JS Clone: Yep, it ain't hard to work out the StarCraft bit...

I didn't mean that the 80s is bad, I meant being stuck-in-the-80s is bad. After 12 years, someone's style should have evolved past that decade. I didn't say he hasn't, I was saying I hope that he has.

Commonwealth Games: READ THE WINNING LUNCHORDERS!!! AUSSIES ON TOP!!!

I reckon Joe should have played in Manchester and instead of gold medals they should have given out SBM CDs so that Thorpie could send a couple mine and Pete Mulas ways. Comments?

Later, BEN

XROB, musta been the whole Tom Cruise thing that threw me off, although the flying through the canyon scene was very cool. Best part? To many to pick one. Moley, moley, moley - mini Austin, Scott's hair (ROTF), Fook Mi ~ oh, no, no, no ~ Fook Yu. Too funny!! This is a must have in my dvd collection when it's released.

Sharon, my boss loved the joke. He says that the main boss in our building is "The Mother of all Assholes!" LOL!! I told my boss that I call him alot of things, but asshole isn't on the list. I have much more vulgar names for him that that. LOL!!!!

PhrygianDominant,I'm sure it's been a little over a week since I quit. But then again I'm not sure...lol. I have'nt been myself since. Man the punishment your body puts you through when you deprive it of nicotine.....sudden sweating, dizziness, lack of concentration. It's not continuous, but it comes in waves...pretty wild! Plus as I mentioned before, my taste buds are coming back to life, I enjoy eating even more now :) I think one of these days you will decide you've had enough, just like I did. And that helps you stay away from them.......Peace, Dave

Mr. Satriani...if you are to actually read this message, I would be so honored and thrilled! My name is Shari and I live in New Mexico. So far I have seen you live, and in the front row two times here in our lovely state. Once at the Sunshine Theatre where I barely missed one of your guitar picks (still kicking myself over that one) and the other was at the Paolo Saleri in Santa Fe for the 4th of July. Both shows were SOOOOOOOOOOO unbelievable! You are a piece of work! I didn't want the show to end! We are going to see you again here in August 14th in Albuquerque. Your music is so magical and soothing. And excuse me for being forward, but at the rate in which you can move your hands...ooooh boy what an imagination I have! I cannot wait to see you in concert again. Oh, and one other thing before I go, your drummer and my friend were hittin' it off at the concert for the 4th, she was the one with the BIG GREEN pot leaf necklace on...we should chill after the concert...come on, make a girls wish come true!

Sincerely Mezmorized, Shari V.

Back on to the subject of picks. I used Jim Dunlop Tortex picks for 12 years or more. Tri-picks, that way they could roll around in my hand and I could still get to a sharp edge to do harmonics. 1.0 mm were my constant companions, as well as the .77mm. I use the Abalone picks now. They have little alien faces. They look for harmonics for me while I play. Some have eyes on each side, some with both eyes on 1 side. Can't stand "super bullets", the strings. My playing style is to agrressive for that. D'Addario xl110's!!! They are the best!!! I've tried all the "coated" strings made, and they are usless for me. My sweat just eats them up. Joe: I signed up for the give-a-way contest! Satch fans sign up. KTF

Yoda - I got your mail with the chord progression. I'll be able to take a look at it in a few weeks time ['cos learning this Crossy set is proving difficult on my lil' brain]. Once I've got the set 'gig ready' I'll sort your stuff out. Right now I can only record onto mini disk..... Is this a problem?

Michelle - glad you liked the Boss joke, it always makes me laugh. Haven't seen the New Austin Powers movie, I shall be though. Yeah baby, why can't life be like that.

Anibur - hope you had a good holiday 900 mails to read, just shows you can't have a day off here. About that big bloke, you know what they say, the bigger the are the bigger they fall, especially if you remember where to poke um.

Naty - Having a good holiday?

If Joe were to re-create the world I wonder what his ten commandments would be.

Although my Andy Pandy has only been learning the guitar a few weeks, he seems to be doing ok, the tone deaf stuff isn't affecting him at all, he is managing to get the chords except F I think, this seems to be a difficult one, his fingers aren't very thin which is making it hard. Joe's fingers seem to be a bit more slender and long too. My son bought him a pedal and an electric tuner thingy for his birthday and the scenario that struck me is "Boys With Toys" ladies - you know what I mean. Anyway he is having fun and he is out of my hair, thank you Joe.

LOL Sharon.

Roger that JS Clone 1!!!......I have "AIAUW" and it is a JEM (no pun intended!!) So much of Steve's magic is on those disc's, and I'm also proud to own it :-)....Thank's for that link again dude, I'm off to check it out here in a few!!!!

Sharon: LMAO on the joke!!! It's soo true, lol!!!!!!!! We gotta' earn it...kinda' like merit badges :-0........The Boss joke was brilliant also BTW :-)

I was just thinking about what a great priviledge it is to be alive in this moment..Really.....Think about it....JOE and STEVE and all the other incredible guitar music making, life changing people out there!!!!!! It don't get no better than this!! :-)....On a serious side note (this may be a stupid question, but I've never been afraid to ask one..so..), why does STEVE's EVO have tape over the neck p/u's lower edge, and why does it say KONX???? Look's like the humbucker's are fallin' out, lol!!

Peace all, /\/\ike

I saw the funniest pick in the world today at the guitar shop. I think it is by Pickboy. It's a furry thin pick! Yup!! Fur on both sides. Well, it's actually felt. I guess its purpose is to eliminate pick-to-string sound.

I also tried out quite a few guitars today. Ahhhh... just like having multiple org*sms for a guy.......!? Then amps... ah.... lastly effects pedals.... ohhhh.... Then a dose of Joe's music.... EEEEEEeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

Dear Master Joe,

Please allow me to invite you to play in our Country...Perhaps it will be my only chance to see you perform in concert!!

Not unless of course i get lucky enough to win a contest where the grand prize winner gets to see you in a concert with a back stage access!!!!

Nah...that would be my ultimate dream in this lifetime...

Your in-direct student,

Gandharva

...I was hanging out with Dio, The Scorpions and Deep Purple last night in Reno, what a rockin' show! Each band was in amazing form...At the end of the night the Purple guys invited me onstage for a few songs...We jammed on Hush, Highway Star and Smoke on the Water...I had to play one of Steve Morse's guitars, they feel great and are very cool sounding. We each had a 5150 to blast through...What a rush!... Had a great time connecting with old friends, and a fantastic Reno audience...Wait a minute, I'm supposed to be on vacation!...check out the photos on the Road page...Joe....
