It's been a while since I have been on. I use the computer at work and they have a bandwidth restriction. So it's banned alot. Nice to be back though. Can't wait for the Cleveland show. I hope the tour is going well!

Monstor Zero: It's not uncommon to see even 10 strings on a classical guitar. Watch the movie "Crossroads" when Ralph Macchio is performing at school. There is a girl that performs either right before or after him that is playing on a guitar with more than 6 strings. This movie came out long before Vai was using the 7. I'm not sure how these extra strings are tuned.

Clarky - Thanks for your comments, man. They really encouraged me. The 'bare' sound in the verses is partly down to the program I made the backing track in. It's shocking. But the instrument is very sparse, I suppose. Also, there is a modulation in this piece - didn't you notice it? The solo section shifts up to C# minor from B minor. The next song on the site will probably be a re-make of "A Face In The Clouds", so I'll let you know when that's up. Did you check out the improv piece "Let's Hear It For A Minor!!!" at all? First take to one of Guthrie's backing tracks fropm GT magazine.
The rest of you can all feel free to check out the new song called "Crimson" at my site.
Neil out.

ovation1 - No I didn't get to meet Joe. I was hanging out with MegaBoyd during the set changes and we saw Jon up on stage with his camera. We shouted to him and he came down to the front to talk to us for a few minutes.
Rusky 15 - Don't feel stupid. It's ok. People ask that question here all the time...which is why my site nickname is what it is. ;-)
buda jones - Congrats.

JazzGuitar - Joe's messages do show up with ours. That link is there so people can click it if they only want to see posts from Joe, and not posts from the rest of us. You can see the same stuff for anyone by clicking the "total posts" button under his or her name. Joe's is just set up to have a button.

JazzGuitar - the special button is just so you can see all messages joe has ever posted. when he posts them, they show up with everyone else's, and if you scan back to old messages you can see them in that context, too.
all - if anyone knows of a valid email for nickname Bloop Dogg, let them know that they need to update it in their preferences so i can contact them about winning the setlist contest. i need to confirm their postal address :}
webcast starts friday! get ready :} if you haven't already, download quicktime 6, since you'll need that to watch it! (it's in the new mpeg4 codec which is better quality than previous).

I took a quick glance at the set list winners and I recognize at least a few of them from Talk To Joe. Congrats to Cyber Alien, Fretboard Lighter, and gruskada. I'm sorry if I left out any other winners that post here, but these are the ones I remember most.
webmaster - Thanks for the update about Quicktime 6. I'm going to download it now.
Everyone - Go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ to get Quicktime 6.
