Thanks everyone for your condolences and blessings. The funeral is going to be on Friday. I have decided to play a slightly shortened version of Chopin's Nocturne in E Flat Major. When my family came over to my place last week after my grandma collapsed, I played that for my grandpa, and although he doesn't have much of a short term memory, he knows his Chopin, and all I could hear was him singing along with what I'm playing. The singing wasn't all that great though, lol, but not too shabby for someone who's 87 years old.

xcrystal planetx: Yes, I am not all knowing. I was trying to give only what I know from experience, for me. Others have succsesfully used custom sets of strings/springs, just as 'Clarky' has reminded me.
Good! My hands are just too strong now for (Me) to play that type of guage. I started on a 008 set when I was younger and still building tensil strenght in my left hand. Please feel free to use what you like for whatever reasons you feel to use.
Creativity is everything. I'm 44 this year August. I still think of my self as a "student" of the guitar, even though I teach privately disabled guitar student(s). Sometimes if the rules don't apply, cheat! If it works, all the better.
There is no wrong way to play. Just inapproperate. Best of to all in satch land. Joe: Great songs!
Wonderful to hear you are having so much enjoyment playing this tour! Btw Clarky: Thanks. i love the disscusion! It's good to hear from alot of experience from alot of satch-ites. Be cool. KTF Randell

Ishavedmyhead - Both JS and DT will be playing 90 minute sets, regardless of who is closing the show.
drafter37 - I have no answer...sorry.
justi85 - The chrome on Joe's guitar is a chrome coating. The guitar isn't solid metal. That'd be very heavy...LOL.
NonSmoker - Congrats on 4 days. You're doing great.
punkdude75 - One of the necks has each string tuned to E.
...Austin...

JOE - I am so glad to hear the tour went well. .... PLEASE play MEMORIES and HORDES OF LOCUSTS at Toronto on August 31st! For the Clones pretty please??? Maybe it's asking for too much but Joe, I was watching a bootleg I have of you playing Toronto in 1990 on the FIABD tour. It was an excellent show. You were so so energetic and into the songs and you moved more. Also every now and then between songs you have have little jams with Stu. For instance after the Crush of Love if you remember... I will make a cd with that tour on as a video. Hopefully you will find time to watch it.

Death_Cube_K - i have a 2k2 three channel dual recto. (love it!)
no, i don't sound like "new metal", not that it's bad, just not me.
it's too bad that it's been stereo-typed as such, 'cause it's very versatile. again, tone starts in the hands.
You got the deal of the century if you picked up a 100 watt 6100 head for $250. was someone in need of a crack fix or what?(just kidding folks)
gotta go - we're writing the master track for the next tune we're gonna record.
later....

Joe! I hope your tour went well with you and I look forward to seeing the webcast. Question: what is it that makes you decide on the final set list and order for each gig?
Sharon: what is the dollar bill question? ...
Come on guys, not the yngwie debate again.
gotta go again... later BEN

Oh well, anyone notice Joe starts off with "Wow!!" on both of his posts? Now that Joe is relaxing at home, he can post more often and read all of our posts!

Hey Joe, Welome home man. Glad to hear you had such a great time in europe. I hope all of you are just as pumped up as I am for the next part of your tour. I have never been disappointed at one of your shows, you are a class act and I thank you for being who you are,A SHRED MONSTER! I 'll bet when you were in high school all the kids would see you and say, hey man there's that guy that plays the guitar I wish I could play like that. most of us are still saying that, except for maybe little Stevie Vai( SHRED MONSTER).
jblaze1: How in tarnation did ya get yer ear impacted. Putting yer ear to the speaker with the stereo turned up full blast is not the best way to listen to Mind Storm ya know. You have to put a speaker to each side of your head so's the presure equals out, dat way ya don't gets these problems....lol. Man that has got to suck. Last time I saw Joe was on the EOC tour and I had one of the worst headaches of my life. I have sinus trouble and it just so happened that I came down with a sinus infection a couple of days before the show, so I went to the doctor to see what he could give me, he said, son!, son!, you've gone too far...and he gave me some Vicodin which only made matters worse because they dried my sinus's out. Imagine being on three 7.5 vikies and still having the worst headache ever and to top it all off the A.C. vent was blasting right on my head where we were sitting. Then the headache moved to my ears. Between the headache/earache and being druged out on Vicodin I was in some kinda bad shape but in true pit bull style I stuck it for the whole show then I went back to the hotel room and died. I hope your feeling better come show time, I don't know how serious an impacted ear is but it doesn't sound good at all. About the e-mail, I'll have to check it out but, I think I must have given you another bogus e-mail address. The right addy should be hmaclean@fdn.com.
Yeap, I screwed it up agian. Sorry about that jblaze. hmaclean@fdn.com is the correct addy.

Damn Straight - The question is why is the 1990 Dollar Bill more valuable than the 1989 Dollar Bill?
JS Clone 2 Nocturne is one of my favourite's.

Clarky - Well said on Minge-wie Malmsteen. The guys a total twat, but it sure would be cool to be able to play like him... By the way, what the hell is wrong with IUMA these days?
JSC2 - Sorry to hear about your Grandma, man. I've been in that situation too so I know what you're going through. I think it makes it a little easier if the person has been ill for a long period of time - my Grandma had Parkinson's disease before she passed. Still a tremendous blow, though...

All right, BLUE is in the house..... Gee, I never thought I'd live to see one of my biggest idols actually TALKING to his fans......LOL This site rocks! Most of the artists today don't seem to have such close contact with their audience, but Joe sure is different... I like it!
Joe, you're welcome at my house anytime.... LOL
Take it easy and relax before the next part of the tour- but I'm quite upset you didn't choose to come to Sweden this time around... have you ever been there by the way? You've got quite a few fans over here too, you know.
Well, take care now, bye bye. :)
