Hey Satch folks, new member/old fan. Looking for to the show in Jacksonville, FL. Have seen Joe four times and every time is awesome, but I've never seen Dream Theatre. Should be an evening to remember. Hello to all, looking forward to being a member of the family.

Phsyco Monkey:Not really.....The first 20 seconds of the begining is added in reverse at the end of New Blues.Only on the CD...It's really trippy. It's a digital foul up Sort of like the old tapes where you can hear faintly the next song before it really starts..Classic example:Led Zep's "Black Dog"...Robert Plant's vocal track....CrossTalk I think they call it...:~}HI JOE jblaze1

Nonsmoker --- Jimi Hendrix was also the reason I started playing (electric) guitar. I have to say that he was a pioneer of many things and was the best at what he did. As Joe himself said " Jimi brought the whole world of music onto his guitar."

As for the guy who said he has more talent than Kurt Cobain, while I am by no means a Nirvana fan, i think that Kurt Cobain supposedly has some talent ( i cannot judge) but maybe it is more than reasonable to say that he isn't that great/influential a guitarist. Any opinions, anyone?

Also, I'd just like to ask everyone what record is in their CD player at the moment? aside from SBM of course!! mine is the Chemical Brothers' Come with us :)

I'm getting excited for the show in Boston! The odds are against me to win the aftershow pass, so I expect I'll just be waiting outside again to say hello like I have the past two shows in Philly! See you in september...

Stefan1 - It's Raspberry Jam Delta-V...the letter V. The title came from a sci fi book.

ovation1 - I think that's the second time that Joe broke up a three-peat. See, we all think that he doesn't pay attention to the page here, but he's waiting just to mess with our heads like that. ;-)

Ibztone - I've looked at that page in the past, and everything is very out of date. Is there new info about Stu there?

sharon - Stu didn't leave to work with Guns N Roses...Eric did. I don't think he's a permanent band member by any means, but he probably did some keyboard work on the new album. His name is in the liner notes for their Live Era: 87-93 2 CD set...probably for the same thing.

kda- I was actually talking about Jimmy Page being overrated not Jimmy Hendrix.....I was refering to that poll the guy posted, SRV should be in the top 5 on anybodys list, page wouldn't even make my top 20. even years ago when i was a huge Zepplin fan I never though he was a great player, hes good but not great.....

Jesus man, I was just almost in a nasty accident! I was driving down the street behind a jeep, and the jeep put on his signal to make a right turn. I seen a car at the stop sign (I had no stop) waiting to pull out onto the street we were already on. The jeep starts turning onto the side street (I continue going forward) and this asswipe blows out from the stop sign and damn near plows into the side of my car. Thanks to my mean & nasty driving skills (and watching Nascar every Sunday) I swerved across two lanes (the 2nd lane was oncoming traffic) and the guy missed me by inches. If I would have hit the brakes, which is what I would have HAD to do if there wasn't a gap between cars in the oncoming traffic, I would have had his bumper in my lap! Man, he would have plowed me right into oncoming traffic - and it's a MAJOR truck route. An 18 wheeler vs. a tiny old Honda Civic... I was shaking so bad afterwards. Nedless to say, I was thanking God all the way home.

That's my story for today. Now where's my whiskey!! lol!

Hi Joe, I asked this question the other day during the live chat but it did'nt get to you :)

When you accept a student for lessons, how much knowledge are they expected to have before they even walk through the door?

I can't imagine you and a student going through "When the saints go marching in" out of a Mel Bay beginners book :)

Michelle, I'm glad you're ok....

How do you win the aftershow passes? Is there a contest or something or is it a name from the hat type deal?

michelle - I'm glad to hear that you're ok. It's good that you keep your eyes open on the road...why can't everyone do that? ;-)

KhakiCoalition - The aftershow pass thing is a "pick the winners out of a hat" deal. List yourself as attending your show on the road page and you might win. Three people are randomly chosen from the list.

Hey SHARON AND CLARKY: Come on friends, I was hoping you would get it without having to explain it.

On Sharon's last post before mine, she writes about her friend changing the subject and talking about "other" stuff. So, what I meant was for her to change into THAT subject! That's the reason for the :) after my post. It had nothing to do with whatever else u guys might have been posting before.

Heck, I haven't been around here enough lately to even know what u were talking about! And by the way, Sharon, I do like your posts and I will keep reading them. Honest.

So, no bad feelings from my part, sorry if I caused any to you guys.

One week left!!! Later.

Satch, i have a couple of questions to ask: 1. How did you get into the music industry? why? 2. and have you worked with an english guitarist called Jimi Savage before? (Jimi has taught me for almost three years) 3. Can you tell me how to succeed in the music?

my main guitar heroes are : Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Satch, Santana, and last but not least my mentor Jimi Savage.

Joe,

Just wanted to say THANKS for signing the posters that Gina or Mick brought to you a few months ago when they made the delivery from Horizon Foods. That Fillmore show, by the way, KICKED ASS!!!. It's too bad I wasn't at the show where you made the DVD, that would've been very cool. The DVD is magnificent!! I hope Gina has told you that you are my GOD....at least she told me she has. I can't get Strange Beautiful Music out of my CD player.....it's an awesome set. Chords of Life and Seven String are incredible. I can't wait to hear them on Sunday in Concord!! What's the chance of finally getting to meet you!!?? Maybe a backstage pass or something?? I've been going to you shows for the last 10+ years and am dying to say hey in person. YOU ARE THE MAN!! THANKS FOR ALL THE INCREDIBLE MUSIC, IT REALLY HAS MADE AN IMPACT ON MY LIFE!!!

Scott

Michelle Glad to hear you didn't get hurt. I HATE CARS!

anyone Could someone out there (Austin?) tell a poor Swedish girl what 'breaking up a three-peat' means?! My English is pretty good but some expressions are still a mystery..... LOL

And what's in my CD-player right now? SBM of course, and various home-burned records I've made, mostly consisting of artists like Satriani, Vai, Pink Floyd, Zappa, AC/DC, Eric Johnson, Ozzy....... and so on.

[b]JSClone1[b] - Yes that's all me. All of my music is just me on guitars, vocals, and some keyboards, other than that I use a drum machine and run a guitar through a whammy pedal for the bass tracks. That song in particular I used my roommate's P.O.S guitar for the bass track and it actually came out sounding good. The rest of my tracks are waiting to be approved, I think it's taking too long if you ask me. And by the way, the rest of my tracks aren't like Restless, they're a little more hard rawk.

Thanks for checking it out
