"You're All individuals!"

"YES WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS!"

"err I'm not!"

Does anyone have a tab for the solos of Steve Vai's "The Crying Machine"? I don't mean just the beginning bits, I play them by ear, I just give up and make random stuff up poorly when it comes to the trade off solos, so i want to learn them... anyone have them transcribed? Let me know if so

Joe, your performance at the Tabernacle on Saturday was truly soul stirring and sublime. It was a truly wonderful and unforgettable evening. I was very pleasantly surprised to hear you play Midnight, it is one of my favorites of your compositions. I think I also heard a few strains from I Am Become Death when you were getting accustomed to the new guitar. The entire show was very special. Even when you are playing with a soar throat, a new guitar, and righteous indignation towards tobacco companies; you still da man.

A friend of mine got turned away because he was one month shy of 21. Your words and actions against what Winston did mean a lot to all of us. Thank you.

Hi Joe. Just wanted to drop in and say That I think it is rediculous that somebody would steal your guitar. What is this...the third time it has happened........

I'm sending you a resume. I will be your guitar security guard.

I will handle it like a baby, and I will give it a Brinks case. And get a chain and connect myself to it night, and day if thats what it takes to keep your guitars from getting stolen.

It will kinda be like your guitar has its own secret service. I will take a bullet, or maybe in the guitars case (a bottle or something some A-hole fan would throw at it on stage)

Anyways keep me in mind :-)

Can't wait until the Cleveland show. I will be there, in the front row Center, with the other guitardeds, sporting one of your shirts that I will definitely have to buy at the show.

Hey Webmaster Luini, Is there any possible way you could fix the backstage contest. HA HA HA HAHA. I have some crisp Monopoly Money, that would look good in your pocket!

On the subject of the "Bad Horsie" wah. I tried one once and was impressed with it, it has a very distinct sound. The one downside of the pedal for me, is the fact that it shuts off when your foot is removed. I like to take advantage of the many tones that my Vox wah has when I leave it in different positions. If there was a way to adjust the BH to do this, I would buy one!

Joe, I was going to drive to Milwaukee tonight to see your show, but it's an 8.5 hour drive one way and I would'nt make it in time. Maybe Minneapolis on your "evening with" tour? :) That's only a 4 hour drive for me....

Still praying that your "Pearly" shows up!!!

I have had the privilege of meeting and spending about 5 minutes with Mr. Satriani, and I must say that I know why his music touches so many people from such diverse backgrounds. He is a simple, honest individual who obviously puts his heart and soul into his music for all of us to enjoy. That is a rare commodity, honesty. It's shameful that the world does not adhere to that principal. I hope that the actions of the idiot in Clearwater doesn't keep us from getting to see Joe live. I met him in Jacksonville the night before, and it was a treat.

Joe, the new stuff is awesome. I still listen to Surfin' all the time. Big fan. I hope to meet you again real soon.

Kinda glad I didn't make the Atlanta show. Would have brought my son, and someone would have probably needed bail money for the fit I would have pitched when they said that he couldn't go in, and I couldn't get my money back.

Hi everyone. I've been thinking. Joe doesn't use the guitar at all when he does the harmonic scream. That scream is actually the voice of his alien inner-self.

njbeast - Pick any Dream Theater album that you want to...you really can't go wrong. Images And Words is probably their best. If you want a nice cross-section of their career, get the 3 disc live set from last year. Or, if you want to hear a side of Dream Theater that sounds more like Joe Satriani, get the two albums from the Liquid Tension Experiment (I and II). LTE is made up of the guitarist, keyboard player, and drummer from DT, as well as another bass player.

Phydeaux 3 - Yes, Joe is playing Mind Storm on this tour.
PaulEMoz - If you won backstage passes you should have received an email with instructions. If you didn't get it, maybe you can email the webmaster. Basically, you have to bring ID to the will call window and tell them that your name is on the backstage pass list. They'll give you your passes and tell you where to go after the show.
anuj - Thanks for the Fire Strings link.
coolnumbernine - Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Joe uses D'Addario strings (9-42).
