pakihaki - I had a little trouble reading your post... Did you say Joe played Crushing Day and I Believe? I love I Believe...I hope he does it here in the US. It'd be cool if you could write a review for the tour page and include a set list. Thanks. :-)
climber - Post it here when you figure parts of it out...I'm sure we can help with parts you might not know.
atomiq - Try to post the review again. Did you write down the set list?
sebboi98661 - I don't think Joe will make it to the Northwest this time around...sorry.
...Austin...

ps sorry for the huge run on sentance, you know how it is when youve got this idea your trying to express and you let your head get the best of you

I just read a whole bunch of peoples reviews and I saw some weird stuff in their like comparing joe to zeppelin and hendrix, I dont know if its just me on this but I couldnt agree less man, he has all these differend feels in there but everything joe does is him and I dont think its fair to joe to put him down on those gyes levels of playing I mean sure they are true greats but nobody compares to joe, there is just this unexplanable vibe ressonating from his music unlike hendrix where you could figure it all out in a couple minutes or what not, and page is up there but more in a action packed sort of way, most gyes that are truely great build up the solo and than take down easy like joe but page is just crazy the whole way which creats his own style but it is not on joes level of just pure unexplainability he just wows after every song and comes back to throw down more crazy stuff the next time around....... and every time you think you know joes style he changes it on you so your just lost yet amazed thats what this new cd has been all about more relaxed yet still uncontrollable joe

Just a few words about Sleep Walk . I knew it was one of Joe's favorite tunes for having read it in an interview 5 years ago . But I don't remember if Joe said thanks to whom he had discovered it . Can someone tell me ? In my case , I know this song thanks to my father cause he is a great fan of The Shadows who covered it too .
JOE - What do you think of this band and Hank Marvin ?

Hey Joe or others....I was in my local music shoppe today, as I do!!! to get a price for my electronics fitting, I saw something interesting...they had two JS-100 guitars with tilted jack soccket's.....one was black...but the other was RED!! I didn't know there was a red version. but The guitar I really fell in love with was the RG-550 - only a few more weeks to go!!!

HEllo Satriani land. JOe- I haven't been able to get the new cd yet, but I am gettinjg closer to it. I actually had to sell one of my guitars just to keep my account open and pay my insurance, and I wanted to cry. it was my old six string, but It was my only sixstring. I have two sevens that I normally play on, but I usethe six string when I want to play some King's X stuff or alot of other people that use that Db tuning.
Anyway, hope to see you in Grand Prairie soon. maybe I will be able to go to this one. I am going to miss the King's X show in dalas this wednesday and that has me really bummed out to. BUt hey my girlfriend loves me so that's really good.

Flea Bass - We may think Hendrix does easy stuff nowadays, but he changed the way guitars were played. I think Joe's the best guitarist ever, but Hendrix is definetly right beside him. Hendrix made some incredibly complex stuff, you just never hear about his best songs because people only pay attention to his "Rock" songs (Purple Haze, All Along the Watch Tower, Fire, Foxey Lady and etc.) "Castles Made of Sand" is a great song. "Red House" is one of the best blues songs ever. "Voodoo Chile" is great. Strange Beautiful Music is a lyric in "Third Stone from the Sun" which is a Hendrix song. You also can't say that his stuff can easily be figured out, Joe even has had difficulty with it.
Joe says in his latest lesson in Guitar World, and i quote, "My true goal in studying the modes is to unlock the secrets to the sounds inherit to the music I already knew and loved. When I first got a grasp of the Mixolydian mode, a light went on in my head: I relized that the melodies to Jimi Hendrix's "Third Stone from the Sun" and "Are you Experienced?" are based on this perticular mode, which made learning much easier."
He also made feedback popular. well i dont know if he made it popular, but he was the first to use it in a song (besides the Beatles that is). So I hope i havent sounded like i was ranting and raving, i love Joe just as much as everyone else, but when someone says that Jimi can't be compared to Joe, i get a little crazy. I mean, Joe probobly wouldn't even be here if it weren't for Jimi, SO TAKE THAT!
And also you said that everything Joe does is unique, but he also says in an aricle in the new Guitar World, that the first solo in oriental melody is "purely Hendrix inspired".
