Hi, Joe! Well...it's Sept. 11 and after watching only 1 hr. or so of the media coverage today I was a mess. I'm thanking God for my smooth life right now - I just can't imagine the pain of being any closer to the situation than I am...and I'm just anyone. I didn't lose anyone! On one hand, I'm glad their remembering, but I just feel so bad for all the victim's families having to relive it all marathon-style!! Thank you, Joe, for the solace you provided today - I escaped with "Engines" and was reminded what a different but magical CD that is! Admittedly, the first few times I listened to it (except for certain tunes), I was afraid of the techno feel, but you blended it so flawlessly with your own style and it just keeps growing on me! I was all set to pick "Champagne?" for my song of the day, but then "Clouds...' came on and I melted. I'm afraid that one takes it....again! Love it ALL though. See ya' Friday night in Jersey - break a leg (but not really please).

Death Cube - You tilt your Edge forward? Messed up, cause jemsite recommends you tilt your Edge back to prolong string life.

If your BSB is in Very good + condition I'd say just over $1000 USD. I've seen them go for that much if not quite a bit more. They are a little more rare than most other Jems and also harder to keep in good condition what with there being no finish on the paint on that particular JEM.

Peanutlover, that's the press for you. I couldn't believe NBC had a running schedule flash on the bottom of the screen throughout the braodcast this morning ~ "passengers on flight blah, blah, blah have just boarded the plan. ~ passengers on flight blah, blah, blah were now moving freely about the cabin." Man! I did NOT have to have a step by step run on all that!! I was home that day and seen the entire horror as it was happening on tv. I didn't need to know every single detail of the last moments of the victims lives. It's to much man. It's just to much! I watched about 3-4 hrs. this morning. I had tears streaming down my face almost the entire time. It's still so sad. I can't begin to imagine how the poor souls must feel who witnessed all this destruction of human life. I simply can't imagine...

js clone 1 yeah it sounds weird but ibanez suggest to tilt forward to prolong string life(only on edge trems). it has worked so far! take it easy all.

Yep, here if you say 9/11 it either means a poor man's version of SevenEleven, or the 9th of November. ...And I don't think that there should be a war against Iraq (again) yet until there is concrete evidence that they are intending to cause some kind of violence. Remember that the USA has more than enough "weapons of mass destruction" to destroy the whole world.

Just a thought. Peace cannot be achieved by war. War will only create further conflict in the future. Think about it: Israelis and Palestinians are still fighting after millennia.

...on the political backburner...BEN

PS if everyone would just listen to Satch, then there would be no need to argue...we'd be too busy air guitarin' away...

akreepish1 - I love that joke. 10 types of people...hehe. So how long do you think it'll be before someone says "I don't get it."? ;-)

For Adun - Yeah, we have enough nukes to destroy the world several times over. Russia can do the same thing, and so can a few other countries. The thing is, though, we aren't planning on using them right now. Our military has moved beyond that. Did you know that the stealth bombers that were bombing Afghanistan last year took off from Missouri and reached their targets without having to refuel? When we can do that we don't need to use nukes.

Saddam has been trying to develop nukes for years. I know that he's going to try to nuke the USA as soon as possible...that's been obvious for a while. If he doesn't do it, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sell one to bin Ladin. I don't really want to wait and see if that happens.

Sorry for getting political...

Oh, so you KNOW, wow, you sound pretty sure of yourself.

Even if S. Hussein is far from being an angel and a good person, he knows he has no chance if he starts something against anybody with nukes.

I don't know why people keep on thinking that WW 3 is going to be nuclear. IT simply can't, and won't. full stop.

nuclear power is about fear, not action. Once people really understand that, maybe we will find solutions that actually work.

as you said : "sorry for getting political", but I majored in economics/politics, so i think i can throw in my 20 yens of knowledge.

cheers.

Well, it seems that a lot of people in the Middle East don't care about what happens as long as they kill as many Americans as possible. That's one of the reasons why 9/11/01 happened the way it did. I hope I'm wrong, but I can see Saddam acting the same way as bin Ladin and his men.

Sorry again...

Oh, please don't make it sound like you're the ever oppressed victims !!!

what happened last year was a disaster, no question. it was horrible.

but they attacked the symbol of the occidental culture, not ONLY you americans ! their action was more about destabilizing occidentals. The fact that USA represents somehow the peak of that culture and that they chose USA as their target doesn't mean they don't want to hit other countries ...

Sorry that you were the chosen targets, but please don't generalize and be paranoid !!! Heck, you NEVER had a worldwide war on YOUR territory.

to everyone.....look....what happened last year is indeed horrible and should be commemerated..but...do we need to have arguements in here about whether we should go to war or not?..from what i have read and seen...Bush and Blair are the only people to want war on Iraq...talking on here about that will not make any difference unless they read this everyday wich i doubt...so...this is the Talk To Joe section of satch.com and we should discuss music and not war....music brings us together in one big happy family..war does not...it casues hatred and insecurity and someone will eventually end up saying something they will regret....so..lets stop this before mistakes are made and lets get back to talking about music..joe..and other things.... thanks.

These are the results of a scientific experment conducted by me..

if you apply a naked flame from a cigar lighter or a match to a cockroach they die and then burst into flames....

the temperatures involved in a nuclear reaction are quite a lot higher than my lighter flame.....

take note all ye roaches....... being a roach is no guarantee that you'll survive the next big war.......

LMAO Clarky!!!! Very interesting experiment......Were you using a gigar or cigar ;-) ........The Government has spent trillions on cockroach research and have come to no solid conclusions....Clarky uses a $1 (What's the UK equiv.?) Bic lighter and saves mankind from these terribly disgusting creatures!!!! LOL Clarky, I think we got a movie on our hands here!! Steven Spielberg might be interested ;-)

js clone 1- I always was told to set my floyd rose trems parralell to the guitar body. Doing that decreased string breakage & made the tuning rock solid no matter how much abuse I put the trem through. I ususally end up breaking the high E string on my steinburger once a month but thats due to extreme pitch bends(4th - 5th up) so take a look at what you're doing at the time of the break.

Just remember-War does not determine who wins, but who is left!....About yesterday,I don't mean to sound insensitive. No doubt it was a very terrible thing to happen but all the going on & on about September 11th was a little too much.Talk about beating a dead horse...Re-opening old wounds & rubbing salt in it......It has been going on all week long...........with no end in sight. If I hear another thing about 9/11/01,I'll go crazy!...I hate it when the media dwells on that stuff.....Time to move on.......Now,What is the air velocity of an African Swallow?...jblaze1
