Matt, I envy you. When I was a junior and senior in highschool, all I wanted to do was go to Berklee. Though I have family in RI, I did not have the finances to attend. I'm very happy with the way things have turned out - no regrets. It's great that they gave you a scholarship, that alone should say something about your music.

I'll talk to you all later... gotta work now.

Hi Joe! The new album is great - I've got it right up there with The Extremist now! I've got a quick request for you - could you and your band somehow find a way to come up for a performance in Maine? No one ever comes up here to do shows, and the ones that do are crap bands that no one cares about anyway. We need some REAL music up here, and hey - all the lobster you can eat! Are there any plans for a show in Maine? I don't see one on the tour list yet.

Please, help a brother out!! :-) Thanks Satch, great new album!

Kell - I haven't touched my 7V for months. I am not comfortable with it at the moment. 1 thing is my little phobia of wearing the gold off the trem. Also my action on that guitar... I can never find the right place. I think i'm going to try to get back into that guitar soon with some different setup ideas.

Plum Loco - Well said man. I'd love to hear what you guys put together. We'll see if I can actually get a decent sound on my iuma site then we'll see what happens with me.

Pete Mulas - Faces of Satch!!!!!! HAHAHAHA~!! They were all hilarious except for the chicken one. That was disappointing but the other 30 or so were hilarious. Joe has to see that.

IbanezLoverForLive - That's rough man. I don't know what I would do if that happened to me. Don't wanna think about it.

JS Clone 1: I won my Jem from Vai's boxed set purchase, but upon recieving it, I could not put it down. I wore off the gold finish in the first two weeks. It is the best sounding/playing lead guitar I've ever had. I still prefer to use my other guitars for backing tracks.

Plum Loco: i couldn't agree with you more.

Pete Mulas: those faces are hysterical!

Ibanezoverlife: DAMN!!!! That would truly suck....Sorry to hear that. Later..

JSC1 and Death Cube K - Thanks for the interest in the video, but I haven't even got my hands on a copy of the VHS yet (it was the Venue who filmed it, not me..) so it might just take a while. And Richard, I know what you mean about wearing the gold finish off the bridge; my RG570 has (or should that be had?...) a gold bridge, and where I rest my hand has gone all black and crusty. Nice... Still, it's a small price to pay for having a sweet guitar.

Guess what, folks: there's a new tune on my IUMA so go check it out if you're interested. It's a first take improvisation over a backing track I got with a Guitar Techniques magazine. It's called "Let's Hear It For A Minor!!!" and I bet you can't guess what key it's in... lol

Dear Joe,

We went to your concert in Paris yesterday (7/12/02) with my brother and as always we really enjoyed it a lot. We just felt a bit uncomfortable with the fact that there were only seated seats. The energy is just not the same in a concert if you can be standing and moving or if you can only sit. Also one problem is that with the assigned seats, we and some other fans who really enjoy watching your fingers when you play could not really see them as we were to far away. It is somehow more democratic to have these few standing places in front for those who are motivated and want to see things from closer. And for those who don't, they always have the choice to sit down. So just to say : please for the next concert come back to the "traditional" arrangement. I remember that even last time you played in Olympia the seats had been removed in the front rows, which was great.

Thank you very much for your music and for all the good energies you are sending !!!

Christoph

Maybe we should tone down our posting on this board, so that Joe will be able to read them all when he gets a chance. As it is, he'll just be skipping through them (as I am).

yamboy, maybe you should add a 'talk to each other' board to compliment the 'talk to joe' board ...
