Webmaster , i got me some broadband to watch the webcasts here in the UK. It's still not watchable. The apple thing has rarely worked and i know for sure now it's not the connection. Why you keep trying with them?

Is there a general poor vibe amongst some of the guitars in here regarding modes??????? If you wish... we can pull 'em appart and explain them in little bits at a time.... If there are folks in here that want to do this then just yell......

epiphoney - Go to the venue's website and you should be able to find local directions.
Mr Nick / XCrystal PlanetX - We all listen to you. If we don't reply to something you say it doesn't mean that we're ignoring you.

Hi all.
I have been a Satriani fan for over 10 years now and have been playing guitar for about 12/14 years. All those years I dreamt about owning a 'Chrome Boy'. A few months ago I managed to save enough to buy a JS1000BTB. It’s an amazing guitar and almost a dream come true (still want to get my hands on a JS10th). But one thing that I can’t seem to remedy is the action. It is way too high. Every time I lower the bridge when I start playing the higher notes (17+) they loose the note to the next fret up. And you can’t bend without getting the same results. I have read that I'll need to adjust the truss rod, but I'm worried about doing this. Is there anybody out there that’s had the same problem and managed to fix it? Is so can you drop me a line and tell me what to do, I basically need someone to fill me with confidence. I've never done this before and don’t want to do anything wrong and break the guitar!
Thanks in advance.
Greg

Hi everyone. I was looking through the JS stuff on Ebay and found a few "Additional Creations". Just FYI for those who don't have it yet.
gregstrut - Take the guitar to your local music store and have them fix it. It's too expensive to risk breaking on your own.

Thanks Austin, think I will have to do that. I dont trust myself and if I destroy it I will be devestated.
Talking of Ebay, I noticed a few JSY2K guitars on there. I wish I had the cash!
Thanks again
Greg

jblaze1: There wasn't much damage here due to the reinforced concrete building style they use, just a lot of tree branches to pick up and a couple of downed power lines....

Joe Great Job in LA!! I thought you and DT were the perfect complimentary line up.
I have a Satriani Tribute band and we all headed up from the SF bay area
to check you out, and as always (4th liveSatch show) I was elated!
Check us out Joe... maybe someday you'll pop in and jam with us at a club!
Or even better, take our original music act on a G3 tour with you =)

andy of uk - i wish i could tell you what problems you're having with quicktime, but there is obviously something pretty wrong if you still can't see or hear it if you have plenty of bandwidth. does *all* quicktime not work properly for you (ie, try watching other streaming - not download- stuff from www.apple.com/quicktime/)? if so, you may have something basic that can be fixed and you can work with apple support on (or search google for other users who've solved similar problems). fwiw, i've had reports from people with pretty old computers and slow connections who still haven't had any problems tuning in/
Whojackafibby - hopefully in the next week i'll get to uploading more tour pix-- i've got a lot that have been sent over the past couple weeks, including a few that jeff c. just sent today :}

Tapper5 - On board vs remote effects. Well first i'll say for effects, i'm the last guy to use them. No delay, not even reverb.
For distortion though, I sometimes use a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone. That pedal can blow or rock and it all depends on the amp characteristics.
For instance, through Fenders, the pedal is crap. Clean, crsip sounding amps just come off as sharp and thrashy.
For a nice tone with a Metal Zone, get a warmer sounding amp like a Marshall. It can even do more modest distortions. For a more modest distortion type with a Metal Zone, overdrive the level on the pedal and take the distortion level down.
For on board amp distortion, I don't normally take to it but there are 3 particular brands which sound more than excellent to me. Tech 21, Gallien Krueger and Mesa Boogie. These are awesome, awesome amps. I am there are some more amp models which are great but personally these are the best i've heard.
