There are all these cool things I wanna throw onto my strat. Pickups, new circuitry, pickguard, tuners, Floyd Rose... (the list goes on!) The cost of all those plus $200 actually equals a brand new Ibanez RG550EX 0r 570EX. I love the pickguard on the 550, but I also love the neck inlays on the 570. Geeez. Maybe if I pull a miracle, I can buy both & stick the 570 neck on the 550 body! Ha! (Reality check...)

Shell, it wasn't too bad where I was until the end when Joe was throwing his picks and Jeff threw his sticks, some people from the back pushed forward which made it a bit squashed.

Re that jacket Joe was wearing at the beginning, did anyone with backstage passes photograph Joe in it at all, around the dog shows we usually see this fella that does some wonderful designs and puts them on leather and denim jackets, he has a book full of pictures that he will transfer onto your clothing, there were some very good Led Zep piccies, if I could give him some Satch stuff ,as long as Joe didn't mind, I'm sure he would add these to his collection and maybe we could have some of that jacket too. You don't have to go to dog shows to see him, he does have a website. I'll get some more info when we next see him.

Re Shepherd's Bush, if the Council gave Joe orders to be out by a certain time then he would have to adhere to that, some of these Councils are tough on some of their noise rules. I work for our local Council so I know what sticklers they are on some things. More's the pity.

Bye for now, Sharon

sharon - I don't know about any UK channels (I live in California), but Joe gets zero television coverage here in the USA today. He has been on MTV a few times in the early 1990s, though. He'll get the occasional commercial promoting a concert, but that's all.

ged - I imagine that the guitar is tuned like this: 1st and 2nd strings - both are high E strings tuned to a high E; 3rd and 4th strings - both are D strings tuned one whole step sharp to an E; 5th and 6th strings - both are low E strings tuned to low E...

Prog X - I listed the set list for the Amsterdam webcast in an old post of mine. Click on my "total posts" button and look back to the day of the show and you should see the list.

Was at the Birmingham show on 19th July...wow! Shame the venue was awful. Was my 11th Satch show in 12 years (1st one in 1990 was at the same venue but it was called the Hummingbird then!). Joe was the best I've ever seen him, apart from the fact it was difficult to see Joe no matter where you stood! must get practicing on my new left-handed Brian May Burns guitar..!

Joe,

Great new album. We attended the gig on Friday at the Academy in Birmingham, whilst we enjoyed the music we did notice a difference in the sound quality it was not up to the standard we had previously enjoyed at the NIA and NEC in Birmingham. We know it was the venue and not the music as we've seen you several times. Part of the enjoyment of seeing you live is to acutally to see you play and we could'nt see you. Any chance you can play at the NIA next time?

Lastly where was Stuart Hamm and will he tour with you next time?

Hope this does'nt sound like too much of a moan as we really enjoy your music.

Sharon,

Are you referring to the denim jacket Joe was wearing? Then, Yes I got half a dozen (front and one back) taken on my disposable camera, at the stage door in SBE when he signed my Chromeboy and Crystal Planet (JS2K) guitars. What did you want to know ;)

Vetteguy Most mini amps are quite useless even on a trip. Though some of them have a kind of,.. uhm.. cute sound. But I wouldnt bother to buy one. I would rather go acousitc for some time

Hey, I have a question for you satch. I live in Atlanta and saw the G3 concert, which was amazing, but this year when you are coming to Atlanta again why do we have to be over 21 to see you and Dream Theater? I'm 17 and saw G3 at the tabernacle and didn't have a single problem with the alcohol or anything. I have friends that have been to concerts where you would have to be over 21 to see but yet they are my age. There are a lot of fans that would love to see you who are under the age of 21, me for example. If you can answer this I would appreciate it.

Got my new amp (replacement) today- they've moved some things around! they've moved one back panel down a few inches and they've switched over the velcro holder bit for the footpedal! Outrageous!

Anyway, electrics sound sooooooo much better when they're plugged into an amp ;) Particularly a sweet Fender Twin like mine :)

Hope the European tour went well, didn't get the chance to see anything due to pressing engagements (rainy outdoor gig with my band!). Pity you guys couldn't make it up to Scotland this time round, hope it wasn't to do with the melee at the last Glasgow gig (I can't believe someone pinched your shades!). We aren't all that bad you know! Take it easy and hope the states tour is fun for all. Cheers

MMindSsstorm... no need fr that really. as far as the harmoniser goes I just let that go- Joe just isn't the guy to use a harmoniser like that (just the up an octave thing for Cool #9 and Raspberry Jam). But Mr Nick was only trying to express disapointment over not hearing those songs live- Mr Nick, I think all of us have songs that we'd love Joe to play but he doesn't (EOC and Lights of Heaven).
