Saw Joe last night in London, totally totally amazing, we were treated to some old stuff and some new stuff from SBM and a fantastic duet with Matt and Jeff. Joe must have been about six feet from me and all of us lot on the front row. A young lad passed out right by us, he didn't look too good at all, hope he is ok now. Paul Huxley, hope you got home ok, we didn't get back until 1.30 this morning. Andy has gone off to work but will be home early to take my lads to Brum tonight.

Naty you should have caught that plane, you could have parachuted out and landed right on the green in front of the venue.

Jofdm - LOL also means Lot Of Love.

Phyrg Dom - what's up with you then, nothing contagious I hope, is it finger ache from too much typing on this site.

Bye for now

Sharon

OK, here are the last two songs in my SBM-review. I'll shut up for a while now. ;)

THE TRAVELER- It has a very catchy main riff theme, that keeps coming back to my head every now and then. The part 1.17-1.37 is awesome. But I'm not as huge fan of the wah-sound as Asutin... :)

YOU SAVED MY LIFE- I can't help it but I do have a weak spot for this type of songs... Maybe it's the romantic, feminine side in me talking, I don't know...lol. I'd love to hear it all acoustic. The little heavier wah-sound in the part 2.15-3.02 is really nice!

Done for now, back to work I go... Ciao!

JSC1 at his date here in Rome Joe explained that the guitar has two different intonation the upper must be an open intonation ( he played some chords using only his finger as a capo ) and the other has a standard tuning... now I don't remember in which song he uses the guitar..

London Shepherds Bush gig, any chance of another one to make up for people like myself who couldn't make the gig because of the bloody undergroud strike in London on the 18/07/2002. I was very annoyed that i couldn't make the gig, so please can we have another 1. I'm sure i'm not alone in missing the concert yesterday.

Please......

Oh man, that show last night was fucking awesome... Crushing Day live, I Believe live, Midnight live, The Headless Horseman live. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Just when I thought "Surely he just can't get any better..." I guess I was wrong. And those trousers were too cool. Then I hung around afterwards and met Joe, he signed my guitar and I had my photo taken with him. He really is a nice guy, really down to earth. But very short!!! He was standing on a step when we had our photo taken, and he was only about the same height as me. But I think he liked the guy before me better, because he had a Chromeboy and a Crystal Planet guitar to be signed. I only brought my humble RG570 Ltd... I also met Jeff and he was cool too.

Paul Huxley - Great show, huh? What did you think of Ned Evett? I think it would be interesting to hear him without his effects... I thought you were going to be waiting around after the show to meet the guys... When are we gonna have this jam, then?

Clarky - Didn't see you anywhere, man. What time were you in there? I was in there pretty early, and we started queuing at about half past three, but I kept going in there for a piss every now and then...

JSC1 - The two necks have different tunings: "Hey, check it out - I got a really weird tuning going on here." Plays bottom neck: "That's pretty guitar-like, right? But I thought what about if I tune all the strings to E? So much easier to remember!" The 1st and 2nd strings are tuned to the pitch of a standard 1st string, the 3rd and 4th strings are an octave below that, and the 5th and 6th strings are tuned to the bottom E. Crazy stuff...

L8r all, Neil. I will refrain from posting my IUMA for a while - until I feel worthy again. If ever...

Over and out.

Hey! The Gig at the Bush last night was absolutely awwesome! You guys in Birmingham are in for a real treat tonight - the supporting act, brief though it was, was also fairly mindblowing.

A good day out, also met a nice dude - Chromeboy 1999 (hey Mark!) and got Mr. Campitelli's drum-stick! Chromeboy 1999 - when I get the chance, I'll send you some photo's from the gig and also that mp3 of the JS10th song I was telling u about (once I've figured out how to convert it!). Nice meeting you mate!

take it easy all, Toady

I'm in a big rush so I'll post a lot more later as well as a review but Ned was pretty cool, Joe was AWESOME - Why? was great live, Joe's trousers were also awesome, and I didn't wait behind after cause I had to run (yes RUN) to Victoria in order to catch a train to Gatwick and then get picked up from there (it was the best I could manage).

I was in the front front row on the right- I saw the guy who passed out be carried off Sharon, nice meeting you and Neil Morgan- Clarky I managed to miss you, I don't remeber anyone except Neil who wore a Dream Theater T-shirt.

