BTW, what I meant by "I was expecting too much maybe, and some of the middle part's of songs don't seem to "fit" in the mix", was that some of the solo's don't go where I'd like them to go....Kinda' tapered off, but that's to early to tell......

Peace again, /\/\ike

due to sleep requirements i missed the show..has anyone got a recording of it?..if not...you all very ignorant as i asked for the show to be recorded..anyone??cos its not fair that you americans get to have 2 shows over the net and us europeans have one...cos Joe missed out alot of europe

wingnut007 - only one way to get faster - PRACTISE...and lots of it...it wont hapen over night..how quickly you get faster depends how much you practise.Get a metranome and start of slowly and gradually increase your speed till you can play scales up and down the fretboard and across (and chromatic stuff) at any speed and a good flowing way.

Love the top ten list Ben!! LMAO!! Especially the top 5 :-)

SOTD: B.R.O. by Mr. Gilbert....from the Racer X "TD" album.... A little Bach infested shred manifesto....Nice and Heavy!! ;-)

SOTD tomm: "Oriental Melody" by THE MAN, Mr. Satriani :-) JOE: You should add some Classical touches to your next album!! I know you can play it, and part's of "SBM" showcase it!! :-)

Peace all again! /\/\ike (lol, no more 4hr limi.!)

For Adun - LOL! Very funny.... I have a few of those left actually.... and I guess I'm not a true TTJ-fan since I don't understand the alternate meaning of 'wicket'...... :) But I'm gonna hang in there and one day I will earn my place among the hardcore fans, and I will definitely deserve it 'cause there will not be too many friends left hanging around.... LOL

dragonchild: "wicket" is a term that an old TTJ'er named wolfie used to use....Same meaning as "wicked" I believe.. You can check out the archives from about 2 yrs ago and you will find his "only wolfie can understand" post's, lol.... eg: "Man, car was fast but Satriani blew the door off and uh..oh, oh, kinda like that cause my friend's said so and gotta get...ya it on there cause 4 barrell and 2 by 4 cant!!"

His last message here was that he had to go to traffik (traffic) court the next day, and we never heard from him again :-( Hope that explain's it......BTW, you are a true TTJ Joe fan.... LOL :-) /\/\ike

Death Cube - I think Beck is superb... folks don't really talk about him much these days... he's a tremendous 'ideas' man as well as a player..

MZ - very little of the new stuff was played live....

Ovation - I think that I will not listen to SBM for a few months.. just forget it.. listen to different stuff for a while and totally empty out my head.. I'll try again another time all fresh.. I know what you mean about some sections not exactly 'dove-tailing' together... It's almost like 'cut-n-paste' song writing.. When you write soley on software this happens.. when you write with a band [or very focused upon how a band would perform it] the songs are more flowing, natural... organic. I'm not critising or so that he should or should not have done something a specific way - it's not my place to do so... I just thought that some parts seemed a little odd - un-natural even. I'm not the type of fan that blinly follows a band, adoring everything they've done just because they did it... I'm a mental Vai fan but there is a great deal of his stuff that don't flick my switches too..

I don't think that 'getting older' is a reason for this [as someone pointed out in an ealier post]... Satch's playing from a mechanical point of view is top notch [you'd expect nothing less].. I think it's more the writing and overall vibes....

I'll give it time... # : )

For Adun - Haha nice. LET'S GET THE 3-PEAT EXPERIENCE HAPPENING AGAIN... erg... but Ya Yo isn't to frequent anymore.

Yeah and what was with that dude, you completely understand and support me now?

Ovation1 - I can't believe it myself but I didn't dig CP at first either. Now it's the greatest thing ever... other than NOTE, my most recently aquired album.

Wingnut007 - Through experience, one word can answer your question. SCALES

Wingnut - I developed an exercise called G major everywhere. It's good for learning the neck and I use it to repair and enhance my technique. Scales alone won't make you a better player though.. You still need to practice moving from one chord to another cleanly, arpeggios, tapping, harmonics, bending, muting, vibrato and the list goes on..... What, how and how often you practice is important too.. If there was only a single thing to make you a great player then we'd all be practicing it like fury ... lol.. If you spend all of your time playing scales you'll never learn to write songs / solos.. Your practice sessions should be varied, interesting, fun and with a specific objective so that you can measure your success... If you wish, we can try to work out something that is good for you....

Stick at it but most of all... love it..

For Adun --- hilarious!! although i don't know what all of it means, i know more than half the references and am glad to be part of T2J! LOL

i'd said it before and i'll say it again, SBM didn't sound that cool when i first heard the audio samples on this site, but after listening to the album completely and giving it time, i think it's a fantastic record!!

my Song of the Day -- 'Starry Night' gorgeous performance by Joe on the BONE!!

P.S. anyone ever heard of the Boom Boom Satellites? it's a band that Joe really likes and has mentioned in interviews...

Non smoker - I like chocolate and sundaes too.

Anibur - I've probably missed a bit, is Joe saying not many girls go to his shows, there were enough at Brum and London. Not enough to produce large loo queues though as you pointed out.

I'm sorting my housing out right now, it's time to be ruthless and chuck out all the clutter.

Ovation1- Thanks for naming me a true TTJ-fan ;) I am going to print your quote, frame it and put it on the wall above my altar dedicated to Joe...... LOL

Joe- As soon as you get you cute little b*** over to Sweden, I'll increase your female audience with at least one person. And maybe I'll bring some friends, too. :)

Clarky- I agree with you that you shouldn't follow a band or an artist just because they are who they are, you should like their music too. If they produce something you don't like, don't listen to it, it's that simple. I'm also a BIG fan of Steve Vai, but some of his stuff is just too weird or doesn't sound good to me. (That just means that his other albums are being played A LOT more...)

Right on man... checked out the tunes and dug what I heard.

I also have my instrumental stuff up at MP3.com H E R E and am currently performing throughout Southern California to promote my music. Would love to hear what you (and anyone else for that matter) thinks.

Satriani is by far one of my biggest influences and one of the main reasons I'm doing what I'm doing.
