Nonsmoker No prob. It's cleverly written how they want to you "not focus on one spot but look around the table". Makes you believe there might actually be something there. I actually looked at it 3 times not letting it get anywhere long enough. Then I got brave and tried once more. I didn't have ym sound on either. When it flashed I just didn't react, but a wave of terror went through me internally. That was something.

Hehe, thanks guys :). I guess I will try each and see what happens.

Toronto sounds like a pretty happening place, I travel up around there a lot from here in Buffalo, and have always considered making the move when I get the cash. Sounds like it would be a good career choice (not to mention I am and always will be a city girl!)

Mr. Nick: I'll join the chat room when I can, I am still hopelessly addicted to this online game called EverQuest, I suppose I will have to re-download the program that let's me play that game in a window so I can do some serious net surfing and chatting. (I've enjoyed the few times I popped into the chat :D ). Aside from lack of musical activity in this city, that game is another reason why I don't get as much time to play anymore. My advice: If you want to play an online game, expect yourself to advance only a month with your playing in a years time..so don't do it!

That's kuul Rich/ JS Clone1....Metal Demo is good, especially for being a demo :-)....Keep on rockin' dude!!

masterdrummer1: John Bonham did sound like a giant! If you listen hard enough you can even hear the squeak coming from his kit..Zep had some interesting recording techniques.. I read somewhere that they would have John in one room, and they'd have the speakers in the hallway and record like that (something to that effect)....Kinda giving an echo-ish sound....

Have a great weekend all, /\/\ike

Well guys, the concert was a blast. My performance was later on in the evening, so I had the lights on me :D yay!

The audience really encouraged my performance as well...They were real loud I tell ya...about 2000 people.

For the song I was performing, I chose to sit down in center stage. Sitting down allows me to play better, because the guitar is alot closer to me....intimacy is good sometimes ;)

Me, the typical guitarist...after the song, I got up during the crowd roaring and bowed, and threw my pick into the crowd...hahahaha

Cheers, Nick

Joe,

from about 1993 onwards I started to listen to yours and Steve Vai's music whilst at the same time starting to learn to play guitar myself, just like you did when you first heard Hendrix. As I've worked my way through buying your music over the years I can see alot of changes in the way you write your songs. I think your playing is getting too fast in some ways. Alot of the material on earlier albums I hear more melodically and than for example your latest release. I'm not critisizing your music, I would never dream of as you have such a talent. Personally I prefer the slowed songs you have wrote, such as 'New Blues', 'Love Thing'. I think there is a tendancy these days to get too crazy on the guitar, and forget that melody/soul matters just as much as speed/technique

Sorry for getting quite deep on things, I just wanted to have a word to the great Joe Satriani!

Congratulation's Nick Lee, sounds like you had a great performance!! I hope you won!! Satch would be proud...BTW, as you may know, there has not been anyone from the Great White North that has caused a rucus down in the U.S. since Rick Emmit and Alex Lifeson (that I know of)....Are you ready to stir it up...lol!!

Phrygian Dominant: I haven't heard a hide or hare about Fire Strings either!! Cept' what was in Young Guitar last month.... All that hype and only a short one page article :-(

With that in mind, Mr. VAI's "Brandos Costumes" sounds like a great song of the day!! Listen to it...Really concentrate on the chords and tell me it doesn't take you to another place!! :-)

Peace all, /\/\ike

Hey Joe,

I saw you at the AJ last night, and as usual you were great. The sound in that venue is terrible though. I couldn't even hear the vocals of DT. Also, your set was way too short. I wish you would have played some more. Thanks for coming to the BURGH!!!

Congrats Nick on your performance, throwing your pick into the crowd shows everyone "who's the boss"...lol. At our band practice, if we get through a song with no problems and it sounds good, we throw our picks at each other...ha ha

Joe, have fun playing in your old "stomping grounds" tonight :)

Deathcube:I hear ya!:)...I guess all brands have good & bad ones.Just like a car.I used to have an RG Ibanez that was not too great either.Constantly fidgeting with the intonation so I sold it.On the other hand,My Universe has the same body style as the RG.No problems so far.Same thing with Bridges too. Some are flawless & some are not....lol.....:)I gotta say one thing,I have a '78 Strat & a Les Paul Standard that I was constantly replacing the Volume/tone knobs because they get scratchy after a while. The knobs on the Universe are soooooooo smooth & scratch free after 9 years.I am impressed:)............jblaze1
