JOE, ARE YOU THAT IN GET SHORTY? (23:26-23:32)

Joe, I send you this message (Fr Aug 23) again, that you hopefully don´t miss something amazing. I could believe that I saw YOU in your BROWN LEATHER JACKET together with SIMON PHILLIPS and maybe STU in the background of the MOVIE "GET SHORTY" with John Travolta, Rene Russo and Gene Hackman.

At one scene (23:26-23:32) at the airport with the little man Jajo Portio, who watches after the secret police-agent with a pistol in his trousers I could imagine that this is you sittin´ in the background at some plants with open hairs at that moment as he changes from one chair to the other.

Best wishes that you get PEARLY back soon. Look always straight at EBAY. A quarter of a year my JS100 and my Vester JJR 1040 were stolen. They have really personal worth for me, so I´m sure that it´s like your feeling to Pearly. And if you have 100 guitars and someone steals you 1 (3) of them you still have a big personal feeling to that one guitar.

Stu - roaches are bionic. When you stomp them to bits, sweep up the parts and sling them in the trash, they re-assemble themselves. When you're not looking and come scampering out and make you stomp them all over again.. They just love it..It's kinda extreme sport roachie fashion... I would suggest using nukes but that'll just bust up your room and they'll still survive....

Teach them to shred and jam with them... or take them to ride the half pipes....

Be at one with your infestation...

Cockroaches... yuk, I just had one crawling on my shoulder earlier on... I wanted to jump into a pool of dissinfectant! I was out on the streets on a rainy day! Sick! This has to be the grossest thing that happened to me!

MAK - on my IUMA site under 'biography' is a pic of the rigg that I used to write and sketch The Raft of the Medusa [and the rest of my new album]. It is in a hotel room in the UK.... this means that I could take a much larger rigg than the one I used for the IUMA tunes [as they were done in various European countries - jet planes means keeping the weight down to a Zoom and 2 MD players]. laters bro..

Greetings! I'm new here...thank you very much for having me! I've got kind of a silly request: I play lead guitar in a semi-pro cover band and I would like to go as Joe for our Halloween gig. I've shaved my head for the past 5-6 years and I've played an Ibanez exclusively since 1989 so it seemed like a good fit. On the cover photo for "Crystal Planet," what brand of sunglasses is Joe wearing? What brand/ style of shirt and pants? Thanks so much! Scott

top stuff webmaster. I await it eagerly.

Neil - I'm pretty strange. I was brought up on Monty Python, Spike Milligan, Bonzo Dog Doo-dah band Red Dwarf and Blackadder. So a bit of it comes from that, but I think the funniest (and weirdest) person in the television business is Armando Ianucci. Producer of all the Alan Partridge stuff (including the day today) and the friday night armistice, and the armando ianucci shows... anyway, I'll stop rambling.

Joe RULES!

MRS. BIG NOSE: Don't pick your nose. MR. BIG NOSE: I wasn't picking my nose. I was scratching. MRS. BIG NOSE: You was picking it, while you was talking to that lady. MR. BIG NOSE: I wasn't! MRS. BIG NOSE: Leave it alone. Give it a rest. MR. CHEEKY: Do you mind? I can't hear a word he's saying. MRS. BIG NOSE: Don't you 'do you mind' me. I was talking to my husband. MR. CHEEKY: Well, go and talk to him somewhere else. I can't hear a bloody thing. MR. BIG NOSE: Don't you swear at my wife. MR. CHEEKY: I was only asking her to shut up, so I can hear what he's saying, Big Nose. MRS. BIG NOSE: Don't you call my husband 'Big Nose'! MR. CHEEKY: Well, he has got a big nose. GREGORY: Could you be quiet, please? JESUS: They shall have the earth... GREGORY: What was that? JESUS: ...for their possession. How blest are those... MR. CHEEKY: I don't know. I was too busy talking to Big Nose. JESUS: ...who hunger and thirst to see... MAN #1: I think it was 'Blessed are the cheesemakers.' JESUS: ...right prevail. MRS. GREGORY: Ahh, what's so special about the cheesemakers? GREGORY: Well, obviously, this is not meant to be taken literally. It refers to any manufacturers of dairy products. MR. CHEEKY: See? If you hadn't been going on, we'd have heard that, Big Nose. JESUS: How blest are those who... MR. BIG NOSE: Hey. Say that once more; I'll smash your bloody face in. MRS. GREGORY: Ohh. MR. CHEEKY: Better keep listening. Might be a bit about 'Blessed are the big noses.' BRIAN: Oh, lay off him. MR. CHEEKY: Oh, you're not so bad yourself, Conkface. Where are you two from? Nose City? MR. BIG NOSE: One more time, mate; I'll take you to the fuckin' cleaners! MRS. BIG NOSE: Language! JESUS: ...hunger and thirst to see... MRS. BIG NOSE: And don't pick your nose. JESUS: ...right prevail. MR. BIG NOSE: I wasn't going to pick my nose. I was going to thump him! MAN #2: You hear that? Blessed are the Greek. GREGORY: The Greek? MAN #2: Mmm. Well, apparently, he's going to inherit the earth. GREGORY: Did anyone catch his name? MRS. BIG NOSE: You're not going to thump anybody. MR. BIG NOSE: I'll thump him if he calls me 'Big Nose' again. MR. CHEEKY: Oh, shut up, Big Nose. MR. BIG NOSE: Ah! All right. I warned you. I really will slug you so hard-- MRS. BIG NOSE: Oh, it's the meek! Blessed are the meek! Oh, that's nice, isn't it? I'm glad they're getting something, 'cause they have a hell of a time. MR. CHEEKY: Listen. I'm only telling the truth. You have got a very big nose. MR. BIG NOSE: Hey. Your nose is going to be three foot wide across your face by the time I've finished with you! MAN #1 and MAN #2: Shhh. MR. CHEEKY: Well, who hit yours, then? Goliath's big brother? MR. BIG NOSE: Oh. Right. That's your last warning.
