LIQUIDGUITAR: click the little triangle in the bottom right corner of quicktime, ya know, the triangle that points downwards, and go to connection speed and choose a slower speed. I had to do the same thing, even though I have a cable modem.

I BOUGHT SBM! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA TO ALL OF THOSE FOOLS WHO SAID IT SUCKS! I must admit, I did have my doubts at first, but then I listened to the listening party and those doubts were UTTERLY DESTROYED! And now listening to Chords of Life on my cd player, and damn, the solo is crazy!

Joe, I just put a song list together... You're going to have to stop coming out with CD's or play longer sets. The selection is to difficult to choose from anymore... I vote for longer sets. Looking forward to seeing you this summer!

Still not a single air molecule that has been vibrated by SBM has touched my eardrum. I am really hurting here.

JAYJO AND ALL OTHER TORONTOIANS Ok what are we doing about this album man? We could order the U.S. standard version from www.amazon.com , we could roadtrip to buffalo or we could order from Japan to get the bonus track version.

Btw, feel free to say hi to JS Clone 2 and I on August 31st at the Amphitheater. http://www.satriani.com/2000/road/2000-04-25/3joes.jpg

PJH: Thanks for the info. Here is the link to that interview. http://www.guitar.com/features/viewfeature.asp?featureID=74 There will be a menu on the left with different videos and it's labeled "Mike Manning - Guitar Tech for Satriani." They have it in Windows Media and Real Player format.

Joe, I always have said "Flying in a blue Dream" is the best album you ever did. I now relinquish the title to your new album. Fantastic job Joe. You didn't go too far one way or the other......you nailed the son of a bitch right on the head....style wise and technology wise. Leah and myself are already scheduling to either see you in Phoenix or Albuquerque (since you won't come to utah!!!!! ughhhhh is it the mormons???) My best......Jim

Question JOE:

Did you use Mesa/Boogie amps on this album? If so, which models...and for which songs? Thanks

Joe, I noticed you are in the current edition of Guitar Player magazine, and what's with the little dangley leather things on the sleeves of your coat? And the black! What's it with you and black?

Has anyone else ever noted that Joe's fans are all fanatics? That's because Joe is original. He writes great music and captures the......... various organs... of listeners.... I guess.

Hey Joe, A BIG BIG thank you for putting on the SBM Quicktime party. I've just enjoyed the whole album streaming to a 33K modem!! It worked great. Thanks to Apple too. Can't wait to get my copy of the CD now. Is the surround sound mix still in the pipeline?

Got my concert tickets today. Yahoo! See you in July. Best of everything to you,

Lol

Well Joe, I've been a fan and admirer of your music since the beginning, and I must say that SBM is, with out a doubt, the absolute best collection of sounds that you have ever done. I'd tell you my favorites........but actually, they are ALL my favorites. It's just so completely overwhelming from beginning to end, with supurb production throughout. You simply never cease to amaze me, and I think that's what I like about you the most. On behalf of all of us in this forum, I want to thank you wholeheartedly for everything you've done for us, by opening our ears to the kind of music that is possible in the capable hands of a true artist, by inspiring those of us who play the guitar to even greater heights, and setting the benchmark for all of us to achieve. You've come a long way from those days when you made those first solo recordings out of your own pocket, to the pinnacle of greatness you so rightly deserve. May you continue to show us the way for a long time to come..........See you in Camdon on September 8th.

What's the deal with the album not being released in Canada until September? Is there a mistake? It says worldwide release on June 25 at the start of satriani.com. I don't understand this, and I'm not really too happy about it. Someone explain please.

Hey I have a question about the setlist. Song #1 means that it is the first song I would like to hear Joe play in his set or does it mean that it would be the number 1 song that I want to hear Joe play? Thanks.

Much improved Talk to Joe section. I like!

I've been tuned in to the listening party for a while now, and this could well be my favorite, or my second favorite Joe album yet!

I have a BIG, HUGE, TREMENDOUS, IMPORTANT, IMPOSSIBLE-TO-ANSWER QUESTION FOR JOE!:

You started out GREAT. But you only got better over time. It seems to me that you have shown a steady, progressive improvement with every album, both as a guitarist and as a composer. The latest is no exception. Personally, I find your last three albums to be your best. This is good! The question is, how do you keep it up!? Is it something that comes naturally and you don't think about it, or are you constantly practicing and critical of yourself?

BTW, while I have your attention (if I do!!) I'd like to say I think your tone and phrasing are always divinely inspired - but, these too, seem to have improved, and I prefer the new Satch to the old Satch. As good as the old Satch was, he's put to shame by the new one!!

Joe,

SBM is your best ...and I have 'em all. When I received the SF Live DVD for my 40th birthday, all I could think about is buying an Ibanez JS1000...Guess what? thanks to GC in Santa Clara CA, I now can only dream of playing as fast as you on my new "Satch" model. Hope to make it to Concord in Aug for your show (an autograph on my JS1000 would be sweet hee hee...) Now back to playing Mountain Song......Yes!

Peace, Richie Lee

Well I've gotten a few listens in and the verdict is in - He shoots he scores!!! Joe does it again! Sick, sick album. At first I wasn't sure what to think of it. I thought to myself, "gee, this is some strange but beautiful music... Wait a second!!!" It is so raw and emotional and great!!! Lots of different styles but a coherent feel to the record. I wasn't a big fan of What Breaks a Heart at first, but that reggae section makes it all worthwhile. Oh, and Joe, you wanted to know some tunes to play live? Well I think Starry Night and Mindstorm are kind of givens now, but BELLY DANCER must be played live!!! It would be amazing!!! I'd like anything from SBM though. Kudos to the whole crew for a kick ass CD!!! One of your best.
