Hey everyone !!!
Well, another year has passed (very quickly I might add), and I have attained the ripe old age of 33 !!! It seems like every year around my B-day, I think back on what I have accomplished so far (I'm sure everyone does, right?) Unfortunately, I took the wrong path early on.....I was having too much fun partying to even consider going to college, that is something I will regret for a long time. But I look at it this way, I still have plenty of time to do that, and someday I will :)
On a more positive note, I have two of the greatest children in the world who look up to me and love me very much. I could'nt possibly live without them, and I work my tail off 40 hours a week to make sure they are'nt hungry. No complaints here !
Also, despite the abuse I have inflicted on myself and my brain...lol...in the years before my children were born, I can still tear up an electric guitar :) Interestingly enough, I have been deaf in my right ear for as long as I can remember, and despite that, I have an excellent ear for music. I can tune my guitar better than any store bought tuner on the planet!
I'd like to add very briefly that one should never make fun of a person who has a hearing problem (or any other kind of problem)....my older brother and sister used to tease me all the time and it had a damaging effect on my self-esteem very early in my life. It has taken me years to get that back.....so be kind to the less fortunate :)
OK, enough blubbering, I'm going to go out tonight and have a few beers with my friends to celebrate the 33rd year.......be good everybody......you are all my friends :) You too Joe :) Oh and yes, NonSmoker is still nonsmoking

Hey guys...long time no post, I know, and I'm gone for a week starting Sunday (high school student into music = band camp). Joe - glad to hear the European tour went well and I'm glad you seem so stoked for the American leg as well. I'll be sure to tell all of you guys if any "American Pie" type incidents happen at band camp. Just as a side note, that movie has been the worst thing to happen to high school band students ever...whenever you talk about band camp to a kid who's not in band, they always just say "one time, at band camp..." Oh well, such is life. Catch you guys in a week.

Yep... I'd say most of the things I was going to say were covered by others, so I'll just say this:
Aussies: by my calculations the chat thingy will be at 8am Tuesday morning, but I may be wrong...
and this:
Webmaster (or anyone that already knows): Will the webcast be downloadable or will it be strictly streaming from the server? What format will it be? If it's a quicktime movie, that's okay, but if it's real video or something stupid like that...
STILL WAITING FOR SBM...BEN

(more old stuff)
I have about 265 posts to go...I'm getting through it all...LOL.
First, is anyone going to the Dio / Deep Purple / Scorpions show in LA this Sunday? I'll be there, wearing my black/white G3 2001 shirt. You can see what I look like by either watching the LISF DVD or looking at my picture on the 7/1/01 gig page. If you see me at the show, don't be afraid to say hi.
Bar Hook - The JS seven-string isn't commercially available.
Karma burger - Yeah, Joe usually signs autographs after his shows.
lilshreddah3 - Check out www.ticketmaster.com for 8/11 tickets.
The Local Person - You said you were going on holiday and that your "postrate" would decrease dramatically. When I first read that, I thought you said "prostate"...LOL.
elmole - If you want to play faster, use a metronome. Start slow and gradually work your way up to higher speeds.
ShySaxGirl - SBM is your first guitar instrumental album? Cool. What made you buy it?
eebysubb - There isn't a G3 2001 album available anywhere...not offically. And to answer your other post, in the past Stu and Eric have played some of Joe's other guitar parts. He has a guy touring with him this time around too...
Ya Yo Gakk - Yeah, Joe is doing Always... on this tour.
Kda - Give Vai another shot... Do you have Passion & Warfare?
Master Yoda - Did you find the secret in The Secret Jewel Box? Unscrew the bottom panel.
sweetnsour - I would try looking at www.tickets.com. If you can't find the sale info there, I'd go to the venue's website and look around for info. If it's a smaller place, you might have to go to the box office to buy tickets.
gruskada - That's a cool story about your wife's grandparents.
sharon - Oh well, at least you had a few Satch victories at the dog shows. Maybe it's time to start using another one of Joe's albums.
navlag - Welcome to the site. :-) What is your favorite Satriani song and album? How many times have you seen him live?
peter mulas - I don't know if it will help you at all, but a few weeks ago I posted something here that I found on a Joe Satriani newsgroup. It was from an Aussie fan that found SBM somewhere. Look through my post history on the site here and maybe the info will help you.
...Austin...
