p.s. The rehearsal vid is AWESOME! I really wish that I had been able to see all of it & all the parts. The Beatles jam was pretty nifty, I'd still love to hear Joe noodling over some Hendrix. (Or Zappa, but that's probably not very likely to happen.) Thanks again for the downloadables!

Austin: it's okay, I downloaded it last night. Good stuff, but guess what? I exceeded my download limit AGAIN so there's no convenient internet access until Monday morning for the second week in a row. This means I can't use email or T2J on the weekend or afterhours at all. #sniff# and I'm busy during working hours...

Naty: no i didn't know that, but it makes perfect sense. You might want to tell the guys that created StarCraft...

Ovation: "bonus track for Japan" HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Webmaster: rehearsal is cool...but why did you cut out just before the E-string bit in New Last Jam?!? I'd have liked to have seen a bit more depth of Joe's pedals, and I like to see the drums from the player's perspective too. It was a pretty cool movie though, so glad I finally got to see it.

BEN

PS get back, Jojo...

Kell, Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they never cease to be amused.

I crack my damn self up sometimes! Laughter is the best medicine in the world. I always say I'm here to entertain myself. If I can entertain others on my journey, then I'm happy!

Dave, are you from MN? Does that mean you have that wild accent that most Minnesotinites (ha!) do? To me, almost everybody has an accent. NY, Boston, MN, TX, all southern states, out west they say orrange (I say arnge - lol), even Philly pholks have an accent. O.k., is it soda or pop? lol! First time I heard my friend from Iowa say pop I almost wet myself. 1950what? I love the diversity we all have. It's so much fun to see everybody come together in this little box on my desk. Let's all hold hands and sing Kum-By-Ya (how the hell do you spell that?) lmao!!!

I'm having entirely tooooo much fun here.....

Heeeeeey Joe, stay away from the Fruit Loops man. People are having wierd visions of you with Fruit Loops! Stay away from the beakfast cereal!!!

JS Clone, I liked that shred video clip....nice playing.

Michelle, I actually grew up in the Boston area, so yeah I used to paaak my caaa at Haaaavvvaaad. Now that I've been in MN for 10+ years, I eat hot dish instead of casserole, drink pop instead of soda. I have to tolerate polka music in every juke box in the state...lol....and I pronounce the R's correctly when I talk. My family makes fun of me when I go out east to visit.

Hi everyone. I took my midterm today. I have absolutely no idea whether or not I did a good job...LOL. I'm just glad I'm done with it.

webmaster - Thanks a bunch for making the webcast downloadable. To answer your question, I really enjoyed the interviews with the band. It was great to finally hear Jeff discuss his drum setup, for example. For a suggestion for the future, I would love to see more "The making of..." footage similar to the Reel Satriani video. I know that can be hard to do sometimes, but I thought I'd throw the suggestion out there anyway.

The Local Person - I'll watch the rehearsal again soon to try to figure out what they're saying in I Believe...I'll get back to ya.
Coren - I love those moments when someone up on stage locks eyes with you or points at you. I've had that happen to me with both Joe and John Petrucci at the last few shows I've attended. Like you said, it's a great way to feel connected.
Stultzie - If I had to guess, Joe probably hasn't played in the northwest recently because it's hard to find a promoter up there.
stu hacking - That sounds good...let me know when you get to listen to the CD.
JS Clone 1 - The radio bits in GTA3 are pretty funny. There are a lot of hidden dirty jokes (similar to Bart's prank calls to Moe on The Simpsons). One of the DJs in the game is named Michael Hunt, for example.
Stu Clone - LMAO @ it runs in your jeans!
For Adun - You exceeded your download limit again? Oh the things people do for Joe Satriani. ;-)
michelle - I don't think I have an accent. I've lived everywhere so everything just blends together. I've lived in Michigan, Connecticut, two different parts of Louisiana, and four different parts of California.

Alright JS Clone, you'll get your wish...

Also, since I'm very not-savvy, I have to ask how to send in pics...

Just email them to Jon, right? Any special heading I need to use, etc.?

Stu Clone - You have to know the secret handshake in order to send the pictures to Jon. Nah...seriously now, just email them to webmaster@satriani.com. Put something in the subject that doesn't make the file look like a virus, and he'll upload them eventually. I think he's way behind on pictures, though, so it'll probably take a while.

Ok, I just finished transcribing the conversation Matt and Jeff were having during I Believe (in the rehearsal webcast).

For those that haven't seen it, they're listening to the FIABD version of I Believe while talking to each other in order to work out a live arrangement for the song. They're joking with each other...

Jeff (whispering / singing): ...sends me to a better place.

Jeff: Here we go.

Matt: Here we go.

Both (singing to the tune of I Believe): I'm Habib.

Matt: Ham and cheese.

(((I can't make out this part.)))

Matt: You guys pick them, right?

Jeff: I was following you.

Matt: Drummer cop-out right there.

Jeff: I was following the new bass player...we can make it up as we go along.

Jeff (in time with the song): Boom boom boom.

Jeff: Just keep them on the downbeat...let's keep them on the downbeat, I'll go boom boom.

Matt: You guys end right there, right? You don't do the double chorus.

Jeff: I don't know what to make of it.

Matt: Just play the drums.

Jeff: I just play it.

Matt: Shut up and play the drums.

Jeff: That's what I'm here for.
