GOOD MORNING MR SATRIANI...The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off ("Honey, I'm home. What the....?!") === thought that would make you laugh !!

SPARROW.........i've just checked out that photo, i'm wondering where the other guys are pointing that sword !! Looks nasty ! Which gig is the Webcast going to be at, London ??? Let's all guess............ Luv anibur***

Hey JAYJO: Right below "Post Message" in green you will see "View messages from the last 1 hour"....You can click there and then click "go" to get the lastest posts from 1 hour~6 months!! BTW, Jon, WEBMASTER GURU: Wouldn't it be a good idea to make the heading "View messages from the last 1 hour" with the "1 hour" and "go" icon's in black or something?? It is hard to see, and look's like it doesn't work.... THX for the info on the WEBCAST, and thank's for the head's up on the photo's :-)....Also PROG X: Tomm. is Friday, and I'm going to check and see if I can find "SBM" in one of the stores here....Will keep you posted.... Peace all in /\/\ind Stor/\/\....I mean SATCH LAND!!! /\/\ike

JS CLONE1, Rich: I was reading your post about the gold hardware on your JEM and was wondering if a coat of edge sealer or something like that wouldn't help the wear?? edge sealer in a clearcoat finish (if you didn't already know) that hardens like a rock....I wonder if that would affect tonality though....It is pretty permanent stuff, but you should get a professional luthier to give you some help on solutions...Good luck and don't be afraid to touch that JEM!!!!!!! I wish I had one!! It's amazing how Evolution's can jack-up the price of a guitar to almost double the amount!!!!!!!!!! Peace, /\/\ike

@Ovation1 : yeah, well, was no real big deal over here, south of Tokyo bay/Yokohama was hit pretty bad I heard, Today is really hot and humid (as usual) and no clouds in the sky ... weird weather.

Yup, would be great to get together for a satch concert ! (though I checked the venues that were posted a while ago here, for Japan, and they had somebody else listed on the same day)

Okinawa ! man, I've always wanted to go there... I've seen so many beautiful pictures of this place...

I'll go back to work now ;-)

JSC1 - I think it's quite a rare axe; it's an RG570 Ltd. or something, but I assure you it's definitely an RG (it says on the headstock...) and it definitely has gold hardware... I might post a picture or something so you can see for yourself. Incidentally, I also got my grubby mitts on that VHS last night, so the video clip might be online by the weekend (fingers crossed...)

Pete Mulas - Thanks, man. When me and Danny (the guy who recorded it for me, also a guitar player and Satch fan) listened back to the recording he was like "you should have put a bend or something right after that..." but I told him I liked it the way it was, because everybody would have put a bend there... lol :) I'm still working on my own individual "voice", but I also figured that if you're going to sound like somebody, you may as well sound like somebody good!!!!!!

L8r, Neil.

MY IUMA (there's a new tune - check it out...)

John you're a genius, like Joe. I have to see that webcast, although our computer ALWAYS breaks down when doing stuff with Quicktime. I always can't download songs. But that's not a problem because in the end I always buy the album. Only another 7 days until Shepherds Bush! Love the new photos. The colliseum photo is just the best. All Satriani fans rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to play "Back to Shalla-Bal in England! Right now, I'm practising 9 hours a day because I want so badly to get to your standard Oh Joe the Greatest. Best wishes from your most loyal fan.

Hello Joe !

In 1986 I started learning and playing the guitar. I learned with private teacher (former student of GIT California), after that I joined workshops at the munich guitar institute with Hoey, Hanson,Gambaly and other guitar prof.) and Jazz workshops at the free music center munich with a teacher from NY.

16 years of waiting to get a chance to enjoy your great music live, have an end. It is a greatfull pleasure for myself that I can see you and your band live at Honberg Summer Festival in Tuttlingen / Germany on the 14th of July. It is my Birthday - what a perfect day, You are playing live on my birthday.

I wish you and your team a great european tour and great concerts.

Maybe my dream comes true on day, to get a chance to attend a workshop by yourself.

