Jaymz27, I totally agree. TM SHOULD tell every ticket buyer that the gig is 21 & over. It's like they're saying "yeah, we'll take your money...sucker! " Like stealing candy from a baby for a corporation as big as they are. They should be ashamed of how they practice buisness, but it's all about the almighty dollar. It sucks.
PhryDom, it IS like having red hot needles dragged over your skin again & again! lmao!!! Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling, don't it? LOL!
2 Ton, you didn't know??
Pete, a few of them can even play pretty well! ;-)

WILLBROWNE!!
i have a JS1000, and those rumors that it goes out of tune easily are totally wrong!! because it is a floyd rose though, it take some time to get it IN tune. but, once you have it where you want it, it stays that way forever. until eternity. or until you break a string. for a floating trem, it stays in tune extremely well. take it from me, this guitar sounds amazing. the trem plays like an absolute dream. this is the best bridge in the world, methinks. so don't believe the rumors about the JS1000 going out of tune. a jackson might, oh yes, but a JS, never. as for the champagne model, i have never played it. but, it does use the bridge joe uses personally, so, i suggest you try it out. plus, it has a sweet finish.....

Thanks to Joe's music, I feel that my life has become a bit more bearable- I have manic depression and some mornings I don't even feel like getting out of bed, but then I put on his music and it kind of gives me a reason to keep going, and get up. Sounds sad probably, but I have a lot to thank him for. The power and meaning of his music has made me realise that yes, life is very important, and I should look forward to tomorrow. Thanks.

Happy saturday to all!!
Well, I went to the tattoo shop and I found a "shamrock" that I liked. But the guy did'nt want to put it on my arm, he said it was too small and that I should save that area for something bigger. So he suggested that I put it on the inside of my wrist....which I did :) I have to say that the pain that everyone talks about is totally overrated, it stung a little bit , but was definately tolerable.
Michelle, yes he had some real nice celtic drawings and I might consider going back sometime and having a big one done on my arm.
To that T2J'r who asked me what part of Ireland I'm from? Well, I've never been there myself...lol, but my relatives arrived at Ellis Island in the early 1890's and moved to Boston. I'm pretty sure that they came from County Cork in Ireland.....Have a good weekend everyone!!!

PhrygianDominant - Strange Stutiful... LOL, that's pretty funny. ;-)
guitaurus - LOL, I think I've confused you a lot. I'm not going to the show in LA, I'm seeing Joe in Concord. I've driven the Sacramento to LA drive many times before, though, because I go to college down there. Hehe. Sorry about not making sense. And just FYI, your "one that's like the very last song on FIABD with that slap bass intro!" is The Bells Of Lal (Part 2)
ovation1 - "The Urge II Stu"... I like it!!! LOL, thanks. I'll make the change a few days. I don't want to do it before tomorrow's concert or I'll confuse a lot of people that I'm trying to meet there...LOL.
O Power - The webmaster set up a contest on the site where you're entered in a drawing if you filled out a set list. If you can't edit your list now it's probably because he froze everything so he can pick the winners.
Tommy N Teri - Joe and Dream Theater don't play full sets on this tour. They each get 90 minutes. You can catch Joe later this fall on his own, with the usual 2 1/2 - 3 hour show, though.
kell - Thanks for your answers about the set list. I'm sure a lot of us here appreciate your help.
Christyleena - That doesn't sound sad. It's wonderful to hear how Joe's music can help people. What songs of his have helped you the most?
...Austin...

I haven't read many posts recently, so I'll apologise in advance in case somebody has already written this. Total Guitar Magazine have just done a "vote for your favourite guitarists of all time" competition for their hundredth issue. Joe came sixth, which is really something considering he isn't mainstream. He was beaten by Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Slash and Brian May.
There was also an interview with Joe about SBM. It says that every string on New Last Jam is tuned to E - that's something I would never have thought of.

Hi everyone!! i'd just like to ask how was the performance by Dream Theater? I know all you guys are really hyper about Joe's set and all, but i'm a big DT fan as well and just like to know how you all responded to DT music. No one has said much about them right?
Nonsmoker --- sorry if i'm being silly, but what is a "shamrock?"
christyleena --- amazing stuff! i sorta get what you mean, cos Joe's music has really helped me through some tough times as well. And often, his music expresses feelings i can't find outlets for. Still, i don't really see some kinda colourful laser ight show when i hear his music ( eh Naty?) LOL

hey folks
Nonsmoker Oh....county cork - very nice, right at the opposite end of Ireland from me though :) - I was going to suggest meeting up at joe's next concert in Dublin, but I guess you'll not be there :(
Austin They Stu him because they love him!!
btw - I did my first proper impro practice yesterday and tonight - I went to my gran's and just had to take my guitar, I didn't take any music though, so I just started playing around with chords then playing the notes all jumbled up etc - I tried to play some of joe's stuff by ear (although I wasn't that great or fast, I was pleased that I didn't use tabs) :)
Please humour me, I know a lot of you guys are superb guitarists in TTJ :)

Seems odd that people who visit this page don't mind paying 35+ bucks to see a 3 band show (for example, the Dio/Scorpions/Deep Purple show), and yet they feel "cheated" by Joe doing a triple bill. Now, could this be because Joe has accustomed us to another show format? The very first time I saw Joe was in 96, the G3 tour. For the past 6 years I have not seen him play with other BANDS, so that might be it. (I know he toured with Derek Trucks, so I ain't saying he hasn't done it; I just didn't see it).
Personally, while I really enjoyed the Evening with Joe format, I saw it live 3 times, and I can put on the DVD whenever I feel the urge for 2+ hrs of Joe, so I'm really looking forward to this tour.
Now, if the winter tour has a setlist that includes less than 5 of the songs on the DVD, that would kick major @ss.
At any rate, I guess for now it's better to enjoy King's X and Dream Theater while we're there. I'll admit that I really like DT, so my opinion is probably biased.
Hi to all and to all a good night. SEE YOU WEDNESDAY JOE!
