Hey Joe or others....I was in my local music shoppe today, as I do!!! to get a price for my electronics fitting, I saw something interesting...they had two JS-100 guitars with tilted jack soccket's.....one was black...but the other was RED!! I didn't know there was a red version. but The guitar I really fell in love with was the RG-550 - only a few more weeks to go!!!

Pavie, thanks for posting the setlist.
Very cool list Joe ... "Crushing Day, Headless Horseman, Midnight, I Believe, Why" ... were these accurately reported?
If so, please hang on to these gems for the US leg. Thanks!!
Next tour ... "The Forgotten" ... don't forget.

HEllo Satriani land. JOe- I haven't been able to get the new cd yet, but I am gettinjg closer to it. I actually had to sell one of my guitars just to keep my account open and pay my insurance, and I wanted to cry. it was my old six string, but It was my only sixstring. I have two sevens that I normally play on, but I usethe six string when I want to play some King's X stuff or alot of other people that use that Db tuning.
Anyway, hope to see you in Grand Prairie soon. maybe I will be able to go to this one. I am going to miss the King's X show in dalas this wednesday and that has me really bummed out to. BUt hey my girlfriend loves me so that's really good.
thanks Joe for al the music and inspiration.
HEy Everyone, if you would like a sample of a couple of my Mp3's e-mail me at THE1TONY@aol.com. they are free and bug free so no viruses to worry about. I hope you will like them. IF youlove Satch or KOrn or anything like it, you'l like these songs I hope. IF youhave MSN messenger e-mail me and tell me your contact name and I will find you on Msn as well. Have a great day everybody. Be cool, and God bless.

Flea Bass - We may think Hendrix does easy stuff nowadays, but he changed the way guitars were played. I think Joe's the best guitarist ever, but Hendrix is definetly right beside him. Hendrix made some incredibly complex stuff, you just never hear about his best songs because people only pay attention to his "Rock" songs (Purple Haze, All Along the Watch Tower, Fire, Foxey Lady and etc.) "Castles Made of Sand" is a great song. "Red House" is one of the best blues songs ever. "Voodoo Chile" is great. Strange Beautiful Music is a lyric in "Third Stone from the Sun" which is a Hendrix song. You also can't say that his stuff can easily be figured out, Joe even has had difficulty with it.
Joe says in his latest lesson in Guitar World, and i quote, "My true goal in studying the modes is to unlock the secrets to the sounds inherit to the music I already knew and loved. When I first got a grasp of the Mixolydian mode, a light went on in my head: I relized that the melodies to Jimi Hendrix's "Third Stone from the Sun" and "Are you Experienced?" are based on this perticular mode, which made learning much easier."
He also made feedback popular. well i dont know if he made it popular, but he was the first to use it in a song (besides the Beatles that is). So I hope i havent sounded like i was ranting and raving, i love Joe just as much as everyone else, but when someone says that Jimi can't be compared to Joe, i get a little crazy. I mean, Joe probobly wouldn't even be here if it weren't for Jimi, SO TAKE THAT!
And also you said that everything Joe does is unique, but he also says in an aricle in the new Guitar World, that the first solo in oriental melody is "purely Hendrix inspired".

Joe, I love the new album! Your playing and compositions keep getting better. Sonically, while this album sounded better, and had less of a "direct" recorded sound, I think it still suffers from sounding a little mushed together, especially when there is a lot of distorted guitar going on. I think you should try to use a Line 6 Pod Pro instead of the palmer/neve setup as your interface from your amps to the mixer. Also, I think the album sounds significantly overcompressed. Those things aside, great album! I can't wait to see you this Agaust in Orlando.

Hey Joe....sorry, had to throw in the Hendrix pun due to posts of late....anyway, the new record sounds great. It's got a very smooth and flowing vibe to it, which is indeed a good thing from time to time, and I particularly like the acoustice rhythm with the nice open/mid-range-ish bluesy/melody licks in "Chords of Life." As previously stated, however, no part of it is a disappointment. To the other folks, Hendrix was a type of musical revolutionary, that at his time was on top of the guitar playing heap and inspired many to take the instrument further. The revered Satch man is by far at the top these days (and I don't personally think it's physically possible to get any better) but at some point, perhaps there will be someone inspired enough by his virtuousity to take the next step with the instrument.

Hi Joe, I am conquered by your new album and impatient to be to the Olympia on Monday evening to see you playing. I am sur that will be a surperbe concert. 2 years ago I had missed you, but I had meant that the next concert which would make in France I would not miss it. And I held my bet. It would be great if I could win an aftershow moreover, but it is already indeed to see you.
In Monday evening Joe

I agree with everyone, SBM gets better & better with each listen. Joe always hits the right notes!!! My favorite part of the cd is the solo at the end of "Belly Dancer"!
I have a question for anyone: How do we find out who the "Meet Joe aftershow" winners are?? I did enter my name....I'm attending the Aug. 13th Denver show. I would like to meet Joe!!!!!!!!!

Last night I listened to SBM on the headphones for the first time, I didn't noticed it before but THE TRAVELER is so cool
It about brought tears to my eyes, to me that song is on par with Love thing and Rubina's blue sky happiness as far as
bringing out feelings in me that only Joe's music can........
