Michelle --- Hey, girl, my parents NEVER had a problem getting ME out of bed...they had a problem getting ME to go to sleep! My brother Matt, on the other hand, was another story. If a truck drove through the house, he would pull a board over his shoulders and go back to sleep. We used to have to throw BUCKETS...I said BUCKETS...of ICE WATER on him REPEATEDLY to make him get up!! At 25, he's still a pain in the ass to waken! He used to request repeated wake up calls from me at ten-minute intervals so he wasn't late for work. Would not answer his phone. Went to his apartment and WHAMMED on his door at 5am, woke up everybody in the building EXCEPT for him. After two weeks of this, I said to hell with it, no more. Dude sleeps like a dead body. Anyway, when he actually IS up and awake, he and his band, Gorman Prophecy, are busy keeping everybody else awake and ripping down venues across the Baltimore area! Click on the link to check them out! :)

Peter Mulas --- Man, dude, that is some screwed up sh*t! Funny though! I especially liked the one with Captain Picard! I suppose with William Riker on rhythm guitar and keys, Geordi LaForge on drums, and Worf on bass, they'd be a force to reckon with touring in support of and playing hits from their new album, "To Go Boldly Where No Man Has Gone Before"! Tunes such as "Final Frontier", "Warp Core", "Engage!", "Tachion Emissions", "Subspace Carrier Wave", and "Number One" are all songs I'm sure would make it into their set. They could even do a cover of Joe Satriani's "Borg Sex"! :) Before the show, Picard's entourage would be eagerly attending to him, making sure his head was neatly polished...um...geez, my imagination is getting the best of me again. Anyway, funny stuff, man! And BTW, as soon as my new tune is finished, I'll see what I can do to work on that MIDI file you requested. Know any good easy-to-use MIDI editors that I can download?

To all --- Anyone know where I can pick up the Japanese import of Strange Beautiful Music? I want to get the album so bad, but I've been holding out fo the import. "The Eight Steps" sounds like a real winner that's not to be passed up. Why Joe chose to put his Sleepwalk remake on his album when he could have used the space for "Eight" I'll never know. If anything, I'd have used the re-make as the obscure bonus track! Oh, well...I'm sure he had a pretty good reason for doing it. Which brings me back to my original question...where can I get the import? Anyone know? Any help is apprecaited, much thanX in advance! Money is no object...

Kudos!

Dragonchild - Firstly, welcome to the Satch commune... lol. Dream Theater, you say? Either "Images and Words" or "Awake". My personal opinion with Dream Theater is that they kick ass until the all-too-often keyboard solo, when they start to sound like the music fomr some cheesy game show. He's a great player, but some of the voices he chooses are a bit, er... crap. But in the meantime, Deftones "White Pony" is a great album...

Master Yoda --- I have a few friends who feel that Dream Theater's keyboard solos sound cheesy and that guitar synth patch sounds awful! Personally, i always thought it sounded fine; also, whenever i play DT music for friends who aren't that into music/or musicians, they think DT sounds like circus music!!

DragonChild:..I've heard all the Dream Theater works but never bought an album until I heard "Metropolis"...A little mellow off the start but kicks @$$ after song #2...I agree that the Keyboard work was like a bad Jan Hammer knock off.Ya can't have everything right?..lol...Either album you choose will be a good one:)..Q:How many wraps does it take to get to the center of a Humbucker?...I guess we'll never know...lol..jblaze1

dargonchild- if you like instrumental music, both albums by liquid tension experiment are quality,- John Petrucci (guitar of Dream Theater) , Jordan Rudess (Keyboards of Dream Teater) and Mike Portnoy (Drums of DT) are all in the group, just a different bassist (also really good). So if you want to hear instrumental John Petrucci, LTE and LTE2 are great.

There was a football tournament at my college today, 5 a side. there were three groups of three teams, and the winner got through, along with the best loser from the three groups. My team lost our first game, and completely thrashed the second team, giving us a goal difference of +5. And a team with GD of -1 due to a complete cock up got through to the semifinal instead of us. So rude! And they wouldn't retract it even though they could see that they were wrong. Grrr. Still, Sports Relief won so that's the important thing.

(I scored 7 out of our 9 goals). So I'm not too unhappy. Our captain was completely mad (he didn't score any)

Joe, I'm sorry to hear you're not able to make it to Seattle, WA this year. Any chance of a late minute swing through at the end of the U.S. dates?

Well, I understand you have a life and the logistics might not line up with making it to Seattle. Looking forward to hopefully seeing on the next tour.

I've been seeing your shows ever since I heard your 1st song on the radio Satch Boogie in 1989. It seems it took awhile for it to catch fire. Been a fan ever since. You exude a lot of emotion in your music.

Thnx Scott
