Q: Why don't any girls ever come to your shows?
A: It's funny. That's a dynamic that changes. As soon as we leave the country, from South America to Eastern Europe it seems like it's a completely mixed audience. But by the time we get to England it's more just the guys who play guitar. And when we come back to the States it's all that. When people ask me if I got into music to meet girls, I say, "You obviously haven't been to one of my shows." But I'm hoping because we're playing amphitheaters this summer we'll get both sexes coming out.
Great interview Joe, but i was there..................
So pleased you are OK MICHELLE......luv anibur***

ha! Anibur, you beat me to it! I was going to post that same clip. LOL! Less girls at the shows mean shorter bathroom lines for us!! LOL!!
Jon, thanks for the interview. Nice to read Joe's thoughts on Rubina & ZZ. Behind every great man is an even greater woman!! lol! As for the hair comment ~ like my husband says ~ grass doesn't grow on a busy street! There's also a great drummer in my head, but I lack 90% coordination a real drummer has. LOL!!
Good stuff!
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday ...or sundae, which ever you prefer :)

I knew it: YOU SAVED MY LIFE is about your wife and your kids...I knew it...because it was the last song of the album.
In the CRYSTAL PLANET album the last song was ZZ's song....get the picture guys...later

YaYo, sorry you had a bad time, those security nazi's do go a little overboard sometimes. Don't give up on seeing a live concert again, at least you know what to expect next time.
Webmaster, when you pick the winners is it a random drawing? How is that done? Does your computer pick them for you?
Michelle, I like Sundays and sundaes, with the latter having whipped cream and chocolate sauce :)

Yeah, Ya Yo...
Man that suxx... A similar situation happened in Toronto last year during the G3 tour... we were all forced to sit... couldn't even stand... couldn't even approach the stage near the end like they do... Joe hated that night... He was not pleased... He said the bouncers were idiots and the whole evening blew!
So even in Canada, we have Tight Asses living amongst us...
You're not alone!!
Peace...Barrie

I was wondering if Joe had any recommendations for guitar teachers in the East Bay/Berkeley area (now that he doesn't teach there anymore). I've been studying classical 2 1/2yrs, jazz 1 1/2 yrs and rock since January. My current teacher is good but doesn't know a lot of the "techno" stuff, and since I want to be a professional musician, I'm looking for someone who can work with me toward that direction. I'm almost 15, if that matters. Any suggestions for teachers would be very appreciated.
Saw Joe at the Greek Theater last night...great show!!! Flew down from the Bay Area to see him . Wish I had tickets for tonite at Concord Pavilion, I know it'll be an awesome show, too!
Mike

Whojackafibby, if you folks agree to duct tape your heads, can we see some pictures of that? LMAO! ha! I can see the media using those pictures as eveidence as to why there aren't many women at Joe's shows... to much hair. Maybe the girls could just wrap aluminum foil around a wire hanger and use it for a halo/antennae type indentification as a T2J member. The hanger can be taped to your forehead...just so you fit in. Hey! The tape can also double as a name tag!! Having your name written in black marker across duct tape on your forehead will surely get you noticed! I say you folks should go for it!! LOL!!

Afternoon, JDs and Lentilmen...
Interesting interview!
Steve Vai fans: I saw The Elusive Light & Sound the other day while looking for Ultra Zone (still can't find it) and after tossing up, I thought nah...it'd all just be chops. I went and asked about info on SBM release, and all she'd tell me was that "no it isn't released and there's no record of it being released before December" I ALREADY KNOW THAT. So I was really annoyed and as consolation I bought the damn CD, the cover was just irresistible. I was right. It is mostly chops. "Can you blow me where the pampers is" CLASSIC
webcast soon, cool.
BEN

Oh yeah...about SBM, if it's not coming out in Aus then I'd be smarter to import a copy from JAPAN and not US/Europe heh heh heh! The thing is though, I waited for LISF at least 9 months. We'll see.
