Nice to see all your u.s. fans are hanging out for the tour.
Nice to hear that Jeff is playing well too. He is the backbone and quite a talented musician in his own right.
Have you thought of doing work with Iain paice at all??

Jamz27 ~ that really blows! Is there anyone older you can go with? Maybe if your with someone older they'll let you in. Hell, get somebody in line to say they're your uncle or something. I don't know how that particular venue is run, but they might not be to strict? Then again...call the place & see what the rules are. Is it absolutely no one under 21 no matter what the circumstance?
Dave, they have alot of beautiful Celtic designs if your looking for something like that. Leave your options open and you'll be amazed with all the cool stuff you can find. Tell the guy what you have in mind. Say something like "I want something Irish!" LOL! My last tat was a gold Celtic braid with a big green jewel in it (I'm Irish too). If your getting it on your arm, it's no sweat. Chest, back, leg...that'll put a hurtin' on ya. If you don't find anything you want to spend the rest of your life with, go home. Buy some mags & see if you can get an idea for something you like out of one of them. Good luck :)
Joe, I'll echo Evbro's question ....are you going to play Belly Dancer? Please & thank you!

Ya'll-
I feel silly, as though I SHOULD be able to figure this out...here's my predicament.
I had a rare break at work today and logged on briefly-at which time the little photo in the upper left hand corner showed a picture from July 22nd of last year! No sooner than I clicked on there and started gazing around did my next appt walk in...I haven't been able to find it since! Any suggestions? I was in attendance at that show and I sure would like to find it!

MINUS HUMAN...
Switching from 4 to a 5, eh? A few things to keep in mind when you're doing this...
1. You're not the only one to have trouble converting... this means that there will be five-strings of all feels to allow for anyone to use a five...
2. It has to feel right! I don't mean like.. "Hmmm... I could get used to this," I mean like, "Holy cow! I love this!" (There's one out there somewhere... don't worry)
For basses, I recommend a Schecter Stiletto Studio or Elite, although they're lower down on the bass chain, they're the most comfortable basses I've ever used... They made my transition from 4 to 5 practically unnoticable... I'm getting a six in a few months from them, too...

Desiree - Hi. Go to the road section and scroll all the way to the bottom. You'll find links there to all of the old tour pages. Go to the one for the year that you're looking for and then scroll down to find your date. Click the "p" and you should see the pictures. Make sense? If not, let me know and I'll try to reexplain myself.

Michelle: I dont know if I can have someone 21 or older get me in. I dont know. The problem is, the only phone number to the Tabernacle(the venue Joe is playing at) is a recording. The plot thickens though. There are ganster rap groups, and black metal groups such as In Flames and Slayer playing at the Tabernacle as well as many other groups, BUT THE ONLY SHOW THAT IS 21 AND OLDER IS JOE'S. That is one of the biggest piles of bullshit I have ever heard! I dont know what I can do. If there is anyone attending the show in Atlanta that is 21 or older and that can get me in, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! deanholley@adelphia.net

Quantum - Yes, synesthesia. Thanks for the new word in my vocabulary. Kandinsky was a pioneer in his time. His work influenced the abstract expressionists ( DeKooning, Pollack, Kline, Gorky) who came about in NYC in the 40's/ 50's. This is when Soho was a no mans land, these artists helped make Soho. Think about what was happening musically.
Naty, cool site. Yeah, joe is full of colour, he's "Saturated". Some of his music gives me incredible visuals, and emotions.
Rock San Diego, Rock!

Jamz27, I know for a fact that Joe & the band don't like playing 21 and over shows. Here are Joe's words from a conversation we had on T2J. I think it was March '00 or 01 - "....yeah. "all ages" venues are the way to go...the band likes it better that way too!...once again i will stress it to our agent and promoters..." This must be out of his hands. I'm sure he hates it as much as the rest of us, but what's done is done. That doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be able to get in.
JOE, CAN YOU HELP THE KID OUT?? HE ALREADY BOUGHT THE TICKETS!
As much as this isn't right, it really goes to show that the under 21 folks really need to check the fine print before they buy tickets. ASK before you buy. Man, $80 bucks is alot of money to throw down the tubes. If all else fails, maybe you can sell them (although thats illegal I think), but $80 bucks is $80 bucks!

Michelle: Well, I guess I could have asked before I bought, but who would of thought Joe's show would be 21 and over. ALSO, I think if its a 21 and over show, Ticketmaster should let you know BEFORE you buy the tickets. You HAVE to be 21 to buy alcohol here, so I dont see why they would not have said at least something about it.
P.Dominant: The thing about this venue is that the bar is on another floor alltogether than the stage, and they DO card people at the bar. So yet again, it still makes no sense.

