I heard that Steve Vai was a student of yours,is there any truth to the rumor? I really enjoyed your latest CD but my wife feels that a 49 year old should be listening to something a little more my age haha. Keep up the great stringwork and great talent........

Ok, time for my dumb Joe question... I've been meaning to ask this for a while, so here goes...

Joe - Shades... what brand of shades do you were on stage. I totally dig'm big time! I too wear sunglasses onstage, always have. Over the years it's become a kind of security blanket and a near requirement, partly due to the fact that my eyes are closed 1/2 the time I'm onstage playing. Without the shades, I kind of look like a blind epileptic when I'm playing. Now I know it sounds silly, but I was wondering if you wore yours for similar reasons or is it just the "cool" factor.

Optically curious,

Ray - RDG

Dear Joe,

You have greatly affected many people's lives in England this week with your song 'I believe' from Flying in a blue dream. My father was a great fan of yours- I recently saw you in Dublin this year with him. He'd do anything not to miss a concert of yours- and instilled a passion for your music in me. I'm 19. Sadly he suddenly died last week of a heart attack at 51 and I found my belief wavered. Then, I checked my e mails and he had sent me the beautiful lyrics to your song two days before he died. i now have a sense that everthing is going to be ok. I dont know where your lyrics for 'I believe' were inspired from but I think they I so beautiful and that song will stay with me as a connection to my dad forever. Thankyou, Lauren Newman :)

sharon - I can I can't!!!!! that's one of the funniest bits in my opinion.

non-smoker - well i couldn't get it workign before on 45600 but i could get the download of QT6 working, at least, then he's got a chance.. but yeah if he does have a poor connection, it's gonna be even harder to get the webcast going

j3dimaster - Al though I agree, Getright is great, dead simple but works without making stupid gorilla noises, unless you download from a mirror, QT6 is downloaded with by it's own installation program

wdkeck - Steve Vai was taught by Joe when young, as Austin so aptly pointed out. They still seem to be good friends and do the G3 thing.

the_crippler - I think the word is.... no- you seen him in Goldmember ;)

Webmaster extrodinaire, jon luini part 3 works better than the other bits have, I assume with the re-encoding- everyone else, check out how the 3rd part of the webcast works for you, cause it's much better for me (though still unwatchable really)

stu not boo

I'm pretty sure they're eyejacket's

I've tried on some oakleys and straight jackets have more squarish frames - eyejackets are the rounded ones

oakley also have the very nice 'pennies' but they are super expensive!!!

Ok.... Satch has been my source of inspiration for all the years I've played guitar. I can ALL of his songs that i've heard, but my only concern is how the f*** I make a JS sound that matches his on my board. I've got a Boss Gt-5, if anyone should wonder, IF ANY ONE ANSWERS THIS FREAKIN' LETTER. My e-mail is Satch@yngwie.com Joe is the greatest guitarist on this planet.

HEY this is to CHRISCEC

The only way to find out is to try. I think the two main differences you will find is that the jem has jumbo frets, the js1000 does not, and the js has 2 less frets. Find a js1000 or a js100 (both the same setup) and try.

Regards
