Joe, it seems that every other time that I play my guitar, a string breaks. Is it something wrong with the set up or anything? Thanks, and great job in Pheonix!

ps. I am not abusive to my guitar.

Aaaahhhh.....friday at last :)

As far as what I'm getting for a tattoo, if the guy can't do what I want or does'nt have anything I like, I just won't get one. I've heard time and time again how much it hurts. It can't hurt as bad as the absessed tooth I had pulled out last year, I almost passed out it hurt so bad.

Well, I'm not getting a flaming skull or anything morbid, which seems to be pretty common. Actually, I was thinking of getting something related to my heritage (I'm Irish). So I was thinking about a "shamrock" or 4-leafed clover with my last name underneath it, and then my two kids names on either side. And the other is that little leprechaun guy from Notre Dame with his fists up and the words "fighting Irish". If I can't get either one than its a no-go....Most likely, I'll go with the first one I mentioned.......I'll let y'all know how it turned out tomorrow :)

Hi Joe I think the new album is superb and the best you have done.I went to the gig at the Birmingham academy and to be frank I was disappointed .The sound mix was not very good . I took my son Tom (13 ) and he was upset because we could not get near the stage(even though we were early) and had great difficulty seeing you play.Who checks out the venues because last time I saw you in Birmingham at the NIA the venue was superb. On a different note do you give lessons to budding 13 yearolds who heroe worship you? Keep up the good work.cheers Graham.

wingnut that's a tough question to answer since we don't know what type of hardware you are using. What type of bride do you have, if it's a temolo what type of temolo, what type of nut do you have, what kind of tuning machines do you have, what strings do you use, what type of pick do you use?

I had a terrible time with the Spurzel locking tuning machines on my Parker Fly Classic at first, particularly on the B and high E strings. When I started winding around the tuner head twice, instead of just pulling the string through, locking and tuning, I had much better luck. There are a lot of variables that go into it. Give us a few more details and we could probably give you some helpful advice, after all there are a lot of tremendous guitarists that post here.

Finally!! Tomorrow at the Greek Theatre in L.A! I'm very fired up! I just arrived in Sacramento and it was one hell-acious drive! 12 1/2 hours just to get here and probably another 6 or 7 to get to L.A. I just got off the horn with GT Administration office and, after inquiring, they said that there's no indication of an autograph signing. I hope that this isn't true. Since some of us weren't lucky enough to hook up with ASP's, an autograph signing would kick a**! Joe, this would rock! Nonetheless, I do hope you come around to Washington State, preferably The Gorge! I hope you play UP IN THE SKY tomorrow night! Best of luck with this tour and those to come!

JSW Thanks for the cool link to the interview with Joe! I've never even heard his "real" voice before (other than in between songs), so it was interesting. Why oh why do I live in Sweden and not America, where I would have plenty of opportunities to see Joe perform.......

ethn Sorry to hear about your problems, I hope everything will turn out for the best for you. Just try to keep your eyes open for the unexpected, you might be surprised! I know, it sounds like the worst of all clichés, but it really works...... Just hang in there.

Joe (or someone in the know), I produced a radio spot for the upcoming show at Pop's in Sauget, Illinois, and the ad copy said that at some point you (Joe) served as guitar instructor to Steve Vai; this site, though, lists Vai as someone with whom you've jammed, and lists Kirk Hammett (and others) as a student, which is the info I included in the spot. So my boss, who wrote the ad, doesn't get upset with me for not reading the thing exactly as he wrote it, please tell me that Vai was not a student of yours, unless, of course, Vai was, in which case I will immediately reach for a moist towelette to wipe the egg from my face (as well as to re-do the spot, which basically took me about three hours to put together). My e-mail: bryan@wdml.com Thanks!

kell - Joe didn't do Surfing? That's a surprise. It's kinda cool, actually. I love the song but it's nice to see that he doesn't have to play it at every show. Can you confirm whether or not he played New Last Jam?

Jaymz27 - The 21 and over thing is something that the promoter is responsible for. There's not much Joe can do, especially at this stage.

guitarus - It's cool that you drove down from Washington state...you're a dedicated fan. ;-) Just FYI, you should be able to make it to LA from Sacramento in under 7 hours. I live in Folsom (north of Sacramento) and it takes me less than 7 1/2 hours to go to LA (I go to school in Long Beach).

Jamz27 ~ that really blows! Is there anyone older you can go with? Maybe if your with someone older they'll let you in. Hell, get somebody in line to say they're your uncle or something. I don't know how that particular venue is run, but they might not be to strict? Then again...call the place & see what the rules are. Is it absolutely no one under 21 no matter what the circumstance?

Dave, they have alot of beautiful Celtic designs if your looking for something like that. Leave your options open and you'll be amazed with all the cool stuff you can find. Tell the guy what you have in mind. Say something like "I want something Irish!" LOL! My last tat was a gold Celtic braid with a big green jewel in it (I'm Irish too). If your getting it on your arm, it's no sweat. Chest, back, leg...that'll put a hurtin' on ya. If you don't find anything you want to spend the rest of your life with, go home. Buy some mags & see if you can get an idea for something you like out of one of them. Good luck :)

Joe, I'll echo Evbro's question ....are you going to play Belly Dancer? Please & thank you!

Ya'll- I feel silly, as though I SHOULD be able to figure this out...here's my predicament.

I had a rare break at work today and logged on briefly-at which time the little photo in the upper left hand corner showed a picture from July 22nd of last year! No sooner than I clicked on there and started gazing around did my next appt walk in...I haven't been able to find it since! Any suggestions? I was in attendance at that show and I sure would like to find it!
