like almost everyone else... I STILLLL can't watch the webcast... have tried everyday.... and at different times of the day... I think QT sucks big time... don't have this problem watching any other webcasts.... I can watch about 2 secs, then it reloads... then another 2 secs... and this is on preferences set to 28!!! and I'm not using a firewall!

try and get this released on DVD please!!!!!!!!! even if you can't get the full show get the rehearsal stuff!!!

you could do it direct order from your site for fans...... this would stop me from pulling my hair out and nearly throwing my Boss DS1 through my monitor!

2 TON - no hard fealings bro

Death Cube - David plays a 'Zeta' violin.. this is a 5 - string solid body electric. The 5th string gives it the range of a violin and a viola combined. He plays through guitar FX [distortion, wah, delay etc etc ] so at times it gets confusing as to who is shredding... me... or him...lol... and when he turns up the vibes he can really go.. quite an inspiring guy to work with... He appaered on 'Larks Tongues and Aspic' and on 'Starless and Bible Black'... The albums of this period are generally known as the most creative and ground breaking - the classic line-up... The fun part is that I get to bump into the others [Fripp, Wetton, Bruford] on the odd occasion [quite rare though].... In my own tiny way, I guess that this puts me on the 'family tree' albeit out on the edge... makes me a little proud though... # : )

For all that are having trouble with the webcast: Try this: Open up the quicktime player and click on edit. Then click under preferences, Quicktime Preferences and under that select, from the drop down menu, "Streaming Transport." Then click "Auto Configure." I'm running Windows XP Professional with a cable modem and it wasn't running right until I did that. I hope that I have provided some help with this. I also hope that we can download the rehearsal footage or be able to acquire it on DVD sometime.

Iambic - don't be hard on yourself with repsect to your music... If you tell someone "check out my new tune... it's ok but a little cr@p... " then you've already influenced their opinion... how aout " dude, here's my latest, what d'ya think?"... If they love it then cool... if they don't then that's cool too.... the most important thing is that you love it.... stay lcuky..

r6rocker - Yoda is headed to become quite a player... we had a great jam together earlier this summer [and I guess we're due another pretty soon]... his playing is going from strength to strength and quickly to. The key is that he posseses the two greatest qualities in great abundance...

1/ a voracious hunger to learn - all aspects [playing, theory, music in general, kit and technology]

2/ a tremendous love for both his guitar and music in general

Add this to his natural gift and I see tremendous potential...

Yoda - before you get too happy with these comments.... we still got a pile of work to do on ya ..... lol lol lol

My story is that I've been playing since fire was discovered.. lol ... lol... my playing is pretty solid ... I studied music at the university of London so my theory is pretty solid too... I play session for a guy called David Cross [ex King Crimson] and I'm writing a new album of my own [which is way behind schedule but I'm still hard at it]...

If you want to hear me noodling over a few backing trax[nothing too serious though] check out:

Hi all, i have not posted a long time ago, but i read everything our Satch community has to say.
John, dear webmaster, i am also experiencing problems with the webcast stream, i have a decent dialup connection that i am proud of and i rarely have problems with other streams (the redhotchillipeppers.com videos for example) I've tried everyhing there is to try, customized all QT's options, and still i get a lagged picture and no sound. Can you make any efforts to get the webcast in some other format, maybe Windows Media compatible, or Real Audio compatible, we all want to see Joe, so please consider this. I know you all have certain policies and principals (working with Apple for example), but the results are visible, people are experiencing problems with the webcast. In the name of all Satch fans, can you do this for us John?

punkdude, I thought it was Francis? lol! j/k I have no idea, but with a good solid name like Joe (Joseph?) his middle name could very well be Amazing! lol!

Is anybody watching the X-Games? These cats are crazy! These motorbike jumps are awesome! Freestyle MotoX = No Fear! JOE, ARE YOU WATCHING ANY OF THIS? My son is a skateboarder and he loves this stuff. Is ZZ interested in these kinds of sports? (watching or doing?)

Satch3d~ Matt, I just took a listen to your "new idea" you had the other day, and it's absolutely fantastic! Now finish the damn c.d. already!!! lol!

Sorry Clarky: i've had a hard time of it as of late. April I almost died from a viral infection: it still affects me:and I got a lousy review from freinds I used to play with. I don't mean to be down. I'll work on it harder and try to post some selected songs from Steven and myself once I get the help or $ to do so. Maybe then I can get an objective review. Thanks for lifting my spirits. i hope that you will see that my Northwest freinds did not "Get it" when I sent them my latest cd. I am learning all the time. I am first and foremost a 'student ' of the instrument even though Steven thinks of me as a teacher. My only regret: I wish I could perform live with Steven. solution: we will do just that. We recently acquired two GK 250's! They are sweet! I can run mine into my 4-12 cab(clestions-of course) and I made a custom 4-10 for Steven. He has not had the benefit of playing for the public.....I have in bands for the northwest. in everet Washington with "Pedestrian Polo" filling in for a guitarist that had commited suicide. My long time friend Frank, and his wife needed to have some one fill in to finish their gig schedule. We did a version of "Aint miss behavin ' " where we did "Rubber Ducky" as a middle 8. It's basically the same Chords! I'll keep a positive head on my shoulders now. Hope to post the tunes soon, for better or......The whole I dea is to have FUN! KTF.

Hey everybody, I just got my final motorcycle license today! I'm so excited! I walked my bike to the community center by my house, and rode around the lot for like 30 minutes, then rode it back to my house, even though I wasn't supposed to. My dad gave me "special" permission, it's only because I'm 3 doors down from the building. My bike hasn't been insured, certified, and it doesn't have plates on it either, so if I got caught, I was certainly in the wrong. lol.

Nick: I'm using the afore mentioned GK 250, with a Zoom GFX 707 as a pre, and I play my Bob Weir pro. That's all I need. Just get used to turning your amp up.(No one like a shy guitarist) Okay they do, but turn up anyway. My set-up, no noize! Experiment with different equipment to find the best for yourself, and your style. The more sounds, the better. I'm sure Joe would even say that! Stay Cool. Thanks again Paul. I'll fly right from now on. Joe: thanks to you for being a great teacher! You teach us all by just playing your best! KTF
