Well talk about a great birthday present!!!!!! My girlfriend has given me tickets to see YOU in Concord on Sunday!!!!!!!! I AM TOTALLY STOKED JOE!!!!!! She knows just how big a fan I am of yours and she now is a Satch fan too!! Didn't take much brainwashing to get that one to happen!! *LOL* I've been very fortunate to be able to go to 8 shows so far!! I saw the first G3 at Concord Pavillion (before it was called G3!!) with some kid named Kenny Wayne(*L*), Eric Johnson, Steve Via and the great one......exceptional show!! I've caught you at various venue's around the West Coast but the best had to be at The Fillmore for the Live in San Francisco show......I was so lucky to be at the second show (which pretty much made up 100% of the DVD) and am on the DVD no less!! I just want to say Joe, you've have touched my life.......what you do with a guitar defies description.....simply put stunningly beautiful.......touching......from the heart and soul......I'm heading out at lunch to pick up Strange Beautiful Music so I can be ready for Sunday!!!! Btw, this is Kim's (my g/f's) first Joe show so be gentle with her ok?? *LMAO* Joe, thanks......from the first time I heard Surfing in the mid 80's I've been a fan........that was the first tape I actually wore out from playing!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up Joe!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear the new stuff.......Eric, you kick bro!!! Thanks for the guitar picks at the Fillmore show!!!!!!!!! Your one hell of a shot with those.......hit me in my open hand twice.........I gave the 13 year old kid behind me with his Mom one of them......the kid almost welled up with tears....TOO COOL!!!!!!! That's what it is all about.........giving someone something they never have!!!!!! Later guys........see you at Concord Pavillion Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!
all the best to you and yours guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quantam - Weird, mine has an Edge. The specs on my S540 LTD are different than the ones i'm reading about. The tremsetter is this little device mounted in the rear route (the spring cavity). It fits under the middle springs and has to springs itself around 2 small shafts that press against the trem block to give it tension. It gives it sort of a dead spot where it's harder to move. It prevents strings detuning when you bend one and let one ring or even if you break a string. Still stays in tune. Tuning is more stable and the tone and sustain is slightly improved as it's not completely free floating. I'm just unsure as to how to properly mount it. Under the springs, there is an extra route that is not on Jems or JS's. If you look under the springs of a Jem orJS, you'll notice the floor under the springs is flat. This has another small tier where 3 holes are drilled for screws to mount the tremsetter. I'm not sure if it's mounted on an angle or not. All I remember was that when I disassembled the guitar when I got home, I was so thrilled that I found a tremsetter, I took it out and leared how it worked and didn't bother to remember how it originally was... so dang.

Minus Human - Joe said himself, a good teacher doesn't try to influence the student but shows the student what he/she is capable of and showing them the best path to take to grow as a musician. Something along the lines of that.....
Joe - Any chance of MEMORIES or HORDES OF LOCUSTS to be played at the August 31st show in Toronto?

death cube k - I'll check it out when I get home tonight. I remember seeing a report on CNN the day he died and I literally blocked it out of my mind for weeks. I had a real hard time with it...... It wasn't until all the magazines were writing of it, that I finally came to grips. I was crushed to say the least..... He touched many.....
Life is beautiful, enjoy it as much as possible for it also short.
Again, I'm happy to be attending another Satch show. ;-)

JSC1: Important!! Put the zero return spring assembly back in the custom routed section of the trem. The other two go at an angle, out from the "Claw" wide to the trem. I hope that helps. Congrats on your choice of a "S" body. Frank Gambale says they are the most comfortable! Try not to change the trems so fast (Only a suggestion) ! Sometimes that's what makes them special, because the guitars they are in have different capabilities. Joe: Have fun with the guitar giveaway! Break a leg ! KTF Paul: Awsome chops on your music! You make me want to try harder.

A Question regarding the newest album..STRANGE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC....do you believe that this collection of songs is your most solid and best sounding of all?? I like all of your albums, but it seems to me that the latest album is laid out on a solid foundation..and the songs seem to more thought out. Also there seems to be less extravagance in the solos..is this a result of the overall post 9/11 social environment as well??
P.S. My B-Day is also July 15th...CANCERS ROCK!!!

Hey Joe, WELCOME BACK TO THE U.S.A. I was in Boise Idaho visiting my parents. Just a quick note. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer stage four. with no cure or hope in sight. when a month into the chemotherapy, Walla, the crap is completely gone. not in remission but miraculously gone. pushing my faith into overdrive. I believe deep inside that god touched by dad and cured him of this illness. So with this I also believe that you will be coming to PORTLAND OR. Soon and we can enjoy your gift also. thanks for the excellent new CD. Freddy

HiGain, yeah the JS-10th is $2850.00 American.....wow, I can't believe the value of a US dollar in Australia (did I spell that right?) If I ever get rich I'm moving down there...lol
Michelle, thank you for your concern :) Fortunately, I did'nt have to drive that night. And I might add that the night ended very quickly for me. I don't drink much any more, and I found out that 3 shots of tequila is definately my limit....lol. Of course the 14 bud lights I had helped it along. All that fun and no hangover the next day, how lucky can you get :) Thanks again........Dave
