Clarky: Are you playing at Jemfest U.K. this year?? If you are, you should hook up with Ricky Garcia as he'll be there this year (if you don't already know him)!! He's also an awesome player, and I think you guy's could make a killer trade-off instrumental!!
Peace, /\/\ike

Phrygian Dominant: I don't drink because I don't like booze, and I find it wrong as long as so many drunk people cause car accidents were others die. And, besides, some drunk people turn violent (maybe manifesting a hidden violent behaviour), some others turn unable to think of what they're saying and regret afterwards.
I think most people drink cos they have some reason, cos they need it, but still I think there are better ways to fix troubles. Drinking doesn't resolve troubles, it only makes everything worse.
That's what I think.

Hi there, a Satch fan from aus here.
Just wondering if you guys at the site ever thought (or have) of making some desktop wallpapers of Joe? - like some album covers in quality high res or some road pics, or whatever. That'd be cool.
Also, along the same sorta lines (i dunno how this sounds, I just thought it up) how about Joe making some little solo pieces that could be used as pc noises (eg startup theme, message alert, incoming mail). Just a .wav file a couple of seconds long...
There's some ideas from me.
Thanks a bunch
ps. is it just me, or does nobody like Up in the sky?

Fabulous time in New Jersey last night - is this guitar player the best, or what? No one else's playing can put a smile on my face like the one I had yesterday (in fact, it's still there!)

I nominate jblaze to the job of gaurding Joe Satriani's guitars. think of it though -- there really aren't that many MORE people on this website who would gaurd those guitars like jblaze would. i know this guy, you can trust him. He would guard those guitars with his life. and plus, he would have the time of his life hanging out with you, Joe...
To the Australian guy new on this board -- that sounds like a really cool idea.. windows sounds and whatnot. have you tried putting pictures from the road on your desktop? there are a couple really awesome ones you ought to check out. and no, i don't think "Up in the sky" sucks, i think it is one of Joe's most hardcore songs he has ever put out. plus, the solo ROCKS ALL!!! speaking of which, i just bought a fulltone ultimate octave on ebay!! everyone cheer for me, because that is one NASTY little unit, you have to admit. just listen to the "crystal planet" or "w/ Jupiter in mind" soloes...

hey guys...
can anybody here remember the first time they head joe's music? and what the song was?
i was in my year 10 english class in 1990, when my mate gives me his walkman and says "listen to this - it'll blow you away!!". i did, and i've been hooked ever since.
the song i heard that blew me away: ONE BIG RUSH!!!
it was a couple of years later when i picked up the guitar.
just wondering... cheers...

Get a Loaf: I am really speechless!......Thank you soooo much for the vote of trust & confidence:)....I really would love to do that for JOE.Right now I still don't have work & am getting quite desperate.Plus,I have no ties to keep me from doing that sort of work.No wife or kids.No particular career to look forward to.It would be the best thing that ever happened to me by a long shot.I was hoping that JOE would consider it seriously. Not too many people are in the position I am in now to up & go on a moments notice to do this.I can leave tommorow if I had to.Maybe we can do the Major Tom thing & hold a vote?...lol...Come on everybody!....Vote for jblaze1 to guard such priceless treasures...............Please JOE!!!!! You won't be sorry:) jblaze1

JBLAZE1: you are one determined dude for that job ,we all see that, i would have you watch my @#$% if i were in joes shoes, but dude consider one thing, who is it that handles things for joe now, and is he a very reliable person, you know how @#$% happens, that fast even. wonder if you sent joe a registered letter stating what it is you want to do for him & your situation, maybe he would appreciate the fact you have went this route as to not put him on the spot about security with him. just a thought dude. you have my vote!!!

Well, I'm going to see RDG tonight at the Whisky in Hollywood. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it was.
Schiacciatore - I've been meaning to make a few JS collage desktops, but I've never gotten around to it. Oh, and I love Up In The Sky.
kinger - The first place I heard Joe would've been in the movie Problem Child 2. I think Satch Boogie is the song that's in the movie. However, I didn't know it was Joe at the time. I became an Eric Johnson fan through a friend of mine, and ended up buying the G3 CD. So those were the first songs that I heard. My favorite was Summer Song.
thegoose - Happy Birthday!
