I went to reno a while ago. it's really nice. i just missed joe by about four years.

if there are so many posts by just 1247, then imagine millions.

my sister and i have a joke about comparing celine dion to joe. she thinks the canadian is so much more talented then joe because he can't sing. but he can. and we go back and forth. it's actually pretty funny.

oh crap. it's august. i have only 25 more days to enjoy summer.

Hi everyone... Just a quick note to say that I'm back from my road trip. I'm here in St. Louis for another two or three days, and then I'll be back in California. Well, now it's time to read the hundreds of messages from the past week. ;-)

(answering old stuff)

DanIbanez - Go to www.amazon.com, and you can find some of Joe's tab books.

jnymac - "Closing the show" means that he is the last perfromer to play at the show. So in this case, King's X and Dream Theater play first, and then Joe plays.

minus human --- I believe that on the Jemsite forum, there was a discussion about Ed Roman and his allegations about the JS model guitar. In the end, someone showed that this Roman guy is just full of sh*t. He's just trying to get people to buy his replacement JS body guitars instead....

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only guy that wants to punch his lights out.

My friend got a JS 100 Tranp. red & JS 1000 White and he does not complain.

MMMindSSStorm I didn't mean keep only songs with tapping in them!! hahaha. I meant keep Headless Horseman and Midnight, the songs after the break where he sits down and does some solo tapping.

PS - Joe did NOT go to Berklee!!!

So, what have I missed?

Over the past 2 weeks I've FINALLY moved into my new home. Kick@ss! Also my little sis got married. We've always been very close, so it was kinda hard to see her in white, but I can't remember ever seeing a happier face than hers on that night, so I'm really happy 4 her.

I know I'll be even happier in 2 weeks. Albuquerque here we come! Any special stuff planned for that day, Mr. Satch? As long as u play Crushing Day, I'm cool.

Off I go. Later.

For anyone interested, I am selling a guitar I built in honor of Ibanez's three best rock players/guitars. I took a JS-10 body, JEM 77BK neck, and Pettrucci pickups (Air Norton and Steve's Special) and switching system, then put them all together. It is item #897096759 on eBay.

On a different note: Jo, I have enjoyed your instrumental CDs immensely over the last couple of years, and finnally got Flying in a Blue Dream a couple of months ago. By far, "The Phone Call" has become one of my favorite songs of yours. I do hope you decide to write some more songs with lyrics again...someday in the future. Thanks for the good music and inspiration. :)

Message from oz. A friend of mine went to the Manchester show, and was somewhat miffed as to why you played so many songs off 'Surfing with the alien'. I told him to shut up, and be glad he was there. I wasn't!!

I don't think most people know where oz is, ços i had to order a copy of SBM too. However, 78's got it in quick smart for me, and it's a good listen.

To Sharon, you are right about England being expensive too, we beat that by emigrating to a much warmer and sunnier place. cheers

Soon 30 days left 'till I can see the master himself, for the first time!! I can't wait!!! :O)

By the way, does anyone (or Joe) know if I could get my pedals signed (if I won an after-show pass or if I waited by his bus)? It probably requires some special kind of pen, but I'm not too sure about that... I already got Steve Vai's signature on them, it would be great if I could get Joe's too!

OKay. This guy Roman. I've been to his web site and he's some sort of eccentric. You're right he is just trying to sell his guitar stuff. I have a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a JS 1000. I have set up both for the best low action I can get. The Les Paul bends better than the JS, but as far as playability, the JS is flat out a better guitar.

Joe Dahling-

About three weeks to go before I see you in Orlando! My assistant is most happy about this. It will be her first time to see you in concert. I'm delighted to give her the opportunity, as the ticket is a gift from me to her for being such an awesome worker. It's thrilling for me to not only attend, but to expose her to your show for the first time!

It seems like a century since I saw you last, when in fact it was only July of last year. It is the last time I can remember being wildly giddy and carefree (we opened another business right after the show-that makes three between my husband and me)...so I am looking forward to grooving the evening away to your music again!

Incidentally, I had After Show passes to that show and was terribly disappointed that I did not meet you! It was the last night of the tour (Orlando). My husband said you must have been really overwhelmed after such a performance/tour and that's why you didn't appear. He's a live sound engineer, so I guess he should know. Steve Vai did though, bless his heart. Such a gentleman, but that's another story! Anyway dahling', looking forward to the evening and delirious with anticipation until then...
