Dave Williams, lead singer of Drowning Pool, was found dead on the band's tour bus Wednesday afternoon (August 14), according to a spokesperson for the group. He was 30 years old.
A cause of death has yet to be determined.
The Dallas quartet was on tour with Ozzfest when Williams' body was discovered. Ozzfest had played the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana, on Tuesday.
Wednesday was an off day for the tour. Thursday's Ozzfest at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia, will go on as scheduled, according to a manager for the outing. Bolstered by the hit single "Bodies," Drowning Pool's debut album, Sinner, has sold over 1.2 million copies to date since its release last June, according to SoundScan.

Thanks again to those who checked out my stuff!!!!! Your feedback is most appreciated because I trust your taste in music. I promise I will get around to checking out your tunes, I have limited time on a computer because I don't own one.
Chad Kroeger from Nickelback started a label out here in Vancouver and I'm going to send in a demo to them, considering Nickelback(like them or not) and Theory of A Deadman, a band on that label, they like rawkin' music. Basically I'm giving out demos for free to anyone that will listen to them. Thanks again everyone!!!
Joe: Vancouver is still waiting for you!!!

2. Change my phone number to the new place.
3. Contact Hydro, Gas, & Water.
4. Sign the Legal documents, pay the down payment money.. etc...

Mr. Nick,
It has always sounded to me that Joe uses a whole tone scale in "Enigmatic."
A whole tone scale is just that, only whole tones... there are also some really interesting substitutions you can do with it also...
For example, there's tritone substitution that works with most any V7 chord, well, if I'm remembering right, there are only two different whole tone chords, and they can all be substituted... man, theory's cool!

Did anyone receive the first newsletter in an email? I used to get them right away, but now that the new site is here I've had to read them in the news section.
Plum Loco - I'm so sick of moving. Not counting the fact that I have to move to and from college every few months, I have moved six times in my life... Fun, fun, fun.

Dear Joe,
Best wishes from Oahu. I've dug on your vibes since NOT OF THIS EARTH, and I was hoping to share some of my creations with you. I am of of a guitar nature. My buddy, who is of a drum nature, has implemented some cool stylings as well. We record using DP3 on to an iMac G4 via a MOTU 896 I/O. The LINE6 filter modeler is HAPPENING. How can I e-mail you some MP3s of our adventures
Peace to all
M.C.

Hey everyone, congratulations to Gruskada, Cyber Alien and Fretboard Lighter (and all the others I didn't recognise)! Bum, I was really hoping to win "the elusive SBM" but nevermind!
Trying to get the QT6 happening, but the damn security on these 'poots won't let me. It's already got QT5, is that sufficient? I NEED THIS WEBCAST!!! NEED NEED NEED!!! Well, not really but it'd be nice...
Gotta go and write a stupid assembly language program (why do they still make us do this crap?)
Later, BEN

Joe, I'm looking forward to the August 16 show in a couple of days. Got an Email from a fellow guitar player you know, Andy Timmons (wish I had been at the Dallas G3 show when he jammed with you guys). Anyway... Andy did some recording a couple years ago under the name "Texacali". Ansley Dunbar was on drums, vocals by John O'Daniel (formally of Point Blank), and the other guitarist was Point Blank founder Rusty Burns (plays left handed UPSIDE DOWN).
Anyway I'm trying to get a cd of the recordings from the guy who owned the studio (he is the road sound engineer for Bonnie Raitt) when he gets off the road. I'm wondering if you might like a copy of the cd when I can get one. Rusty and Andy want one badly. I recently bought a guitar to try yo learn a few licks and Rusty told me to learn to LISTEN to music to pick up on whats going on, Rusty taught himself to play at age 5 and was in a band by age 7 so I'm sure he's right. You being a guitar master (but forever a student) I figured you might want one. I'll let you know when I get them.
Bust off the chops for us on Friday!!!!!
