Good morning all...
I have a question for any guitar tech's out there.....I'm replacing the stock humbucker in a Squier Fat Strat for a friend of mine, with an old PRS humbucker I've had for 10 years. I have the wiring diagram where it shows the placement of the black and white wires, but the PRS has a red wire also. What is the function of the red wire and what do I solder it to?
Webmaster Jon, I know I'm definately jumping the gun here, but has there been any talk of "evening with" tour dates?

Kinger: First Satch Experience - anyone remember that Speed Of Light is in the movie - Super Mario Brothers - this scene where they are sliding down a vent. way cool in a daggy kinda way. I bought the soundtrack!
Oh and I never said Up In The Sky was bad, its my absolute fave, just that noone else seems to hold it in as high regard.

NonSmoker - On some guitars, the red wire is to connect the rear pickup to the front pup is they have any sound configs together. For instance both pickups on or out of phase.

Hey Schiacciatore, that was my first satch experience as well... I bought the soundtrack and I thought: man, this is cool , this guys is doing a song without vocals, just guitar. And really cool licks in it. Then I went out and bought Surfing and the rest is history... lol

Joe (or Mr.Satriani, if you prefer),
I met you last week at your Pier 6 show in Balt, Md.
I got your autograph and gave you a copy of my, what you might call, out of my living room and to you demo cd. Just wondering if you got a chance to check it out. It was called 'Strings of Sanity' . By the way my name is Boyd Scott Kulick. I am a guitarist/Chef. Although, our styles are different , the influence you have had is still great, especially on my other songs/cds. I know you are very busy, but if you get a chance to listen and you have any comments, or suggestions, you can contact me at jeley@towson.edu.
Thanks for listening!
(keep up the unreal guitar playing)

Thanks JSC1, I'm assuming that connecting the red is an option. And since this guy uses the humbucker exclusively (I think he's tone deaf...lol), I don't need to connect the humbucker with either of the single coils. I'll double check before I do it and watch his guitar "light up Hendrix style" :)

Joe...... Please tell us how you really feel about bootleg stuff. Be honest please. How do you feel about it? How do you feel it has affected the music industry? How do you anticipate it affecting future music? How does it affect you?

Laugh of the Day.... LOL
PINOCCHIO had a human girlfriend who would sometimes complain about
splinters when they were having sex. Pinocchio, therefore, went to visit
Gepetto to see if he could help. Gepetto suggested he'd try a little
sandpaper wherever indicated and Pinocchio skipped away enlightened. A
couple of weeks later, Gepetto saw Pinocchio bouncing happily through town
and asked him, "How's the girlfriend?" Pinocchio replied, "Who needs a
girlfriend?"

"An Evening with Joe Satriani!" No Dream Theatre, nobody else except Joe and the band (bring back Stu-meistro and Eric C./ but hey... Gaylen & Matt do rock though!). Hit the Gorge Amphitheatre in The EverGREEN State and crank it F'N LOUD!!! Wake up the wind-surfers in the Columbia River Gorge just behind the stage!! An all GA (General Adminission) show!! Am I dreaming?? Maybe, but it sure sounds like a good idea to me!! CRYSTAL PLANET & LIVE in SF are the greatest! Thanks for the show in LA @ The Greek this year!
