Austin, cheeze-its and milk? Aaaaack....with all that salt they put on them? lol....
Cyberjoe, in your next post, start with when you open it and finally plug it in and get to play it.....I was just starting to salivate when you got to the opening it and peeking inside part, but then you had to go to work or whatever.
And then I read Austin's post about cheeze-its and milk and lost my appetite.....ha ha ha
I had a friend once who liked bologna and peanut butter sandwiches....gross!!!!

Hey, Joe! I'm checkin' in every day (if I can) looking for those 'Evening w/Joe' concert dates in NY/NJ! I was listening to Vai's "Living in an Ultra World" today again, and, apart from some songs I really love (like Great Balls of Gold!) I just kept thinking how much more inspiring your stuff is...at least to me. I read in an interview that you like to think about what styles you haven't played yet when you make a new record and experiment. I really enjoy the rock/latin fusion feel of Al Dimeola's 'Electric Rendezvous' and wondered if you ever considered some of that. I like complex music with many moods, tempos, etc. and I find much of that CD truly 'Electric'! The Spanish feel of the percussion and acoustic is awesome. You've already done some fun stuff with Banana Mango II that reminds me of a merengue (spelling?) rhythm...you know what I mean. Anyway...my song of the day...Hill Groove. It's funky, maybe a little jazzy (and I do like some jazz!) and is a definite lifter, which I could use today! Thanks!

Ovation1 : ni juu man en !!! wth ! that's quite expensive, but i saw a JS Y2K at 320 man yens here .... argh !
Typhoon left tokyo pretty fast ... yes, 60km/h, so it lost quite a bit of strength while it travelled on the land.
Last year's typhoons were much more impressive IMO.

drafter37 - That's disgusting!
NonSmoker - Everyone always says that the salt will make it taste terrible. I haven't tried it yet, though. I have both items (Cheez-Its and milk) here in my dorm, so I'll try it sooner or later. I'll let everyone know when I do...LOL. ;-)
JS Clone 1 - I ated the purple berries!

drafter37, reminds me of one of my wasted chef episodes. I made an egg sandwich with spaghetti sauce on top & garlic salt (maybe it was g. powder?). It was the best thing I ever ate!! I tryed it again when I was straight and it was awful! lmao!! I still remember how good it was that night though...
Cheez-Its & milk? Um, no thanks. However, I do have a box of Cheese-Its at my left hand, and a glass of wine at my right hand. Now THAT'S a good combination! 240 mg of sodium per 27 crackers. My Ass Become Wide :)
locust7, that sounds NASTY! I'll take your word for it.

Hey there
Is there any way you can reschedule the nov. 24th show in Vancouver? The house of blues has a 19+ age limit. I can't get in until the next day cuz it's my birthday. What a bummer huh?

Ya Yo Gakk - The Bone Bash III is a concert for the 107.7 The Bone radio station in San Francisco. It's just a one-off thing...it's not a tour or anything. Joe will do his own set...although I bet he jams with some of the other musicians as well.

hey guys,
good : cornflake sandwiches, basset's wine gums...
bad : green vegetables...
i've never been brave (or drunk) enough to try strange food combinations...
clarky : i can relate to the karate story... i've been training karate/kung fu/kickboxing for over 15 years... teaching for a large portion of that ... its very difficult to explain to new students that basics are the THE most important part of training... bad basics leads to even worse advanced techniques... the same applies to guitar playing (i'm understanding that better now!) or almost anything that we can learn in life...
cheers...
P.S. ... you never really know something until you have done it at least 100,000 times... my instructor about 15 years ago...

Hehehe... i am sorry for that 'premature salivation' part...hehehe...but what do you think i felt when i was sitting here at work, with a nice ibanez M100C case filled with all that beauty !!! i felt like running of, quitting my job and trying to find the nearest amp!!!
But ok, follow up, allthough it's not what i hoped it would be....no no no, don't be afraid....the JS1000WH is the best thing i could imagine happening to me....the sad part was that i almost didn't have time to play when i got home !!! i had a deadline working at home, so the case was open so i could peek inside every minute or so...
But i did plug it in....and oh man, what a joy...what a sound, what a feel, so much more sustain than my JS100....the neck....i start to drewl when i think about it again....i simply love this guitar....hopefully when i come home tonight i will have all evening to play it again.....but for the time that i did play it yesterday, it was absolutely amazing !!!
so...did this help ??? no premature ending this time....

Kinger - if you look back to my G-everywhere exercise post, you'll note that I stated that I pratice it at slow and moderate speeds, not flat out..... slow does not mean easy, fast does not automatically mean hard.... and this exrecise covers the entire neck, makes you change positions and it's plain tough to play well at any speed... if you're scrappy slow, like you pointed out, you'll import that scrapiness into your higher order techniques.... so at low speeds you'd be looking for good timing, even tone and volume, abolute note duration, slight accenting of the 1st semi quaver in the group of 4... etc... funnily enough, the more advaned a player you become, the tougher this exercise becomes.... it really is very hard to play well... but very good for you too...