StuBoo - From the Yakima Avenue exit off I-82, taking 97 South to Weed (uh.. he said weed) then I5 down to Sacramento and now parked in my friends driveway, my trip-tac shows 698 miles. Some of those towns in Oregon have speed limits of like 30 to 20 with an average speed limit of about 60 - 65. And, yes - I did do the speed limit. I didn't want anything stopping me from seeing this show... as much as I would have loved to floor it! You must have been haulin' some serious a** because I took only 1, 10 minute break at rest stop outside of Klamath Falls - and spent a few moments with my lady gazing at those amazing stars in the middle of frickin' nowhere! Such beauty! There were as many falling stars as there were little 'bambi's poppin' out of the woods! Plus, I had never taken 97 all the way thru Oregon State before. It was spooky! But I have made it from Seattle to San Diego in 24 hours... :) via I5 South.
Can't wait for the show! Probably leaving around 6 or 7 AM to LA.

Quantum: I didn’t know that synesthesia was the right word! Thanks! If this thing struck you it means you don’t get images in your mind while you listen to music?
LooWho: I’m glad to see there’s another…synesthetic Joe’s fan!
PhryDom (Dave): sssshhhh! Don’t tell anyone that is my real name, I’m working incognito for Secret Service! ;-D You want names? Send me those ideas and I’ll give you names! (As secret agent, my speciality is giving names! ;o))

ethn - You can go to www.ticketmaster.com and pretend to buy tickets. Ask for a pair and see what it spits out at you... Everything closer than that has been sold. So you can use that as a way to see what percentage of the tickets have been sold out. I've been checking with Ticketmaster every few days and it looks like this show is 90%-95% sold out. It may very well completely sell out by the time the show starts.
Jaymz27 - Well, there is all of that drinking and swearing and violence at Joe's shows...maybe that's why it's 21 and over. Sorry. ;-) Seriously now, Joe doesn't like the 21+ only gigs. He does everything he can to keep things all ages. If it's a 21+ show, it's most likely the promoter (the evil Clear Channel [http://www.clearchannelsucks.org/]) that is behind the age restriction. They probably have something in Joe's contract where they get a percentage of the alcohol sales. If it's an all ages show, the bar would be closed, and they wouldn't make their money.
PhrygianDominant - Yeah, I still want to change my username. I can't think of anything good though. I REALLY like Strange Beautiful Stoooer, but that name is too long for the site. So I guess I gave up. I'll think of something cool eventually, and then I'll make the switch.
guitaurus - I'm just making sure that we understand each other... I'm talking about the drive from Sacramento to LA, not the drive from Yakima to Sacramento. I've never been up to Washington state. Sorry if I confused you before. I was just saying that I live about 30-45 minutes north of Sacramento, and I usually average 7 hours for the drive down to LA... So it would probably take you closer to 6 hours because you're in Sacramento already. Make sense? Sorry if I'm confusing you... Enjoy the show! :-)

Man what's goin on, the new set looks as though it has been shortened by almost 10 songs from the euro tour. If that's the case I'm very disappointed. A tour in support of a new album should not be shared with so many artists, too watered down. 15 songs for $45? I didn't think I was buying tickets to a G3 concert. I was looking forward to hearing "WHY" live, as well as more of the new stuff. Cut from the play list look to be Oriental melody, Belly Dancer, New last jam, Extremist, Why, Ice 9, Friends, Satch Boogie and Surfing w/ the alien!? That ain't even right. I don't care to hear Kings-X's anti-christ crap anyway. I see that Dream Theatre closes the show for the second half of the North American tour. This is not good, not good at all.

Naty --- hmmm... i don't always get a mental image when i hear music. But synesthesia refers to more of a syndrome i believe. Some people, in fact, suffer from it and it gets in their way of doing things sometimes. Like a certain smell may always invoke the colour blue?
2 TON TESS --- i always thought king's X used to be a christian band but recently decided to use christianity as a theme? are they anti-christ??

2 TON TESSIE - The shorter set shouldn't be a surprise. It was known since before tickets went on sale that Joe would be playing a shorter set. There are people on this site that decided to not see Joe this time around...they're waiting for the Evening With... tour later this fall. Even though Dream Theater is closing the show you're planning on seeing, they will still get the same amount of time that Joe gets. Don't worry. If you don't care to hear King's X, plan on arriving late. I don't know what else to say. This tour isn't a surprise to me. I knew we would get a short set. I knew that I would miss some of my favorite songs. On another note, King's X are not anti-Christian. They are Christians in a band but they are not a Christian band, if that makes sense. They're just like Creed and Collective Soul and quite a few other bands that are out there. Check out this old article for more info.
WhiteRabbit - Welcome to the site. How did you discover Joe? Do you have a favorite song or album yet?
