Okay, I couldn't even get the damn alternator out of the car. The bolt attaching the bloody thing to the rest of the engine block thingy was too tight. So I can bend steel with the bare fingers of my left hand, but I can't even loosen a 15mm bolt.
I'd like to propose a toast to all those involved with the terrible events of this day last year, and especially to the families and friends of the victims, and double especially (?) to those who sacrificed their own lives to save those of others. I'm not an American but I can still feel shock and terror at how sick some people are. That said, I don't think we should use this date as an annual "hate muslims day" (not that it seems anybody has). There's just no way that could be justified. Then again, at the back of my mind, I think that might be what's fuelling President Bush's campaign against Iraq. He seems to be a war-mad psycho, and I don't think Tony Blair should stick quite so close to him on this one. I rarely turn on my political head, but I feel it had to be done this time.
Anyway, laters.
Neil

It's me again..... been up since 5:00 am local time. Sleep was out of the question.
Michelle - (smiling) - thanks for your post. I can only hope that eventually we (humans) will evolve out of this self destructive behavior. We can be better than this and we know it. - At least some of us... - Sounds like the show was a blast. I can visualize your description very clearly. 8-)
He's a true Zen Guitar Master - If there ever was one. - Great Soul, he is.
JS CLone - This might seem obvious, but have you changed the saddle blocks? How tight are you crankin' them down? I don't know if you've already mentioned this. After a couple years or so, I change my blocks.
Be well, and keep the hope alive.
My songs for today..... "For the Love of God" and of course, "I Believe"

Michelle - well said there, as a doggie person don't forget the pooches who also risked their lives pulling people out of the wreckage and suffered injuries themselves doing their work. The story about the SAR dogs is quite moving. It all seems so unbelievable even now. At work we can all remember where we were and what we were doing on the 11th, still can't believe it all.
Local Person - Andy has a new guitar tutor, the other fella is now too bogged down with pupils. His new tutor sounds like the character that auditions Pam Doove from the League of Gents, he's very cool cool. ha ha.
I have some daft stuff to post when I find the time.

I'd like to take a minute like Michelle and say God Bless American and God Bless Humanity. It's been a tough year, but we got through it.
ovation1 - Thanks for the dishwashing liquid / cockroach thing. I'll go buy some next time I go to the store.

Hi Joe. I live in Scotland and I've loved your stuff for years. Flying in a blue dream is still my favorite album. I was at your gig in Glasgow at the Barrowlands back in May 92 - amazing! It was weird because my dog died that day and I was feeling pretty bad but I went to the gig and it totally cheered me up. Thanks. I hope your coming over soon.
All the best
Graeme
p.s. Hope you get your guitar back.

Cool site. I'm a new member. I just missed the show at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Pavillion(no babysitter) I heard it was an incredible show! I'm sure I will catch Joe sometime soon. It is my mission!
Very Special Thanks to Joe for all the inspiration and great music over the years. I've been a big fan since the Surfing days.
