Webmaster: I'm unable to view the rehearsal footage from the webcast. Either I'm being an idiot and it's not available yet, or there is some problem with that footage. Any ideas? I had no problem watching the concert footage, part 1. I'm using a Mac (OS9), IE and QT6. Thank you!

And, yes, I second the idea of making this footage available in its entirety. If not as an official release, how about as a release (even if just on VHS) through the website for satriani.com members only? The concert is fantastic so far. Hallelujah that Joe is finally playing "Crushing Day". Let's hope he keeps it up. Also keep "Why" in the set. Come on, Joe...keep things interesting for us old timers who want to hear new/rare stuff, and not just the "greatest hits". Thanks!

Hello Joe and webmaster, thanks for this great Joe satriani`s webcast: Crashing Day live!!! Amazing with new clothes :)). Thanks for everything, I was sad because Portugal has not the pleasure to see Satriani this year, but a webcast is a little gift, thanks again a great, world gig!! JS Clone 1:

If you liked No Tomorrow be sure to check out Dreaming Out Loud, it's along the same lines, just not as cliched.

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel sounds like a rejected Satch song.

And no I didn't record line in, it was just a mic hanging in front of my tiny little Peavey amp, and I used the Metal Zone. I have a Triple Rectifier but no cab, and it doesn't have a line out, or one that I can find.

Hi everyone!

Webmaster, the new chat is great. I must be up too early because I'm the only one in there at the moment..lol..I got tired of talking to myself so I figured I'd post on here.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a first Steve Vai album? I've been told over and over that I need to listen to his stuff. And believe it or not, I have not listened to one single note of his music...ever! No offense to you Joe, but I need to broaden my listening experience a little....you're still the best :)

NONSMOKER

Aside from his work with DLR, Whitesnake and The Bill And Ted Movie, I didn't know Steve Vai's music either. But I picked up Passion And Warfare, and I think it's an awesome album. It's definately ear candy for me, and I'd assume for other guitar players aswell. There are some great songs on it, and some over the top playing. Hope that helps

It is Stu not boo:Yup, I hate when that happens. I sometimes pick my guitar up and play something that sounds cool before I head to guitar lessons. Then I get there and ask my guitar teacher what he thinks and he's like that sounds just like.....and I'm like dammit.....lol

gtrfreak & Mr Nick: If you look in the Archives on this site you'll see that there was an FAQ portion where you could just ask questions to Joe. It's still there too and some of the questions are answered.

Chess Music: You can use the "view posts from the last" feature up top. You could select it by the hour/day/month even.

NonSmoker: I would have to agree with Mighty Pattullo Head. Passion And Warfare is an awesome CD.

ok, webcast really jittery... yeah, that's with me on 56k modem and eith 28.8/36.6k option on quicktime 6. Oh, and nothing else using my internet connection. Oh dear. Can anyone streambox it or anything? I happily wait 24 hours or so to download huge files onto the computer. as long as they're satriani webcasts that is.

I'll try again soon, but maybe it would be possible to release it in the future as a downloadable file? I dunno.

Dave, do you have G3 with Joe, Eric Johnson & Steve Vai? Those are my favorite Vai songs. Steve can play the hell out of a guitar, but in all honesty, it just ain't my thing. I have a cd or 3 of his - matter o' fact, I just got his newest one on my birthday (Elusive Light & Sound). Some of his music is jaw dropping killer stuff, but some of it is beyond my grasp. He's great, don't get me wrong, but I prefer Joe :) Iberian Jewel is a very cool tune off of Live in an Ultra World. I'm a slave to the groove! lol! That's a pretty cool cd. I dig disk one - it's a double disk deal. Whispering a Prayer is a beautiful song too. It brought tears to my eyes when I seen him play it live at G3 last year. Don't know why - it just hit something inside. ha! I'm not much help ~ sorry.

NonSmoker I would say Alive In An Ultra World is a good pick to begin with, it's got both really advanced stuff as well as playful waltz tunes.... :) The band is really tight, with Mike Mangini and Mike Keneally standing out. Other than that, both Ultra Zone and The 7th Song are good. Passion And Warfare is a classic of course, but in my opinion very dependant on how much you are into playing guitar yourself. I don't play guitar and to my ears it was very difficult music in the beginning, and it's still not my fav album. My first Steve Vai album was Alien Love Secrets and it totally blew me away..... I still love that CD. That's a good pick too.... whew, so many to choose from... LOL I hope you got some help anyway. Cheers!

Webmaster

As it seams, everybody is having problems with the streams. So unless we get to download or something else, it's practically useless and annoying.
Hope to see something working.
