Invigor, How did you manage to score a JS directly from the factory? I thought everyone had to go through a dealer to get one. Also, how much did they soak you for buying it direct, if you don't mind me asking?

Ovation 1, I still play with Lego's ;) My son has quite a collection of parts. On rainy days, we put together our own spaceships and fight the evil hordes that intend to take over our planet.

Chocoholic, you have a very good point. Good seats indeed. At my first "Satch" show, I had 3rd row seats right in front of Joe and Eric. It was loud as heck, but it was worth it.

Michelle, Yes, parading around in our underwear would certainly draw some attention. I'm going to check out that site with all the bumper stickers and whatnot...thanks :)

invigor - actually, not all minor chords sound "sad" at all. take the minor7 chord for example. sounds more major than minor, and it is used in a lot of major songs. it is a beautiful chord... SOTD: "STRANGE" listening to "borg sex" (album version)

ovation1 / stu hacking - Have either of you had the chance to buy some GHS stuff?

ovation1 - The "Mind Storm" Legos have been out for a few years. I remember getting them for Christmas back in 1994. So maybe Joe got the idea for the song through the Legos...maybe through Z.Z. playing with them. Although I seem to think of the song Mind Storm as a Brain Storm type of thing...
PhrygianDominant - You posted something a while ago asking about DVD easter eggs. If you go to http://www.dvdeastereggs.com/ you can probably find what you're looking for. Also...I found it funny that I read about you getting 200 posts recently...because I haven't been here for a few days, you're now at 220. LOL. And lastly...clicking the "news" button lets you read news updates, but it doesn't let you read all of Jon's T2J posts. Most of them say the same thing, but some T2J posts mention minor things that aren't worth mentioning in a news update. I think Jon deserves his own button...LOL.
XCrystal PlanetX - I don't think Joe ever did a version of Steve Vai's Bad Horsie.
michelle - I wear my JS tour tshirts on campus a lot. People that sit behind me (reading tour dates) always have trouble pronouncing Joe's name. But then I get to correct them and try to get them to buy a few of his albums. ;-)
Cu elinho - Joe uses a Boss DS-1 pedal for distortion. I think his settings are still 9 o'clock, 5 o'clock, and 2 o'clock.
Conrad sa - Welcome to the site! What are some of your favorite JS songs? What is your favorite JS album?
ptarvain - Yes, Joe gave guitar lessons to Steve Vai. To answer another one of your questions, you can probably find a copy of Additional Creations on Ebay for under $10.
jimisguitar - If it was up to Joe, he wouldn't have age limits at any of his shows. I'd try to call the venue to see if they'll let you in.
Subwoofer - Only one of the two songs (The Eight Steps and Slick) has been released. The Eight Steps appears on the Japanese version of SBM.
dragonchild - My favorite songs on FIABD are I Believe, The Bells Of Lal (Part II), and One Big Rush. Some of my favorite songs on CP are Ceremony, Raspberry Jam Delta-V, Time, and Lights Of Heaven. To respond to your other comment, you're right...you're never too old to start playing guitar. I'm sure you could find a fairly inexpensive acoustic guitar at a local music store. Buy one just to mess around with it...I'm sure you can pick up basic stuff fairly quickly. Oh, and yes the FIABD picture does resemble Jerry Seinfeld.
addy - The G3 with John Petrucci happened in the summer of 2001.
Phydeaux 3 - Formatting instructions are listed under the "Post this message" button.
jblaze1 - Yes, I recently heard the wanna-be House Full Of Bullets on ESPN. I made a post here about it, but you must've missed it. It was on Sports Center on Sunday night...NFL week 1.
zaximus - Joe resembles a lot of people from New York because he is from New York. He just lives in San Francisco now.
danny k - I gave your stuff a listen...it's pretty cool. I like Shazam the most.

Austin: so many posts! I never even really noticed! People were saying things and I was just writing away LMFAO! Thanks for the DVD link. It seems I *really* have the UK DVD - most of the easter eggs aren't there :-( I got to see Manson & the NIN band doing The Beautiful People but that was about it :-( ah well better get it next time I'm Stateside ;-) and I agree (thanks for confirming / denying) - Mr Luini should have his own little button!!!! And guess what - I *only just* noticed the correlation between Austin and Nitsua.... so yeah I can be a little slow at times LMFAO!!!!! Later, Dave

Oi! No "first Satch gig" thread! Some of us haven't had the pleasure!!!

Maybe Joe looks like a lot of New Yorkers because there are so many million of them, and he's probably related to a few of them?!?

No?

Yes?

Okay.

Hi, Joe! Is Asia survivin' the Satch tsunami? Hope the shows are going great and you're havin' fun! I've been into "Engines" in a big way for the last 2 days and I gotta put in my last few days' picks of Songs of the Day: "Until We Say Goodbye"...Wow! I think another fan once descibed it as 'caressing'-that's a good word to TRY to describe it, but some things can't be summed up in a word. Just when I thought the CD version couldn't be any more beautiful, I heard the "Live in SF" version and I think your guitar is even more emotional and expressive-awesome! I think I already picked this one before, but...what can I say..."Clouds Race Across The Sky" transports me to another dimension. All the layers of rhythm and the percussion with your gorgeous guitar floating over it-mmmm! A bit of Heaven on Earth! Thanks, Joe, for the soul medicine and keep those "Evening With" dates coming!

Man! Sometimes I'm grateful for disruptive sleep patterns!!!! I just saw "Is This Love", which makes me think John Sykes for G3!!!!

Other goodies: OK so they aren't so great, but I always loved this tune.....
All your dreams are made
When you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade
Tomorrow never knows
What it doesn't know too soon

Anyone know when tickets go on sale or if there is gonna be a presale? Also, Clarky and others, thanks for continuing the posts on theory. They're much appreciated. I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Keep shredin', later.

Hey does any one know what kind of Seymour Duncan pick ups are in Joe's other chrome guitar. I am a die hard DiMarzio guy but I would just like to know. Thanks.

GINOAMES They're Pearly Gates. Joe said he preferred the way they sounded on that particular guitar to the usual DiMarzio combo. Of course it seems to be academic now as that guitar ("Pearly") has been nicked by some eunuch.

Joe who?

My first Satch gig was G3 96, and I was blown away by Satch and Adrian Legg. That was all I talked about for a month. That is, until the day my mom walked into my room while I was listening to Satch, and she said: Oh, that sounds great. Is that JOE ADRIANI?!?!?!?!

je,je. That was a classic. But actually, you would be surprised at how famous Satch is over here in El Paso AND in Juarez. Everyone I know who likes rock knew Satch when I asked them. Dream Theater is also huge here. Every time I go to a concert in Juarez (which is not too often, as there aren't that many rock shows here) I get schooled by a younger kid who'll start throwing band names left and right. Which reminds me, anyone heard Symphony X?

At any rate, I still believe I'm the only person in Juarez to have a Blues Saraceno CD. Maybe in Mexico? Later.

PhrygianDominant - Don't feel bad about the Nitsua thing (For those that don't remember, Nitsua111@aol.com was my old email address...I keep it listed in my profile here so...). Before I got this new email address I would always have people come up to me and go "HEY! I just realized that your email address is your name backwards...". It was really funny because they'd be my friends from school that I would talk to all the time...but they never made the Austin/Nitsua connection. Anyhoo...
