Hi Joe, I've been a fan for years. I have every cd, video, dvd and I also own one of your style Guitars. I've been waiting ever since your Flying In A Blue Dream Tour for you to come back to Winnipeg, but no luck. So, my fiance and I travelled to Toronto to see you on August 31/02. She had also won backstage passes off of this web site to meet you. But, when we left on the Wednesday before the show, she had not yet received the message that we had won. So, alas, we did not know when we were down there, that we had passes to see you. When we got back and found out, I was very disappointed. The show was amazing and I'm glad that we went. I bought a T-shirt and a Mug, my fiance bought a Keychain. She was disappointed that you don't have womens T-shirts and thought that I should tell you. Is there anything you can do for either situation? Thanks.

i was bored in school today..so i looked for some decent guitar lessons...clarky..-dont worry..i think some people will need you to explain the basics to understand the complicated stuff (possibly)shown on these sites :

guitar lessons by satch, vai, petruci, eric johnson, and others...

some tabs-and lots of them!!

this may work...the computers at school were rubbish and so it took too long to load up..hopefully it should work on your nice fast ones at home.

ENJOY!!

edit: ok..that last one doesn't work..dont know why...

Yo I know I'm on the late show but I FINALLY got the new album. I love it as always. all the emotion that JS can put into a song without any vocals never ceases to amaze me.

jsclone1-joe had said something on the webcast about the seven string guitar being confusing.....i know he was joking by the way he played it.....i thought that was what he was saying..i had just gotten home from school and could have been mistaken though....i definatly meant no insult to joe i thought that he was joking....anyway oh i read the other post and that was what joe said something about ibanez trying to confuse him....fat chance..... Clarky-i'm following you so far.....could you get to improvisation in one of those excerpts...i'd like to hear your thoughts on that....i like what you have so far.... Today I let this guy listen to Joe and Vai.....he has only been playing for two weeks...kind of fun to watch sensory overload in person....it is so much fun...he'll go home and think about what he heard and then stop playing for a second and think Holy Sh*( those guys were Fu*(en awsome.....I think I've paid my debt to society now let me go officer I didn't do no one no harm.....his head exploded when I showed up....

kinger - I don't think I'd be able to do something daily or over weekly... it's all about time.... however I am printing what I've done so I can keep the story pretty continuous... and I will post this stuff as and when I can.. # : )

Mr Nick - my aim here is an attempt to lay down some solid foundations for folks... once the basics are nicely understood then the funky stuff is much easier to get your head around.... I won't claim to be a guru or definative authority so I don't have all of the answers but what I do know is pretty solid....

masterdrummer - once we get down the basics... scales, chords, modes etc then I see no reason why we should not explore this in practicle terms... like how to expand on compositional and improvisational ideas..... maybe at a later time I'll be able to demonstrate some of the ideas and post them on my IUMA site... right now this is not possible though because I am prepping for Jemfest UK and righting / recording my album.... once all of that's out of the way I'll have much more free time.... I'll do everything that I possibly can though....

masterdrummer - one more thing with respect to your friend and Satch / Vai... this is a little something I did for fun..... on my IUMA site, album 3 is a track called Speaking in Tongues... it's my own little imagination playing a game.... "what if Satch played over a Vai track????".... and this is how I imagined that it would sound..... within my own capabilities that is...lol lol

Hey Joe, I was just trying to find out what model Satriani Ibanez Guitar I have. I went to the Ibanez Web Site, but it doesn't seem to be listed on there. It's a charcoal grey specked color. On the neck it says, "JS CUSTOM" but there's no model number. The serial # is 003253. Can you or anyone tell me what model I have?

stu hacking - Yeah, the bassline to The Bells Of Lal (Part 2) is AWESOME. The drums are pretty cool as well.

Clarky - It's so nice of you to help other people out like this.
pastel black - You can send stuff to Joe Satriani c/o Bill Graham Management. That address is on the site here somewhere. Look on the credits page or the copyright page.
njbeast - I've answered that question several times for you. The Japanese get bonus tracks to encourage them to buy the Japan version of an album instead of the cheaper imported US version.
masterdrummer1 - Fat chance? I was completely correct with what I said...read it again.

Hi Joe! I want to ask you, why won't you do your next cd with some instruments from other countries. Something like "Satriani Around the World. Brazilian Time". And you make your music with some instrument from Brazil and some brazilian rithims

Austin: I think he meant "fat chance" in it being true, and not that Joe said it. Damn, I thought I heard there were 3 seven string songs.

Chocoholic: I think the quote is "In the beginning there was chocolate, and it was good." What I was referring to was your massively long post about the fanshmastic things about being a woman, and the common verbal exchange of "you never listen to a word I say" "I'm listening right now" business.

Back later, I've got to go and see a dog about a man...
