GUTTERbOY:
Thank's for your comments. I learn every day.
When I started the voting campaign, Joe had less than 100 votes. (He was just above Eddy van Halen). Right now Joe has 395 (!) votes and has become the second guitarplayer in the Dutch poll.
The question above the poll is this: "What guitarist has made the most impression to you?" And to be most honest, that guitarplayer does not exist in the list of the poll. (For me it was and is Jeff Healy). But form all the guitarists I can choose from in that poll, Joe is (in my opinion) the best guitarist for this moment in time. And I have seen him perform. (I have also seen Jeff, and he gave me chicken skin being brought as an invalid to his guitar; exposing himself as the greatest blues-rock guitarist I have ever seen; that was very, very impressive).
I like Joe for his music but also for his aproach to the music and his (almost humble) comments towards other performers. His comments are a lesson to every guitarplayer on this planet. But still I concider myself as a guitar music fan, more than a Joe Satriani fan. (I do like all kinds of guitar music).
Some calculative facts. There are 35702 members of this site. So I guess that some have read the voting messages more than once (they can also vote more than once). But it's more than possible that others read about the voting for the first time! In stead of being some kind of electronic equivalent (funny to compare me with that, had smile a bit), I have proove that the method works so far.
And any comments written the way you do are of no harassment to me. I fact I thank you for your comments. It helps me to improve my campaign, one way or the other.

Hey Satriani. I have a bad habit of saying last names and not first and I dont like backspacing cause when you do that you second think yourself and I like to type what I am thinking . Anyways I cant say I am a huge fan ( But I've probably heard a few songs and didnt know that it was you ) .I am 15 and I live in Pennsylvania and I am a huge huge huge Pink Floyd fan. Well to get to the idea. I have been playing guitar for 2 years and I go into aol guitar chats and talk. And alot of people go onto yahoo.com and go into their voice chat rooms to play guitar and see what people think. Well I did that and someone recommended that I listen to ' Bad Horsie " by Steve Vai. I was blown away , and for weeks now I have been a big Vai fan . I was on his website and I found out that you taught him and Kirk Hammett ( I'm not to fond of his new songs but I like most of his riffs and solos ) .. So I thought
"Wow this guy taught two people I like to listen too , I should check him out . " So here I am now .. I am leaning towards going to Best Buy ( or another place ) and picking up Strange Beautiful Music (SBM when I see it on this ttj board) I know you probably dont have alot of time and wont get to see this but I thought that maybe there was a remote chance you will. By the way Happy Birthday. Hope you get a cool guitar , thats what I want for my birthday. Few notes : I saw your guitar in the latest Issue of Guitar World.. man that is one of the nicest guitars ever. Speaking of Guitars I have a Musicians Friend catalog with me and I see your guitar in the Ibanez part. Why doesnt it come in Chrome? They only have Transparent Red and Black finish.. Dont know what you should do but maybe you should have them make a Chrome JS100.. it would make that guitar so much cooler. Oh. Happy Birthday. Its cool to see an accomplished (Correct spelling?) Guitar Player like you. Well . Peace. Hope your next cd is awesome.

Hello Joe!
My name is Marco Tullio . I was to the two shows that you made here in Rio De Janeiro. Simply incredible! When it will come back to the Rio? I bought the DVD Live San Francisco, but still I do not have play... funny? But for it has here that to be to slow same
My humble guitar was stolen of my apartment. If it will be able to send me one, exactly old one, I I would thank you so much. In our church we buy a JS100. Exelente! Well, I will be praying the God for the guitar and you.
GOD bless you!!!!!
sorry my poor english.

SHARON..........I AM PRETTY SURE that if you take the tube (or start from there,) You turn right when you come out , walk straight down to a weatherspoon pub, then left & down about 1/2 mile. It was the old Odeon, ( cinema) so not a big venue. It overlooks the 'Green'. hopefully london people will correct me if i'm wrong..........

Happy Birthday Joe ! I have to tell you that this weekend I was at the Tropicana 400 race in Illinois. When they were doing the pre-show ceremonies...awards etc..they started the music in the background on the pa system, my 5 year old screamed 'It's Joe Dad, this is great !" Yup, Summer Song, Cryin and Friends was cooking. This was the first time he has ever seen Nascar and it really made his day to hear your music. Thanks ! This is turning out to be a great year for him first Nascar and in August he will be at the Rosemont Theater. After his nightly reading before going to bed, he chooses what cd of yours he wants to go to bed. SBM is his current favorite. Take care Joe, see you in August.

no aftershow pass :(
It turns out that I have ONE SPARE TICKET for the Shepherd's bush empire gig on thursday... it's unreserved standing (at the front) so if you're interested, e-mail me as soon as possible at paul.huxley@ntlworld.com - I'm not going to be able to find a satch fan to go but maybe you know someone who you could take along- or if you just really want to be in standing at the front, e-mail me. paul.huxley@ntlworld.com
