gifted player is hard to name. God Bless.

alien32 --- That's really odd! the first time that came to mind when i heard that barre chord segment in "chords of life" i immediately thought of "all along the watchtower!" well, not that that detracts from the song cos it's still a great song and i actually liked the fact that there was a little Jimi in it!!

As for KWS, perhaps you should listen to his more recent stuff? i know his first album sounds very much like another SRV clone but the "The trouble is..." album was really good and had more of a rock vibe. I have to say that KWS isn't that much of a clone of SRV except for the gear he uses. ONce you hear that SRV tone, you might just dismiss KWS as playing the same kinda stuff that SRV plays but that's not true. Many songs dont' sound like SRV e.g. trouble is, was, in 2 deep, slow ride, blue on black...

sweep_pick --- i think Ibanez will stick to the tilted output jack; I believe Joe has some control over his signature model but so does Ibanez. Get used to it, cos my JS1000 has the tiltet output jack but i also prefer the normal one.

Mak --- it's definitely ok to say negative things about EOC but since many ppl here who initally disliked it now love the album, you ought to try it again!

JBALZE, thanks for taking notice...but don't take away the M&M's!

ANIBUR, it was the white sticker that holds the top of the cd together under the shrinkwrap, so I'm pretty sure yours had one on. They come from the company like that. It's still stuck to my windshield too. lol!

Listening to New Last Jam on the headphones right now. On the opening riff I always imagine John Bonham (sp?) is going to come into the song with that killer beat, but in reality, it's our beloved mechanical monkey, Jeff. LOL!!! Don't anybody flame me for that one, I'm just joking. I love Jeff! LOL!

THIS IS TO THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE TILTED JACK----GET OVER IT! JOE CHOSE TO HAVE THAT ON HIS GUITAR FOR A GOOD REASON. ITS MUCH MORE STABLE AND IS LESS LIKELY TO BE YANKED OUT. MY JS-1000 HAS IT AND IT IS GREAT AND LOOKS REALLY CLEAN. YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL TO OWN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL GUITAR. AND IF YOU HAVE SUCH A PROBLEM WITH IT, GO MAKE A FEW GROUND-BREAKING RECORDS OF YOUR OWN, ENDORSE IBANEZ, AND MAKE YOUR OWN CUSTOM GUITAR. UNTIL THEN....DON'T BE SO PICKY ABOUT SOMETHING SO PERFECT.

Besides, they rule. How can you not like a tilted jack?

Hey Joe, Just wanted to let you know that the new album is great. I am amazed at how you can come up with such music, or should I say Strange Beautiful Music. Me and a friend hope to catch you with Dream Theater in Austin in August. I saw you there with Petrucci and Vai and I was blown away. I felt fortunate to see you that night because I got to see the original G3 lineup when Eric Johnson showed up. May God continue to bless you and give you inspiration as you have given me to continue to grow as a musician and as a person. Best of Luck on the new tour and I hope all goes well with everything. P.S. I loved your version of Sleep Walk. Hope to hear it on tour. My God be with you and all your family and friends. Keep Jammin' !!!!!!!

Michelle:Will you settle for Snickers?...lol...About the tilted jack thingy.I like that feature because you can wrap the chord around your strap(For you strappin young fellows)& it won't get pulled out.If you choose to sit down?...the chord doesn't dig into your leg.Pretty nifty idea I thought:)Does anyone have any comments about wireless systems? Are they worth getting? Are they reliable? Tennis Anyone?...jblaze

Who started all this tilted jack non sense? In reality there are both styles of jacks on JS series guitars. The JS10th and JS2k have straight in jacks. Many of Joe's guitars are straight as well. Just watch any concert footage. I believe his main chrome boy is straight. I have both styles, and it really doesn't matter to me. If you thread the cord through the strap and guitar body (like Joe) you'll have 0 problems with the thing falling out.

Hi, I'm new here, but I wanted to tell you Satch that you are the greatest guitar player I've ever heard. Your new album is simply amazing, adn the song Mindstorm is, in my opinion, on a par with Summer Song from the Extremist. I've introduced many of my friends to your guitar playing virtuousity. One of them said that your music reminds him of what Jimi Hendrix was beginning to do before he died. Not sure how you'd take that. Please keep up the good work and excellent music. It's a breath of fresh air in the dark ages of music we're in.

Everyone that's talking about EOC - I agree...Champagne? is probably my favorite song. Then there's Borg Sex, Devil's Slide, Clouds Race Across The Sky, Until We Say Goodbye, and Attack.

ROVER - Go to the tour page and click the "a" next to your gig. You can add yourself from there.

Ya Yo Gakk - Have you ever been to Knott's Berry Farm? Montezooma's Revenge goes from 0-60mph in like 5 seconds. That's probably my favorite roller coaster.

Here's part 5...

Mind Storm - I love it. This was the first new song title that we knew of, and I think it has definately lived up to all of the hype it got on this site. I was a little worried about what Joe might do with a seven string guitar...I didn't know whether or not I would like it. Of course Joe did not disappoint. I like a lot of little things about the song, such as the guitar fill from 2:45-2:49. Of course the rest of it rocks too. :-)

Any comments?

...Austin...

JSC1 - I've been getting a bit of grief from IUMA lately too. Every photo I try to upload ends up on the site as a big mass of grey. I can upload new texts and stuff but not pictures it seems. I hate to think what's gonna happen when I try to upload new songs in a few days... Regarding EOC also, I said in my last post that I've really been getting into it lately. I used to think it kinda sucks the whole way through, but I decided to give it another listen just the other day. I still don't like the first three tracks or "Attack!" that much, but from "Until We Say Goodbye" until the end of the album it's absolutely minbblowing. My favourite song on the album is "Clouds Race Across The Sky" and my favourtie little bit on the whole album is that two-part contrary motion figure at the end of what I suppose could be called the chorus. So simple!! I dont do pot anymore but that song, along with Slow And Easy and Engines Of Creation, are the sort of music I can imagine getting really hammered to, and just sitting there chilling, y'know? lol

Local Dude - Damn striaght I'll be at the front! I'll be the guy with the blow up guitar, probably wearing a Dream Theater t-shirt...

Austin - Okay, I meant Sleep Walk... Who did that originally?

Tilted Jacks? Who really cares. If you don't have one but you want one you could just buy one of those cables with the L-shaped Jacks. If you have one but you don't want one, then why did you buy a guitar you weren't 100% happy with? Don't buy a JS Series just because it's a JS Series...

Whoever it was enquiring about wireless systems - If you get one you have to be prepared to buy a really expensive one, because I have a relatively cheap one and it sounds like crap. It muddies up the sound like you wouldn't believe, so I just bought a really long cable.

Over and out, Neil.