I'm getting my photos developed today hopefully, so I'll let you know later.

great show.

Master Yoda, Neil Morgan - quote” But I think he liked the guy before me better, because he had a Chromeboy and a Crystal Planet guitar to be signed. I only brought my humble RG570 Ltd" I think this comment is unfair, Joe treats everyone the same I did not feel he gave ME more privilege signing my chromeboy or crystal planet – just I asked for a little extra he obliged. I am 100% sure if you asked the same he would have done it. Now you know who I am. Your 570 was really nice, even my mate gave you a compliment.

Mr Nick, Tube strike was pretty much total, no transport underground anywhere, buses were full up, conductors were pushing some people off. We set off by car from the Midlands at 5.30am, parked near the venue at 10.30am. Roads were chaotic but wouldn't have missed Joe for all the tea in China.

Paul Huxley, nice to meet you too.

I've had a thought anyway, after watching Joe and his lightening fingers I have come to the conclusion they must be bionic. Perhaps Joe is related to the bionic man. Anyways I've never seen anyone play so fast, accurate or have that much stretch and suppleness on the old fingers. Anyways we were blown away.

Can't wait for your return Joe

Love to all Sharon

Joe - thank you so much, not only was the London gig fantastic, but to actually meet you and briefly speak to you was awesome beyond words. You are truly a great guy, and I hope the rest of your tour goes as well as last night. Thanks for signing my picture as well as posing with me and my friends for a photo - I'll never forget it. My son and some friends missed the concert in London last night (18 July). There was an underground strike and the main line trains from the East were out of action, so they could not get there. The organisers and ticket web won't give us a refund.

They were very disapointed and have lost thier money too. Perhaps Joe could put some pressure on them to make an exception under exceptional conditions!!!

What a fantastic night in London. Thanks Joe, you were awesome. Just love those pants, & wahat a coooool denim jacket with all those surfing colours on it , WOW. ( He only wore it to introduce Ned at the beginning.) We were 2nd row back in the seats upstairs, view was fantastic & even though we were close, When i used my binoculars, it was like i was stood next to you !

When i was queuing round the side at the beginning , i saw you emerge from your taxi, & walked up to you with Wembley ticket & pen in hand, you were getting closer & only 5 feet away, & your Bl***y security guard ( about 7 foot tall !!) stood between you & me...............I'll get you next time !The rest of the crowd didn't take any notice! You were unshaven, & what a beard ;-)....HI TO SPIDERFINGERS & OTHERHALF...SORRY we didn't get to say goodbye, good to meet you.

Hey Joe, I've been reading the reviews from all the fans whom you've enlightened so far. They seem kind of mixed which is rediculous because you are always the best. But when I read the set list I'm disappointed for one reason which is that you don't play Chords of Life. That is personally my favorite on the album. But I guess since you have been playing Crushing Day and Why (especially " Why", been waiting for that one) it is cool. Never the less buddy, I'll be at the August 28th show in Chicago so if you want to rip off some Chords of Life I won't mind one bit :) Keep rockin' out buddy.............Adam

Hi Spiderfingers & otherhalf..........thanks for saving those brill seats. Sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I loved Raspberry Jam, Surfing, always with me, headless horseman.............& all the jams. Especially at the very end of friends.......Joe stood next to Jeff on the stage ( with drums on) & let RIP . Hi Sharon , Shell, Paul & everyone,we arrived a bit late, after a 2.30 hour journey in the car, should have taken 1.30 hours. So got straight in the queue. Shell/Sharon, were you upstairs ? I also saw that guy pass out at the front, it didn't put Joe off though.............. get back to London soon Joe, pleeaassee.... luv anibur****

OUTSTANDING performance at Shepperd's Bush Emire last night! Thanks especially for playng "I Believe", Joe. Drums a bit loud though, de-emphasising the guitar a touch, but what a minor criticism given a FANTASTIC night with Mr Satriani and the band!

Any chance of a few more English gigs another time? There were a dozen touts outside the auditorium ofering money to fans for "spare" tickets. This unfortunately sends a message which might tempt some to buy extra tickets to sell to touts for a profit, which is hard on genuine fans many of whom are students and not wealthy.

THanks again Joe for playing in London
