As far as taking pics during the shows, it helps a lot to get to the venue real early and start chatting with the security nazis. Last year in Santa Fe I was talking to a very cool dude who ended up guarding the side of the stage where I was. As u can see from the pics on this site (go to the road archives and look for July 3, 2001), he never got in my way and all he asked was not to use flash.

Well, just as I was all hyped up about wednesday's show, my boss shows up and tells me that he needs to send someone to Dallas tomorrow. There are 2 guys who could go, but if they can't make it I'll have to do it. D@MN!

Here's the DT set list from Concord, CA (got it from another page): Pull Me Under 6:00 Fatal Tragedy DOE/Erotomania/Ytse Jam/Paradigm Shift/Hell's Kitchen Medley New Millennium Lines In The Land Misunderstood Solitary Shell The Spirit Spirit Caries On Learning To Live

If I DO go to Albuquerque, I promise to post both set lists. Later.

Sorry I missed it last time, but a belated "Happy 100th to JBlaze!"

Mr Nick: I didn't say it was crap, I said it was chops. There are 8 tracks that go over 3 minutes out of 40. It's music, but it isn't songs. I wanted songs. But I bought it anyway. And SBM isn't released here, but remember, Satch hasn't been here for about 7 years either.

Major Tom: you should have put "vote for Joe..." campaign messages in the CD covers of ALL the artists in the guitarist section!!!

Clarky: most Satch CDs I listen to for the first time and don't really get into I write off, then after maybe months I come back to them (the tunes keep going through my head) and they become my favourite CDs. Crystal Planet, Joe Satriani and Not Of This Earth were all examples of this. It was 2 years from the time I borrowed JS from a friend (for a week) to the time I gave in and bought it, and it took 2 days to love it.

43rd post! later, BEN

Invigor - Funny you should mention NOTE because I recently aquired. One of my very best friends came back from his vacation in Ireland and brought me back NOTE. It was in a bargain bin and was obviously used but the cd still in very good condition. I listening to the whole album in it's entirety today for the first time and I LOVED it. Memories was hilarious because i'm used to hearing the whole band blow in on that exotic scale Joe plays in octaves. On the original Memories on NOTE, it was this weak little guitar part but still cool. Usually where Joe plays this really fast legato lick (Dreaming #11), he plays those partial chords and chords descending and they're easier to hear on this version. What a great album.

The beggining of the solo in Hordes of Locusts in the best solo intro ever.

What are the main finger excercises to becoming a faster guitar player? What is the "bench press" of guitar playing?

Hi everyone... Here's the set list from the 107.7 The Bone thing...

Satch Boogie

Ice Nine

Starry Night

The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing

Sleep Walk

Devil's Slide

Always WIth Me, Always With You

Summer Song

The Star Spangled Banner

Joe played bits and pieces of other things as well. Those included Midnight, Brother John, and something on Time Machine that I can't remember right now (he only played a few seconds of it). I think it was I Am Become Death.

The Star Spangled Banner was played because someone in the audience asked a question about what happened at the A's game earlier this year. So at the end, the DJ joked about it and Joe went ahead and played it.

JOE!!!

You were totally incredible!!! There you were in all of your glory... just fantastic! Thank you for your sharing your gift, your talent and your heart. Watching you play at the Greek was just wonderful and I enjoyed every minute.

It was also neat getting a chance to meet you in person before the show at the signing you gave.

I love your karma...

Hi Joe.Been a fan of yours since you first came up. I have also been a fan of Uli Jon Roth since his Scorpions days.Tracks like Sails Of Charon,Catch Your Train and We'll Burn the Sky are A Guitar Milestone. Its a shame that all the American Guitar magazines Never transcribed any of the 70s Scorps Tabs. His works would help alot of guitarist I am sure. Are u GUys gonna release the G3 in Europe ?the ones with Uli and M.Schenker? Its will be awesome! majority of ya Fans in Europe and Asia are waiting impatiently for it. I really hope you could release it on DVDs. Thank You for your amazing Music!

I like your honesty Clarky :-)....I came short of saying this was JOE's best album, and the same thing happened when CP came out....For some reason, it didn't hit me at first because I was getting more into VAI back then....A friend of mine let me borrow CP, and I just didn't get into it (I know, it's crazy when I think about it now!!)....But after awhile of seeing it on the racks at the store, I finally bought it and haven't put it down since....I bought SBM right away (like EOC) and it is flip-floping in and out of my cd player, but never out of my car....I'm trying to "absorb" it, and I stated before that it will take a long time to do so....I am not thrilled about the cover/ layout design either....I was expecting too much maybe, and some of the middle part's of songs don't seem to "fit" in the mix but like I said, although I really like it, "TIME" will be the only real way to honestly judge it as JOE's best....

Peace all, /\/\ike
