2 TON - I expressed an opinion and in no way meant to upset anyone... you obviously did read my comments in way that they were intended to come across ... which is the danger of 'talking without a voice of body language'....
What Satch does with his career and his music is his own business... it is not my place to state what is right or wrong...
I am definately not 'pompous'.....
If you read my posts again but with a different voice in your head, maybe you'll see that they are only observations and not critisisms.... and that are not intended to cause riots or insult the man himself.. like I said.. I've been a loyal fan for a long time.... and I still am....
If the record Co forced him into releasing a product prematurely then that's a shame... but it stands out like a sore thumb to me....
Maybe they should have backed off and let him release something that was better prepared....
Again that is not my business...
But as a fan that parts with 'hard earned' to acquire these CD's... don't you think that you are entitled to get something that is better than a 'rush job'....
If this is truely the case, the Satch himself would be inwardly a little disturbed that he was not allowed the time to 'put his best foot forward'....
I am genuinely sorry to have caused you so much distress....

Dragonchild - I agree with you whole heartedly... as I pointed out before... you must be able to be honest among friends... anything less is an insult to that friendship.... friends are allowed to have differing opinions... real friends respect those differences and can debate them without ever leading to confrontation... and without ever thinking any less of that friend because of their views....

ovation1 --- um, i think whojackafibby is a female... so she's a terrific mum!!
gruskada --- sorry about that! i forgot who it was. anyway, excellent thinking!! SBM rocks!!
PhryDom --- i'm sorry, i don't really get what you are saying. Didn't I already post the whole/half step formula for the Enigmatic Scale? are you saying that was wrong? at the risk of sounding like a pompous jackass, i got that from my scale book and i think it's reliable. Yeah i read that Joe himself had to write out the scale and study it more to harmonise it ....

Mr Nick --- The Enigmatic is a song by Joe Satriani on his NOTE album? He was talking about how sometimes good stuff can come out of working with a pencil and paper in this issue of Guitar World 1987....

Hey, Jon, if Bloop Dogg doesn't claim his prize then I'LL TAKE IT!
Going to Dallas tomorrow, but not going to the Satch show ... how bizarre is that? Oh well, I'm going to the one in Sauget a week from Monday ...
Congrats to Dave Gruska and John Eberl for their random luckiness! : )

Anyone who hit the Concord,CA show Sunday night make note of the set list? (Was a great show, but the 11PM curfew which seemingly shortened the set was kind of a bummer.) Thanks!

I am going to have to take a nuetral standing on the "flaming" of clarky...Back in April or May,Joe did post a message to us that he was being pressured to complete the project. He needed some outside intervention on this one.I was more than happy & honored to do so.Never the less,I also felt it was put together rather haistfully.Joe just happens to be good enough to "Belt them out"...}Clarky has been a great help to me.He reveiwed my CD with totally constructive points of view. Bad or good! In my opinion,he knows his stuff. He was 200% correct in his musical evaluation on my CD.He helped me realise my weaknesses & my strong points.Gave me the proper motivation to better myself as a performer & writer . I respect his & all opinions here.I have done my share of Flaming & praising on T2J} 2Ton has been here a long time as well & I respect his opinion too..Therefore, I must remain nuetral.I feel confident that they will work it out.Everyone have a nice day!:)jblaze1

Hi there,
Great job on the new website! Just wanted to say thanks as I am one of the lucky people who won a signed CD and tour shirt in the setlist contest! Also I wanted to wish Joe success and happiness on his tour.
I've been a fan of Joe's since Surfing came out and have been playing guitar for about 17 years. Joe's music and "no compromise" attitude have provided me with much inspiraton over the years. I particularly like the story about how Joe didn't release the song "Lords of Karma", until the melody line he wanted came to him many years later. You don't hear of that sort of thing too often...
I dig pretty much all of Joe's tunes but I would like to take this opportunity to give honorable mention to Hordes of Locust, Rubina, Flying in a Blue Dream and Cool #9.
Thanks Joe and continued success!
Peace

Hi Mr Joe, It was a great show at Denver. I was right in front of you...That was my best show that I ever that close to you. Everytime when you come to Denver I always try to get the front row and try to get the back stage pass as I can. But I got no luck for the back stage pass this time. But it was cool. I'll never forget the moment that you was stand right in front of me and show me the lesson. I'll remembering for the rest of my life. Thanks for millions.... I still practice your music listen to your music everyday. I and wanna let you know that you're always in my heart and forever. Hope someday I have a chance to play some songs (your songs) for you. Joe, What type of the delay pedal you're using? how many different type? do you use reverb? Thanks to Mike for all the set up. I was there and see the hold things. but still not enough. I wish I can afford to following you every single show. ok Joe, I'll talk to you later and hope you have a great show tonight. have a nice weekend. please reply me if you can. Love always.
sam.
