hey folks, just wanted to let you know that i've posted some photos a friend of mine took at The Bone yesterday. they're over in the road section and anyone who listened can (and should) write a review there. if you were lucky enough to be there in person, list yourself of course as attending. and yes, thebone folks got a bit confused-- there was not a video webcast of the show. however, i believe they may be doing some streaming of a couple songs in the future. i'll let you know, of course.

as most of you have noticed, i also uploaded photos from the concord show yesterday and a number of them turned out pretty well.

i also just finally uploaded some pictures from the rehearsal for Strange Beautiful Tour which can be seen by clicking on the "band road gallery" on the road section, or with this link (which is now included in the drop-down link). joe and jeff said they hope to be able to upload more photos from the remaining US dates :}

asia tour dates will be coming shortly, along with the setlist contest winner names and final details on the upcoming webcast that starts at the end of this week!

Hi Joe,

In a recent interview in the San Francisco Chronicle you said that "musical talent does not progress with coordination." I'm interested what your thoughts are then on how musical talent does progress.

Thanks!

Clarky, you are right, age really has not slowed him down at all. It makes me realize that I still have many years of playing ahead of me :) I have to admit that I like to listen to the first seven songs of SBM more than the last seven. It's still taking time for me to soak it all in....

Gotta love that top ten list...lol

BennyBoombox, I hope you are one of the 20 winners of the autographed CD and concert t-shirt. If you don't win, I'll send you a copy. That kind of sux that SBM is'nt being released in Australia......Peace all, Dave

Sharon, actually I prefer to replace the ice cream with a woman when I'm eating hot fudge and whipped cream ;)

hi joe, im kinda drunk, sorry about the spelling. i love sbm, a few dorks in the chat room are dissing it, its chock full of what u do best melody and feeling. if they dont dig it they have something missing inside. it hurts me when uncreative people put down people with great minds

take care, smile, be happy, and keep up the great work

CLARKY: I do not agree with you about your comments on SBM, I think the album is very intense and WELL AND PERFECTLY PRODUCED. Every song on the album is perfectly balanced musically. I think you have to sit down and hear it all over agan. Above all, I think Erick Caudiux, John Cuniberti and Joe did a great job on the production of the album.

If it was a review of a Motion Picture, I will probably give it 4.5 stars out of 5.

For Adun: Thanks man, for that Top Ten list of yours.

Very funny. LOL.

BTW -> Good idea of putting voting messages in all those CD boxes. But I was on a holiday, had no computer travelin' with me, only wife and kids. But had my ghettoblaster and some nice CD's with me.

Everybody else: Keep on rockin' in a Free World !!

To Joe: G3? => Walter Trout. A great composer (both lyrics and music) and a very good guitarist. You should listen to his interpretation of Red House or his version of Going Down; on the album Life in the Jungle. Or check out his website www.waltertrout.com.

Great player! T2Jers should check him out! RDG is a band to be reconed with. Good luck Rich. Matt: Still memorizing SBM? We know we will all hear about it soon enough, when you are ready. Been a long time yet again since I've posted here. KDA - Not sure if you know, but Sleep Walk is a cover that joe played on the album. I'm not sure who wrote it originally, it's one of a few names I've got in my head but not sure which one. Anyhoo, not too much going on over here. Getting all ready for my 2 week trip to Rome in September for the World Dragonboat Championships! We got an anti - doping package which lists substances that are illegal in the competition. Man oh man, 32 pages of illegal substances! Tylenol and cough syrups are the only ones that caught my eye when I glanced at it. Anyway, I'll hopefully drop by more often. Take it easy. later folks.

Jon/Joe, in the SBM rehersal pictures - pic #9 - there's a second smaller set of drums. Are they Joe's drums, and what does he use them for? Thanks for the great pics!!

I'm feeling old today. Today is the day my husband and I got together 20 years ago! 20 years!! Man, how time flies! In Nov. we'll be married for 15 yrs. and tomorrow is his 40th birthday. We have the next two days off to celebrate our birthdays, so that's pretty cool. Mine is the 15th. Man, I just can't believe how time flies...and how good this wine is....

Musical meditation...I'm so there!

Chud 7String - The JS seven string isn't commercially available.

pakihaki - I don't think anyone made an MP3 of it. Sorry. Also, this site is great for time zone conversions.

nyfan - Welcome to the site. I saw that you mentioned Stu in your post. Just FYI, he isn't touring with Joe this time around. Matt Bissonette is.

JS Clone 2 - Well, with your competition coming up it looks like you finally have to lay off the cocaine. Just kidding...haha.
