I got the sound working after changing browser from Netscape 7.0 Preview version to IE and now to the Qiucktime Player from the browser, but there's no video at all only the sound! I've tried lowering connection speed even to 256kbit and still no video! And there's still some lag. :-(

Ok I got it working now with video too. Had to choose the LOWEST connection speed and I also shut down my firewall.

kda - it sounds like your web browser isn't picking up the new page for some reason. you can usually force a browser to get a new page by either quitting and restarting, or manually going into your preferences and finding the place that says "empty cache", or even rebooting your computer. of course, clicking "refresh" really is all that you should need to do!
firewalls - anyone who has a firewall may indeed have problems with RTSP getting through it, so check apple's site about firewalls: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60688

Joe, What gives the guitar the screaming noise in what breaks a heart just before the solo? Is it a slide or whammy pedal?

It was the firewall indeed! Now I can get the picture even with 1Mbit speed with some lag though, but at least with 512kbit speed there's no lag at all. So if you people have firewall and experience difficulties shut it down and it will work 10 times better! :-)

Whojack - Plum Loco - Actually JS Clone 2 and I are in 102 I think. Dunno if I typed it wrong or something. According to JS Clone 2 it's the floor seats right up by the stage.
Section 201 is really cool aswell if i'm thinking of the right area. It's eyelevel to the performers and closer to the stage than the balcony is at Massey Hall.
I was at the amphitheater a few weeks ago. Most bands sounded like garbage butn as the bands got more professional it got to sounding very very good. And Joe's band isn't very big either. David Bowie was one of the bands I saw there. They sounded great and there was 5 instruments and vocals.
Whojack - You know what we look like. You guys gotta come to us, haha.

Hey, Joe, umm.. I just wanted to ask how you get that sound out of your guitar? Its hard to describe, but it seems to make the note more high pitched. Like in War, and What Breaks A Heart. Does it have something to do with like a floating tremelo system?

OK, now I've got another problem... When I click the link to download QT6, everything is fine until the installation program starts. It then says it will install QT5! Is this something that others have had troubles with? Why is it so? I have tried several ways of downloading QT6, all with the same results. Can anybody explain this?
Edit: I solved it... seems like QT6 is not available yet in Swedish, so I had to change it to English. Ah, the drawbacks of being a minority... LOL Joe, here I come!

OK, I've got it going now.... but how can I download it to my computer? Or maybe you're not supposed to? (which is perhaps understandable) The clip opens in a QT window, but there are no options other than to play the clip, no menu bar or something like that.

kda - yeah, it may just be the connection, I am only on 56k myself so I can't get a really good stream.
jon - I have the connection settings in QT6 down to 28k, is there anything else I can do to increase speed?

Webmaster...
Considering the problems people are having getting a picture and vocal maybe you could do a transcription of Joe's audio parts during Joe's effects section on the webcast... maybe you could even treat us to a schematic of his equipment... other sites have this feature!!!!!!
In fact coming to think of it years ago Joe used to have a real good equipment section where his guitar tech left full technical details as to how his guitars were set up and what configeration they were currently running through - couldn't we have a pernament feature like that?
This would certainly answer a lot of my questions!!!!

Hi everyone. I watched a few minutes of the webcast, and it looks AWESOME. Thanks to Jon and everyone else for their hard work in getting it to us. I'm going to wait until I'm at college in a few weeks to watch the whole thing, though. I'll have a much faster internet connection there. :-)
The Local Person - I mentioned something about Joe's symphonic project a while ago. I can't wait to hear it...I'm sure it will sound great. I just hope he doesn't get discouraged if he's unable to play some of the music live.
jblaze1 - I remember that comment. It seemed to me like it was just a funny post that Joe made to encourage people to give him album title suggestions. I don't know, though.
sat addict - What's your favorite song on SBM?
PJH - Wait a few days and then try the webcast again...
Kda - If only hitting refresh doesn't work, try holding down the ctrl key while hitting refresh.
JazzGuitar - I think there's an option in the site preferences to have your password emailed to you.
Everyone - I started using the lines, as some people suggested. Does it look ok?
...Austin...