Best wishes from Boris (Snowmaster)

Hi Joe. I love the new album. It speaks volumes. I'm kinda new to your music. My brother in law got me liking your music, and now I can't get enough. He is buying all the remastered cd versions one by one, and giving me the regular versions, which is great cuz I'm getting almost all of the albums, and the ones that I won't get from him because they were mastered to begin with I am buying myself, so in within anotherr month I should have all of your albums. One of my favorite albums you have that I have been listening to is "flying in a blue Dream" I expecially like "I Believe" and "Big Bad Moon". He said that you sing Big Bad moon all the time at concerts, but he has never seen you or heard you sing" I believe" live before. Is there a reason you don't. I don't know about other posters here but I love that song, and I would love to see you do that live. Of course your instumentals more than make up for it, but I still would like to see you do it live, if your not comfortable singing that song I understand. I couldn't get in front of a crowd and talk much less play guitar and sing. Well, gotta go, I can't wait to see you in Cleveland.

Hey guys and gals, any of you own a JS-100? I just bought one from eBay and it should arrive any day now. Can't wait!!!! :-D

Anyway, I'd like to hear what you think of the axe. And if anybody got experience I'd also like to know how it compares to JS-1000, which I'm planning to buy in the future. Any info/opinions etc. appreciated. :-)

hi PJH the 100 is surely a great entry level guitar , you'll find it easier to play than the other of the same category ... when you'll have in your hands the 1000 you'll find the definitive guitar :) if you want to see reviews about the models go to my site in the "tech" page there is a link to User's reviews :)

Hey PJH...i've got a JS-100 as well, and though i am not a good player, i did made the adjustments to get it as close as a JS-1000 as well....i've got the EDGE bridge installed and also the FRED and PAF PRO pickups...never played a 1000 before, i've heard that the neck is a gem to play....i will someday....i hope i can withstand the urge to buy a JS-1000 then, cause i allready spent a fortune on my JS-100, hahahaha....but i love the 100...really do....enjoy it !!!!

Ovation 1 - I'd probably scrape all the gold off to allow myself to play it. DAMNIT! Why does Ibanez make it like that?!? Shouldn't it.... STAY ON? There's no point of it unless you keep it in a bloody display case. Hahhaha, believe it or not, I was considering converting my Jem into a hardtail. That means having the whole trem cavity and rear cavity filled it and putting a hardtail bridge on. Oh man, that would be one of a kind. I'm actually goig to do it to my RG though. I'll get pictures on somehow.

Master Yoda - Ah the ltd. What else is different from a standard stock RG570?

WEBCAST!! Nice........can't wait for that one.

Well my finger is messed up right now. I was paddling in dragonboat and I jammed my right 5th finger between the paddle and the gunnel/side of boat. It's all bruised and swollen and I got an x-ray today and the doctor told me that I cracked the tip of it and I can get a splint if I want. So now I'm trying to type here with a big metal sleeve over my finger. It ain't easy!

My piano exam is cancelled now, and everything is messed up. 5 weeks to totally heal.

I still don't like the new T2J section. I find it way too hard to navigate around. Is there any way to get to the last page of posts without cycling through every 20 or posting a new message? For some reason my computer chose not to have some messages set as unread.

That's all ladies and gents.

JS CLONE 2: Man that sucks, just a few weeks back I did the same thing with my right index. Yeah the F.U. finger. i got to stick that thing at alot of people. Same thing. fractured tip. It's screwed alot of my tap work. In a way it's kinda good for me, I'm learned an alternate way to tap. It's almost healed now. however my original tap finger is still sensitive, but now it's made my playing stronger and more versatile because I can do crazier tapping techniques. I gained more experience, well something good has to come out of it. You'll find it. Joe Satriani rocks, I find his style easy to play. I began playing when i was fourteen. today I'm 22. I began with Jimi Hendrix, mastered his style and learned nearly all his songs from start to finish. today I've been studying Satriani's style. The only thing I cannot do cleanly is what Satriani does on that hammer-on technique trick on "Mystical Potatoe Head Groove Thing". When I play I have moved the notes from their original positions so I cheat by two-hand tapping the phrase up the fret board, its easier this way. He still Rocks though.

Because he came up with these songs first.!!! Rock on SATRIANI!!!!!!
